Waikeke is great, do your next trip in summer, and it will lift it to another level (there will be more people, which could a negative , depending on your view. Great vlog guys - from a 7 degrees CHCH 🥶👍👌👍

How nice that you can use public transportation to get around! Even better that a local gave you a lift. Love the views of the water and the vineyard. Plus, the wines look so delicious! And the skyline view at the end was so stunning. Amazing guys!

Such a fun day exploring. Those days that don't go quite as planned are sometimes the most fun. Your dinner spot on that beach 😍 wow! While the ferry ride back on the top deck was cold, it looks like it was worth it for those city views!

Just love watching you guys and all the exploring you do! I think the whole adventure is more fun if you don’t plan to much and just go with the flow! How beautiful were the beaches and of course the night lights of Auckland 🤩 just gorgeous! So glad you decided to brave the cold 🥶 - well done on another adventure! You guys have to take the car ferry and go and explore by yourself on Waiheke. Soooo many cool things to see. Also, come see Shakespeare regional park in Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa. Then you can pop around for a coffee at ours after 😝

😂😂glad that our bad planning can be of assistance 😅 We still had an amazing time though and it was an awesome adventure, but it would’ve been great if we could’ve popped into at least 2 or 3 more vineyards! I guess we’ll have to go back 😅

We went to Waiheke earlier this year and had a fabulous few days staying at Onetangi Beach Apartemnts for a few nights, it was fabulous!!! You have got to go to Mudbrick Winery & Ki Maha - honestly I think they are two of the best restaurants ever!!! You can take your car over leaving from Howick - its so much easier for getting around and exploring 🙂

All of the Hauraki gulf has hidden treasures. Fun fact Waiheke is the third most populated island in NZ. Most of us assume its NI,SI, Stewart Island, but nope..she's a suburb of Auckland..haha

@@BeingBedingfield it has been for a long long time with Waiheke being under rated. Reason is most of Auckland's weather comes from the west, so if there are hills in the way (Waitakares) you get a bit of a break and can enjoy the tranquility of the Hauraki Gulf. Coromandel Peninsula protects the gulf from the East, and waters are shallow...

I have Michael Coopers NZ vineyard encyclopedia...Waiheke is right up there...good volcanic/clay soil, moist warm climate. Once upon a time people assumed it was too cold and wet to grow amazing grapes...how wrong were they?? As a teenager on road trips I would entertain myself by counting palm trees as Dad took us from vineyard to vineyard. Yep I developed a love for vino after hating it initially. Recent decades he and I would argue the virtues of any wine. It was our closest bond as I wasn't an engineer. Anyway the only palm we cannot grow in this country is coconuts....shame

Ag you two are SO cute…Perhaps by now you have had opportunity to return to Waiheke island…and since you are earning the Kiwi $, allow yourself a splurge at the Mudbrick cafe (Go to the restaurant proper…perfect views, sublime food. I am sure you must have a birthday or an anniversary coming up soon). Enjoy.(having seen the video to the end, also rent a rental car for a day, I too utilise public transport where I can but on Waiheke, a car rental for a day is a must)

LoL!!! Stoneyridge Vineyard is supposed to be in an awesome microclimate...hopue u guys do it again when it is typical autumn dry. Us Kiwis call wine farms Vineyards :-) I had no idea the transport hub had lockers! Stoney Batter Estate on the far east of the island had a great reputation. Photo's of it and it's location look amazing. hope it is still producing. Auckland is exposed to rain from both sides. I reckon that vineyard must be the best location thanks to Coromandel peninsula mountains providing protection from the east, and distance from the west coast.

Goodness…that’s a tough question 😂 you’ll have to spend a number of weeks, maybe months to see it all 😅 we have so many recommendations already and we haven’t gone further south than Auckland 😅 So far, our favourite month (weather wise) was March, but apparently December till about April should be the best. We need a bit more time here to give better advice 😅

also scenic drive up in the waitakere ranges out west have stunning waterfalls(check out fairy falls walk) also hundreds of awesome hiking trails and stunning lookout over auckland...etc etc. Google is your friend for west auckland...your welcome lol

my dad used to own a bach in onetangi awesome place,how ever since his heart att ive being missing NZ and waiheke in particular ,Australia has nothing on the scenery of NZ and the people -ive seen reaction vids about ausses but they have nothing on kiwi's ,trust me you picked the perfect country - over here prices are more expensive than NZ and racist comments are common even directed at kiwi's NZ has its problems but compered to the world its nothing
