Ciao Bello! le tue lezioni sono davvero utili !! Bravissimo! Small punto! all your captions are in Upper Case - they would be easier to read if they were Lower Case. I find them hard to read. With Upper Case you just see a BLOCK of text. The eye actually scans the shape of the word - thats why Lower Case makes reading easier. Just imagine reading a book with all U/C words - molto difficile!!. Ma tutte le tue lezioni sono super !!!!! Grazie Mille!

Manu, I wonder often about the sounds of `o` and `e` in italian words. Open? or closed? For example, in `ho`, I thought it was closed. When I listen to you, I learn it is open like in `andrò`. In `questa`, `quella`, I thought the `e` was closed, but apparently it`s not. In `grazie`, I thought it was closed, but I`ve just learned it is not because of the combination of `i` and `e`. Is it worth it to make a video about this topic?

Hello, I'm a native Spanish speaker. Some times, when you pronounce the vowels "a" and "i" I hear an "e". This not happen always but in happened in more than one video. For example, in this video you said the word "olimpiadi". I listened several times and I always hear and "e" instead of an "a" (olimpiedi). Also it happened with the word "figli" I hear an "e" instead of an "i". I'm asking this because I found that is very interesting :) Thanks a lot for the videos! They are great!

Ciao Manu! Could you please do a video about the difference between "qui" and "qua" and "lì" and "là" ? I can not find a proper explanation anywhere. It would help me a lot! In my understanding you would use "vieni qua" as in "come here", but "sono qui" as in "i am here". Is that right? Thank you in advance!
@italymadeeasy
@italymadeeasy 4 года назад
"Qui" is synonymous with "qua". I can say both "vieni qui" or "vieni qua" and the meaning is completely the same! So "Qui/qua" means "here". The same happens for "lì" and "là"... they both mean "there". 😊

I like to watch your videos, but this is my issue with them: you speak too much in English and I have always preferred when who teach try to explain and make himself understand in the language they are teaching. I mean, it's OK to give a small explanation when there is a misunderstanding with something, but that's it. Please, could you restrain a bit your English? Thank you!

As a linguist and a person who has learned 5 languages, I decided to adopt the pedagogical method which, based on my experience, works better and is more useful: learning (teaching) the theory of a foreign language (grammar, strategies etc) in student's mother tongue (therefore English for the audience of Italy Made Easy), and listen to many interesting materials in the language that you are studing. Learning the grammar and theory of the Italian language in Italian would be a waste of time for the student (who would understand only a small portion of the concepts taught and necessary) and for me, since in that way my students would not learn Italian, or at least they would learn it much more slowly. We at Italy Made Easy produce a lot of 100% Italian content, but only interesting and fun things that students can use to improve their listening and understanding skills in Italian (and the pronunciation!!). In short, I hope you can use our materials to help you with learning Italian! 😊

@@italymadeeasy I totally disagree. I speak 4 languages and when I had a quick language learning experience it was when I was completely immersed in the language. Just remember your childhood years and when you first confronted grammar and writing at school. But, hey, it's your choice and your RU-vid channel. For me it is completely noisy in that way, but that is my personal opinion, perhaps for others it's the best in that way. Thanks, anyway, for your honest answer. I really appreciate your 100% Italian videos. I will keep watching them. Good luck!!!
