I just got this done today 11/24/21. It’s a game changer! My hair is off the hook looks like Cher the singers hair from back in the day! It’s bone straight! My hair comes down my back to the bottom of my bra so I did this to make it touch my lower back. And I highlighted it!
I love love LOVE microlinks...its SO much better then the sew-ins and it doesnt break or pull my hair out when I take it out. Its also alot more heathier. With the looks it looks a whole lot better more real looking.
@olivia young I always have my stylist take them out for me. When I first got it done years ago I tried to do it myself with the pliers and it just didn’t work
Wow! You did a fantastic job. Her hair looks like it's growing from the scalp. So natural. I have never been to a stylist and came out and felt happy with my style. But if I walked out with that style I would be smiling ear to ear. 😁😁😁.
I just want to see someone do this and style the hair curly 😩 It turned out beautiful! I have a similar texture but I dont straighten my hair so I want to see how it moves/looks when styled curly.
You did amazing in this install. I ordered some hair from her after watching this video. I wanted this same hair but she sent me some other texture that was wavy and assured it was the curly hair and all I needed to do was wash the hair and it will curl. It didn’t curl she apologized and said she would refund my money when I sent back the hair in December let’s just say she has been ignoring me and hasn’t sent my money back. I been communicating with her via email and on PayPal. I was really looking forward to trying her hair but it’s ok I found some from somewhere else.
You did such a great job!!! However, I’ve seen some microlinks sticking out badly if not well covered by natural hair. I prefer a sew in weave lol. But you did an awesome job!!!!!!!

You performed magic. Her hair looks so natural. I loved it. I would love to see a demo where the front is thinning and the back is normal. My hair is long in the back, but the front is shorter, I cut it and the front is thinner. Can you show a style for that?

lol thanks Athena, yes the hair will curl back up. She has only been wearing the hair curly since we recorded this video back in August, she's obsessed ! She also ended up dying both the tips and her real hair jet back and its a seamless blend. No frizz

Excellent Job!!!! Make me want to try it but my hair is thin. trying to convince my younger daughter of trying because she love wearing long wigs and sleeping in them. I think this will work for her.
Good jobs - It looks really great. I just noticed you said it is a protective still but you Hair runs the risk of breakage. I would say this is not a protective style, even if not flat ironed daily as you said added tension and your Hair is completly out. A lot of my white friends who have been using this method for years are now wanting to find a new method as it has thinned their Hair so much. (Some might be down to a lack of maintenance and care) but I’m not sure about this method for continual use if trying to maintain long /thick hair
that's very true. is tension and stress on the that square area of hair. clients have to be encouraged to take their time when they can or brush their hair and don't be too rough 😉
Hello! I have some questions: Are these microlinks comfortable to sleep in? How long would you suggest wearing these before taking them down? How long do you wait before putting more links in? I normally wait at least 2 weeks to allow my natural hair to breath before moving on to braids or sew ins Thank you for answering my questions 😊

I wouldn't personally call this a protective style. there's low manipulation styles (buns, ponytails, basically stuff you're only keeping in for a week or two). there's protective styles (box braids, mini twists, locs, etc) that keep your hair completely protected. and then there's just regular hairstyles (basically anything with leave out). I hope this helps!
