Knowing how heavy that unit is (22 kg) and how much it costs (and worth every cent!), added an extra moment of edge of the seat excitement as you chose to open it whilst standing on a ladder :) I'm looking forward to getting one a bit down the track when I have the $$$. I love that this one you can charge the AC side whilst plugged into solar and not just the DC side, and how fast it charges. Remarkable! Looking forward to the upcoming videos :)

Hi, great video, so do you see the main difference between the 1300 and the 2000 aside from larger capacity being that you can you can use the inverter and charge via solar simultaneously? Also what would be the difference between running and Engel fridge using the 12v input be the 240v plug and using the inverter. Thanks

I use both the 1300 and 2000 units for different vehicles for different locations. The larger capacity 2000 Watt unit give me extra capacity to run higher demanding power units, ie a blow heater. Great for cold climates, Snowy Mountains and Tasmania. The 1300 unit gets used from my Central Australia trips. I haven't done the test running the Engel on 12VDC vs 240VAC from the same unit and which is most efficient. My guess is the 12 VDC is more efficient. Less heat loss due to voltage current transforming power. I'll do the test one day.

Yes, you can charge with solar while using 240vac.

Yes, just plug in your roof solar panel via the mini Anderson plug into the PS2000. It will charge the unit until it reaches full charge.

Itechworld do a 150W 22V panel or a 42V panel - which one would be best with this unit and would two panels be better if I can fit them on top of the hiace? Thanks!@@Adventure8

@@Adventure8hey mate thanks for the informative video, Can you have a solar panel plugged into the station as well as having it connected to a 12v socket on the car at the same time. Sort of a set and forget way. So it will charge off the alternator while the car is on then when you switch it off it will automatically charge off the solar panel, so you don’t have to keep unplugging the solar panel and connecting the 12v socket and so fourth Thanks, Nick

@@nicholasprovenzano9245: Hi Nick. The PS2000 input for solar and car charging is the same socket. So you can only do one or the other at anyone time. The PS2000 internal firmware determines whether it needs to manage unregulated solar input or regulated car charging. I have a 100W panel on my car roof, so that is plugged in permanently (car parked for an extended time). When I go on tour, I plug in the car 12V supply as my preferred charging method. Hope that helps.

Can you run a 12 volt oven off it threw Anderson connection ?

Pity no 50 amp Anderson just that stupid yellow 12 volt outlet? Would need to make an adapter to Anderson. My camp oven draws around 15 amps.

Max watts from 12vdc is 1200W. Max watts via 240vac is 2000W. So there is an advantage to use AC rather than DC. Of course depends on your oven.

I bought the 1300P power station from Itech World in June 2022 use it about three times, now we are in Dec 2023 I had it fully charged a few days ago, turned on today and its dead and will not charge or work at all. its been looked after very well kept in a bag indoor in a clean room temp environment. What an expensive mistake Itech World .

If one has a "country fridge" containig thouands of dollars of produce - invest in a backup source - the "2 days power outage" - is likely less than "often" in frequency... most likely just sensationalist marketing... (it exists but rarely - in a 15 YEAR timeframe.)
