Built in the 12th century, Bologna, Italy’s Garisenda tower is now tilting more than the Tower of Pisa and is at high risk of collapsing, but a $20M multi-year restoration project hopes to avoid that.
Go to Egypt and you'll see thousands of leaning buildings--with occupants 😂 Some are so close, neighbors can pass morning tea and breakfast back and forth!!😅
They did a pretty good job correcting some of the lean in Tower of Pisa with counterweights, which at its worst had a 5.5 degree tilt, corrected to 3.9 degrees. So this method should work well with this tower as well.
@@djocane Your comment shows that you can't comprehend words. NOTHING in that comment said what YOU choose to believe. YOU put words in his/her mouth. YOU chose to make that statement. That statement NEVER said ANYTHING about "want"ing destruction and death. YOU used those words. That statement simply pointed out that an earthquake could happen... YOU chose to DELIBERATELY decide what his/her thoughts were. YOU do NOT get to decide that he/she "want"s death and destruction. This is why education is so important. People can't understand simple sentences, so they just make sh*t up.
@@djocane My point is that YOU said the commenter "want"(s) death and destruction. YOU do not know WHAT he/she WANTS, because it was not discussed. He/she did NOT say their FEELINGS on the subject. YOU decided what he/she wants, even though it was not mentioned; you made that sh*t up on your own. 👍
I don't have telepathy to understand people's emotions and what they think, especially through the internet. But if the White House had structural problems and I said "All it takes is on bad 9/11" wouldn't it bother you?
I think the first task of anyone who invented time travel is to speak sharply to those pesky medieval Italians and forbid them from building tall structures. This has gone on long enough!!! Something needs to be (to have been) done!!!
who is selling it as culture exactly?? it is a tower built in a time where in the city of bologna there were 100 towers and was used for strategic and military use, this is history, history is culture, nobody is trying to sell it to you, it's just history and italy has seen a lot of great histories
What was it called before it leaned ? Just the Pisa Tower 😂 Buildings are leaning everywhere now, come to England all the buildings are disappearing down pot holes in the roads 😂
