Living in Italy 🇮🇹 is a dream come true. The people, the culture, the architecture! However, leaving your comfort zone and being away from family never gets easier, and that is the case for us every time we say goodbye.

Moms are the best. There’s nothing like the feeling you get when eating mom’s cooking. I’m a bit envious now that my mom is gone, but I’m glad that you had a great time together with your mom and brother.

I really felt for you when I saw you seeing off your mum and brother at the airport. You looked so sad. I really identified with what you said about farewelling people. Our daughter and my brother live overseas and we experience these feelings every time we take them to the airport. It is also the same when we farewell friends, whether they are going home or just away for a holiday. It is good to be grateful for them and your time together.Great idea to do something you enjoy on the way home! I usually find that I feel better when I get back into my normal routines and can do some of the things that I can't do when they are with me. I hope you don't feel too sad for long.
OMG food got caught in my throat and I could not swollow. Talk about a tear jerker. Definitely understand though and feel your pain. So nice of you to share your family. Our daughter her husband & our grandchild only live 3 hours away and I feel the same way every time we part. Mothers cooking is still the best. Love your videos.
That's part of life. Each family take its own decisions. When distances are huge it's more difficult. One gets used to it and just get the best of it, when we are together.. I'm glad you spent time with them.
ugh yes the emptiness! My family was visiting us in Italy with capodanno. For the 1st time we were all together and our house was lovely filled with laughter, board games, loads of talking. The 1st lunch I had, after them leaving, I was by myself. Yeah I felt that one 😅
I have always enjoyed your excellent videos, Fiorella. We also have a home in Agnone. I was wondering how you learned your Italian? Did you learn prior to you move from Australia? Any tips?
Ciao I studied Italian as my minor at university in Australia many years ago. As Spanish is my first language it really helps with the pronunciation. As for tips, I would get started with an app similar to Duolingo and do 30min a day to get my ear accustomed to the rhythm of the words :)

Your brother is a sweetheart but he looks like he's a troublemaker and I mean that in a loving way. I'm so happy you had fun times and made new memories. When I lived in Arizona and my people used to come to see me oh how I cried at the airport every time. I was wondering what's the speed limit on that road that you took to the airport.
