Why can I picture Jack as a bad office worker, trying to give everyone high fives but also shouting at the staplers.

The sad truth about life is that if everyone got their dream jobs, then the humanity couldn't function properly, because there is no one to do the shitty jobs. With that in mind, respect the people who do the shitty jobs, because without them you couldn't do what you do today.

I'm actually going through something at the moment and everyday I feel like giving up... I try to be happy for my kids but it's hard when the people that are supposed to build you up, tear you down each and every day then having absolutely no one to talk to about anything... Here's the thing: I feel the way the Bob does, trapped, monotonous, etc. The only difference is the fact that I'm not even in the workforce yet. I'm still in school, and yet I'm having "what-I-am-I-doing-with-my-life" crisis's. And, it's kind of scary, to feel like you are unimportant, or that doing the same thing every day (in this case going to school) will make no difference in the world whatsoever. This probably doesn't mean anything to anybody but I just thought that I could put my thoughts out there since it's relevant to the video. And, because Jack mentioned it, I just want to say that I care about Jack and every person in this community. You all have helped me and so many others, and I thank you for that.

damn, this was deep. this really rang with me, i'm only 13 and i don't have a job. but i think about stuff like this everyday, and how life is so short to just be sitting there doing monotonous work. i have absolutely no idea where to go to in my life, but i don't want to end up there, but it's really hard to get out of that possibility. i'm always dreaming about a world where jobs were actually fun, and people enjoyed what they were doing, but most of the time i know that only some people get to do that, and the other unlucky ones get stuck doing the tough but necessary jobs for a society. i've only recently kind of gotten out of my huge existential crisis, but i just want to say what thought can help me endure school: whatever work you do, it doesn't have to be your life. tell yourself that whatever job you're doing, you're working to be able to do what you love. if you keep thinking that, time might just fly a bit faster at work or school, it gives you a boost of motivation. keeping a positive mindset will bring you halfway there, and the rest, just take it slow.

Yo I started crying in the end. I'm studying engineering in school so far and it's totally NOT what I want. I'm literally just doing this because of my parents. Everyday I don't want to wake up because I don't want to waste my days with things I don't like. I'm probably gonna grow up to be an engineer for my parents even though they never stop to ask what I want. The end talk just made me think more about that. However, I honestly don't have anyone to talk to and I feel like I'm not cared by anyone so it just made me feel. I never feel loved or at home anywhere. But when I watch Jack, I feel like he's my home. He's the one that always makes me smile. Sadly to him I'm just another face in the crowd of fans. I'm sorry I'm ranting. No one probably cares enough to read this anyways so I'll just stop...

Since this video had a serious end, I want to say this despite the fact Jack won't see it. I haven't been watching him super long, but so far he's helped me through a lot. I remember one day I woke up, and already, I was crying. I couldn't force myself out of bed, but I watched some of Jack's videos and I actually started laughing and I felt motivated to get out of bed and do some things that day. So people can laugh all they want, but Jack really cares about his fans, and we care about him. He's made an amazing and supportive community so I just want to thank him and and all of you for just being such great people and such a great community. Sorry this was such a long comment, I just thought it was the appropriate time to post it.

I revisit this video every year, every time I get some moongrapes, and then I enjoy an older time depicting a newer thing I would one day be involved in.

I've never related to a game more than this one. I'm in a dead end job myself, with no hope for advancement, no social life, no idea what I'm going to do with my life, constantly in a state of existential crisis, and not always having a lot of time to "get away," like watching Jack here, or the ballgame or whatever. The only difference is that I'd never consider suicide to escape, even though that may be the only thing that stops the stress. So I'm pretty much trapped until some external force (or my own stress) kills me. That being said, Jack, you help people like me cope and escape from the perpetual torment called life so much more than anybody realizes. Thank you for everything you do.

This game kind of reminds me of depression. At the end, they jumped for their freedom. Like how they might commit suicide because they think it’s “happy”. I suffer from it too, so I have a slight understanding. Throughout the game, everyone just seems dull and sad.

This is the main reason why I love Sean. Whenever he looks up from his screen, it really feels like he is looking at you rather than just looking at a camera. You really get to connect with him that way, rather than some RU-vidrs who never connect or interact with the people watching and you just feel like some guy in the background watching someone play a game.

Jack thank you so much for your speech because I struggle so much with staying motivated with college when all I want to do is RU-vid. To anyone else out there who feels alone like Jack mentioned, you are valuable! Also studies show that smiling makes you feel happier so smile through the hard times because it always gets harder before it gets better :)

I just wanted to say thank you, Sean, for literally being the best youtuber I've ever watched on this website. There are a lot of really good people on here that do good things and aren't just doing this job for the money or fame but actually want to make people feel better and I can say with full certainty that you are doing just that. I have been stuck in a really awful place for the past year or so and I just recently found your vids about a month or 2 ago when I watched you play Detroit: Become Human and I fell in love with your charisma and Happiness because that is exactly what I needed in my life and still do. You and your videos truly brighten my days every day I watch them because you're so positive and you really care about your fans. I was stuck in a dead end job and I found a lucky break to get out. I'm now in culinary school and living my dream. But your understanding of other situations, knowing that it's not so easy to just up and find another job, how you spoke of your connection to your fans, speaks volumes of your character. Believe it or not, in my previous job, and after I lost it, your videos were indeed what I came back to every day. You did help me a lot, and while I know all too well I can never get over my mental disorders, I just want to say one thing to you, even though you will probably never read it: you saved my life. Again and again and again. I'm not doing well, and I won't be for a long time, but the connection I feel with you whenever I watch any of your videos helps me to keep holding on to that edge I tried to let go of so many times. I hope you never have to feel the disappointment of waking up the morning after you took far too many Xanax pills and downed them with beer to amplify their effect, hoping you will drift away in your sleep, or the pain that leads you to banging your head on the door hoping it'll split into two, or the emptiness and that feeling of being hollow that brings you to hurting yourself so much that you leave scars on your arms and legs, because you need to feel that you are alive somehow. Changing jobs sometimes is all it takes to make it better. Four months ago I thought it was a curse that I was fired, now I feel like I was blessed. I found a wonderful new job, and a much better life, and it is indeed going better. I can't fully get over it, but I can keep it under control, and well, I think I'll manage. And I have to say, I haven't been a member of this community for very long, but I love it so much, I got so much support when I needed it. That whole bit about watching RU-vid to not feel lonely is sooooooo relatable, I often watch youtubers when I'm alone at work like right now or to help call asleep at night and block out anxious thoughts. Thank you for that Jack, you are quickly becoming a favourite channel.

Note that the game essentially finished at around 15:00 give or take yet the video went on for another 7 minutes, just highlighting the fact that Jack tends to discuss/divulge information/thoughts/ and in some cases emotions once he's ended/finished a game with a deeper/darker meaning, most youtubers don't do this, they'll merely end a 10 minute video with please like and subscribe or some cheesy dance song outro.

Being out of college with two bachelors and still struggling to find the "dream job" has been especially hard for me the last 2.5 years... I've always had high expectations for myself and seeing where I am now is like me kicking myself til I bleed. While grateful to be working decent money during this pandemic, going into the office job I have every day is steering me away from my idea of a perfect job and sucks any optimism into the void.... Having someone like Sean being able to make me laugh with his content, take me out of my mental struggle for a time, being able to communicate in such a heartfelt way about some things that're tough at times makes a WORLD of difference for me! Most of November I was having major depression issues and I was planning suicide at some point because I just gave up. It may sound crazy but after watching your videos I started to feel better and I've been watching them. I've been watching you since you started and I loved your content. So when I started feeling upset I went back to your channel and it just really helped so thank you a lot Jack for being a great RU-vidr because your videos are great.

coming back to this years later and the end message speaks volumes to me. We are in that exact position where a job that makes us feel a need to escape in this same scenario but we are pushing through this. Things do get better, each person has their own way out, some people need a bit of help, but the end message is definitely something that needs to be said to as many people as possible.

Video games are just so fun to play and music, I feel really gets me in my own zone and I can sit and relax and chill for one second during the day. I feel like this points out that it's always Monday because no matter who, when, or where, there is always someone feeling this way. Also, the different steps to freedom could represent the way people often deal with this feeling. Some people distract themselves (chatroulette), some go to a place that calms them (fish pond), some try and brighten other people's lives (secretary), some resort to violence (one punch the boss man), and some people simply decide to end it all (window). This was a very powerful presentation of so many different cases of the same emotion. I am very impressed. Congrats to the game creator and congrats to Jack for playing this so I could see it. =]

I used to believe that I had to get a 'sensible' job, one that I knew I would hate, in order to support myself. I'm a creative person, I love art and writing. I used to pray that I'd be able to do RU-vid as a job--until I realized I'm not good at that at all, haha. But now I've only got one more year of high school, and I've made my decision: I'm not going to do something I hate when I'm an adult. So that's why I'm trying my hand at graphic design, and hopefully one day I'll be a published author. Wish me luck guys :)

I have big dreams and it's my only option in life. If I can't live my dream, I have failed. I can't imagine myself doing anything else and I don't want to imagine myself doing anything else. It scares me. I want my dreams to come true and it will... Because I'm going to try my very best.

It truly is wonderful to sit and do homework with jack in the background talking to me. It is so weird to think we live in an age where there are millions of people who follow youtubers because they are more if a friend than the friends we have..

I really needed this today; we got stupid new curriculum in science, our math teacher wants us to finish an entire chapter and have a test by the end of this week, and in language arts we have to answer 12 questions in a complicated format. This kinda hit right home. At the moment I'm both trying to recover from mental illness and also study at uni, but I don't even know if I want to study my current field. I love getting recommended 7 year old videos

I know this video is old and that nobody will see this comment. But I kinda need to let it off my chest (don’t know if it’s the correct words I don’t speak english very well, sorry). I started watching your videos a year and a half ago. I’m belgian, my native language is french so I only followed french speaking youtubers for years. My english level improved with time so I decided during the lockdown to go see the english speaking side of RU-vid. That’s when I discovered you. And I really love your vibes, I love your passion, and your videos always make me smile. It helped me a lot, at that time I was deeply struggling with the grief of my mom. And it’s still helping me. I just scroll on your channel, take a random video and watch it while playing with my stim toys or video games. Today, I found that one on the clip channel and I was curious so I clicked on the link. My depression became worse again recently, and the night is the time were the suicidal thoughts are coming. Watching this video triggered it at first, and I started feeling bad and fighting even more against those thoughts. I’m currently struggling with the monotonous of school and the ton of work they give us. I don’t feel like I’m really living my life, days are all the same. I don’t even know who I am anymore. What you said at the end helped me to calm down. I’m making it to another day, and I hope it would continue like this. Thank you a lot Seán, you’re amazing

Hey, I just wanted to say something if you were debating whether to or not self harm/commit. The hardest thing to deal with sometimes, is life. So far I've had some depression, I haven't found any real cure for me. you might feel extremely helpless, but if theres one thing I can attest to it's that it DOES get better. I've struggled with depression for the last 5 years. No one seemed to care whether or not I was alive, at the time I was in school and even the administrators and teachers were absolute trash to me. Last year though, I found a person who shared my interests and we became extremely close friends. This year we both told each other how we were depressed and that we basically saved eachother. So long story short, try to talk to people, try as hard as you can to find someone similar to you who you can depend on. It makes life 100x easier.
