I believe this trip was well worth every cent. Planing was definitely key to the trip success. Sandwiches on a road trip is more of a personal preference😋 It reminds me of the old days when there were not many shops on long road trips. oh yes! I remember stopping for cheese and pickle sandwiches and a hot flask of tea near Lake Pupuke in my 20's (almost 30 yrs ago!). The picnic spots were the best 😊

Hi, so exciting that you’re planning a trip to NZ all the way from Reunion 🤗 The temperature is mostly nice and warm around that time, but could get quite cold if you head to Milford Sound 😊
