Wait. ChatGPT collects data without notifying users. The Italian privacy guarantor has blocked the service until the developers inform the user of this data collection. All you need to do is add a banner where ChatGPT informs people that the AI collects data during use
Literally every single app on your phone in fact every single app created collects your data one way or another even RU-vid the app you're on now collects your data games on your phone collects your data no app does not collect your data the only difference between all the apps is where the collected data goes to and your government watches every single thing you do on your phone so no matter what you are always being watched the only way to not be completely watched is to live off the grid which is unsurprisingly regulated so living off the grid is not really off the grid because you still need to be connected to the city for water and heat and you will need permission to do anything and everything so living off the grid people still know where you are and can collect information on you so basically if you want a real off the grid experience it'll be illegal because you are required to be grid tied so everywhere in the world your data is being collected and if you're not living with people I'm sure they use the satellites to keep information on you so you can't escape data or information being collected from you
@@kryptonian69 also teachers has students in multiple grades, with around 30 kids per class. Grading around 200+ tests in a few days plus preparing lessons is alot more work. Granted we chose to do it but please don't complain as it's not the teachers fault, it's the education systems fault
Germany can try to ban ChatGPT, but we can't do it. A website has already been banned here, you just have to choose a different DNS server, and the block is bypassed
Students needs to learn how to use those grueling software like Microsoft word or Google Doc cause sooner or later, your professor have to check your thesis and probably fail you if it turns out you used ChatGPT to write it. Your professor would prolly have you turn in first drafts, then second drafts, and so on so forth till supposedly it becomes the “final draft” in which it’s your voice, your choice of words, the MLA/APA you cited your sources in and that’s not even sometime you put have to put a table of contents to organize it. It’ll be dependent on how you integrate the evidence of your source into the essay and what your interpretation of said evidence shows your professor you have critical thought processes over these. Huh, I still know how to write essays even a few years after college. Oh I also used to write SO MUCH longer, so it’s extra bonus if you’re able to convey your sources & conclusions in a concise manner. Plus it took me a smidge while to edit this, what to write and what voice I want in this, until I feel I’m satisfied with it.
Well in reality ai cannot get banned because alot of people is for it and likes the invitation it only becomes a problem if it is a threat such as spying or gathering you private information either ways you cannot ban something that is just in development and pose no threat as of right now and I'm pretty sure you need a device to access this so in reality for kids to use it they would need a phone and alot of times the teacher tells you to put your phone in your backpack during testing making it impossible to use such ai technology.
@@whipMaNpleaserun I suppose yeah, you don’t know what is written is made by a person or Chat GPT, governments wouldn’t know what info they’re getting is real or generated. How do you know what I’m typing isn’t generated by ChatGPT? It’s so good at writing like a person. How do I KNOW it’s YOU typing this out. You could be a spam bot with ChatGPT integrated for all I know. Maybe I am generated because I actually use grammar instead of being one big run-off sentence masquerading as a paragraph.
Italian here 🎉 chat gpt is also considered a threat to schools since students got the chance to just copy instead of elaborate about a topic on their own. If I were younger, I would have LOVED the opportunity, but as a support teacher I have to say no 😅
It means that students that are studying in medical school are using this app to pass exams and this is not a good thing. These people are gonna be medical professionals one day and I honestly wouldn't want any of them to be my doctor.
@Shiokyuri it said "As an AI language model, I am not a licensed physician and I do not have the capability to perform any medical procedures." and then the list on what will the doctor do during the surgery
@@docavar5698no. Its not a reliable way. The main problem is that chatGPT only works by using text and phrases thats already been generated. In addition, it defeats the purporse of improving yourself. The brain wont form a higher complex of neurons. People using chatGPT for study purporses will remain stupid
@@An_unofficalYT tf does that have to do with anything. If they're able to get chat gpt during a test, they can search up thr answers. That is 6h3 education systems fault for horrible security
@@An_unofficalYT then lock the browser? Make it do the computers are locked onto a certain app for the time of the test. That's what most schools in the US do for the EOC or STARR
Maybe because they recognise that you're much better off learning how to use a new useful tool? It's the equivalent of a teacher in the 2000s encouraging students to learn to use Google search effectively. I'm very grateful for the teachers that took the time to do that back then.
@@your_fav_girl_called_lilly You just said it, boost your grade. Education nowadays is about grades instead of actually learning something useful. And as I said if an essay can be written by an AI then there's absolutely nothing useful about it for the student.
@@ruy_uwriting an essay is a good stimulus for learning to analyse, interpret and convey different pieces of information. If you seriously arent capable of understanding the core principles behind studying, you are better off not going to school at all.
Some guy in my country is sueing Chat GPT for defamation, I think it was alleged that he did some shady things ans he asked Chat GPT about it, which then said he did all of these things. I think it's ridiculous honestly. It's AI and would just pull from information on the internet and muddle it up in some way. Man is offended because he's guilty, I'd say.
That's not really true. I'm not really good at explaining, but Chat GPT doesn't really "think", it "predict" words related to an argument. An italian youtuber tried to explain the ban asking Chat GPT about who he was. Apparently, the youtuber is a rapper that made one of the most popular pop songs in the 2000s feat another famous singer. Then, it proceeded to show his youtube career. It straight up invented part of his background, this is bad
I think it was more he’s looking for a pay day. He wanted to see if he could get it to defame you, then sue for defamation. It was bound to happen eventually. If it works in his favor, which it won’t, it would be like a free money glitch.
I got an email from my school saying that parents should block kids from using chat gpt bc students are writing essays with it so maybe it's not a bad idea

@@Kue27 we still need to practise mental maths, because it helps us do quick sums like adding prices up, and improves overall cognitive abilities. However, ChatGPT writing essays is even worse for society. Children will not learn the material they are assigned, and will get in the way of their genuinely hard-working peers who don't use AI, thus yielding worse results.
@@ish4638 True, I agree with you on that. But outright banning the use of it for any purpose seems counter intuitive in the long term. AI can be a valuable tool for learning and understanding concepts you're not familiar with. It has the ability to answer your questions directly about any part of a topic. It even can read your paper and point out mistakes and recommendations. Like here is a counter argument that ChatGPT made for your argument, "While it's true that using AI like ChatGPT to write essays may be seen as unfair to those who don't use such tools, there are several reasons why it can actually be beneficial for society. Firstly, using AI to write essays can help students develop their critical thinking skills. Rather than simply copying and pasting information from the internet, students who use AI must still analyze and understand the material in order to effectively communicate their ideas through the program. This can help them better understand the subject matter and develop the skills needed to succeed in higher education and the workforce. Additionally, using AI can help level the playing field for students who may not have access to the same resources as their peers. For example, students whose first language is not the language of instruction may struggle to complete assignments on their own. AI can provide them with the tools they need to succeed and help close the achievement gap. Finally, the use of AI in education is becoming increasingly common in the workforce. By teaching students how to effectively use these tools, we can better prepare them for the jobs of the future and ensure that they are able to compete in a rapidly changing job market. In conclusion, while there may be some concerns about the use of AI like ChatGPT to write essays, the benefits of using these tools far outweigh the potential drawbacks. AI can help students develop critical thinking skills, level the playing field for all students, and prepare them for the future of work."
In college yes we banned chat gpt in Indonesia due to copyright reason , like the college student use this app for write some research paper and thesis Soo maybe what italy do might be right .
I'm pretty sure it's impossible to make a decent and valid research paper with ChatGPT. I tried to find some RRL with citations but it gave me non-existent references which I checked if it could be found and lo and behold, it didn't lead to anything. If someone does make an entire reliable and good research paper with valid and existing references, I'd be very impressed.
It makes sense, like some places in England are cancelling assessed coursework for students because they can't tell what is cat GPT and what is their actual work
ChatGPT doesn't allow you to actually learn about school and what it's meant for. School is meant for you to build connections, find what makes you happy, and to have fun. An ai that allows you to cheat on every test is not teaching you anything about the subject, it will only just do the exam it is getting pointed at, and since you aren't putting in the effort, you will never learn about the subject because you're using an ai to do everything for you. You will need this information later in life, and with an ai, you're not going to learn anything.
Honestly this will probably be good, people use this to do assignments way too much and it pretty much shows how lazy humanity is plus I wouldn’t really trust the person that cheated on their paper to do a very important job. W Italy in my opinion and W France Germany and Ireland for thinking about it
Idk man chatGPT is useful tools Sometimes it makes mistakes but i know that because i learnt it before..it also kinda refreshes my mind..kinda like a study group but with a robot...also sometimes it generated essay...i redo it to make it more easier to understand with easy words and deliver...i only used chatgpt as drawing guideline or benchmark...another reason because i got little anxious that if i blatantly copy i might get exposed so i do it my way
As a uni student I admit having it do some of the mundane stuff for you so really tempting. But I’d still say everyone should ban it. It’s a prime example of over reliance on technology. Students HAVE to be able to do basic skills like writing proper essays and conducting their own research. Media literacy is a huge deal, we can’t just be parroting back what a computer tells us. We have to be able to think critically for ourselves because these are skills and tools that create a well rounded individual who can adapt to situations, be independent, ambitious, self directed and so much more. I will say that the schooling system (at least where I’m from which is a western context) is so heavily flawed but this only exacerbates the situation.
Bro. This IS a tiktok that's been posted to youtube. "Ban the things I'm actively enjoying! I don't understand the world!" 😂😂😂😂 that's what you sound like right now.
Yeah, my future is doomed because of AI, as I only have two talents, those being drawing and writing - both of which being things which are rapidly being taken over by the evil AI corporations.
Funnily enough here in Ireland a lot of us are in agreement with the banning of chat gpt since we’re worried what will become of doctors nurses and education if it’s allowed
I understand why they would want to. My teacher earlier in the year said that they would probably start banning Chromebooks and laptops and the whole online homework altogether because of all the new ways to cheat ie getting ai to write your essays and stuff. And honestly I support their descision. Of removing ai, not devices
AI technology needs to be seriously reeled in and heavily regulated asap. Or just outright banned everywhere. That shit is scary and has serious implications that we just aren’t ready for.
So I’m from Ireland and I just checked the news here and there’s been no mention of Ireland is considering banning of the AI, but what I did read was that they are wondering why Italy banned it. They are not considering banning the AI they’re simply wondering under what grounds did they ban the AI
