Do you mean the 'move into the rightmost lane unless overtaking'? Seems safer than allowing passing on both sides. Shame that it is increasingly ignored in UK :-( (obv. we move to the left but you get the picture)
Yes, Liguria's autostradas are some of the most scenic in Europe. I've actually been there with my family! The rest of the Autostrada dei Fiori isn't that bad either (A10 - Italy)
Nice! Strangely enough it reminds me a lot of the typical landscape in southwestern Norway, i know, totally different climates, but it can often look all green and overgrown in the hills here too.
I must say that I'm fascinated!!! And the song is amazing! I must say that I'm addicted to these videos and I had to subscribe ... the landscape is something! I can picture myself travelling on these roads... listening to this songs... wow!
These are some pretty spectacular quality roads. I like how the surveyors/engineers designed the road so that it's very flat with little change in elevation even though the surrounding scenery has massive variation in elevation; they just dug through with tons of tunnels instead.

Ventimiglia is right near my father's birthplace, Imperia. Great memories from the vacations we spent there, though I can't get over the fact that the lanes on Italian autostrade are so narrow. Much narrower than on a French autoroute or German Autobahn.
Yes indeed ! I also noticed that... Not everywhere but when I drove on the Autostrada del Brenero, the lanes were much narrow in comparaison with France or Germany.

I guess that on mainland Europe you don't have austerity cuts on road, highways and motorway maintenance? You don't have litter problems and dumping on the sides of the motorways? What about endless stops and starts due to sheer weight of traffic? What about endless roadworks?
Les autoroutes à péage sont gérées et entretenues par des sociétés privées, c'est cher pour l'usager mais ça garantit une qualité des services (entretien des chaussées, propreté etc) En revanche, les routes de l'Etat ne sont pas toujours bien entretenues ...
I did pass that road 20 years ago that area is very cold 🥶 but is very beautiful there is so many litle Villages around there is one Village on border France & Italy they speak they own language its not catalan they around 300 people they don't have electricity or internet this is unbelievable the food and wine I try in that village was tasty didn't wanna brush my teeth 😀
on the Italian motorway it is mandatory from 15th november ti 15th April to have winter tyres or snow chains on board. On this motorway it will be very difficult to see snow, but keep in mind that if you decide to exit the motorway, in this region there are mountains, so if you have to go also in the mountains, I suggest you to put winter tyres.
Tutto questo entusiasmo per una normalissima strada. Vai in costiera amalfitana se non precipiti prima vedrai una strada con dei panorami che ti farà bloccare la mascella. questa che è banalissima. In Italia ce ne sono migliaia con panorami mille volte più belli. Si sa noi siamo l Italia il paese più bello del mondo
