sorry, I wanted to do what you did with rank 3 (putting 0 instead of 10) with rank 2 (putting 6 instead of 0) just to see how much energy was lost, and it said "#REF". I understand you didn't put the "formula" because you don't need to know about rank2, but for a 110% spreadsheet completed can you do it for next event? thanks :)
@@OmiwanKenomi Hi I have checked the document shared and also noticed that the function for level 2 was missing/incorrect. In the training tab you can just add to two columns (D15 "=200*I17") and (I17 "=IF(Q5=0,0,VLOOKUP(Q5,'XP Charts'!$U$3:$AA$61,3,FALSE))") That is the quickest way. I hope it helps.
@@elfishmoss1457 that prices go up with inflation I get it, but this is like a 40% increase , which has no relation with real inflation whatsoever and is just plain ridiculous. That is Raid how we know it, pure greed and grabflation. I just hope people stop spending the big money all together so Raid actually need to work for its money like everyone else.
@@colincook00 This is clearly not necessary given the odds. Only 9% of people will complete it at the 38th card or earlier. Less than 3% at the 37th card or earlier.

Amazing. They found a way to ruin it. -40% value on your eternal stones, but they still cost the same, and -30% to champion training. I was all prepared for this. Now because they did that I can forget about it and do something else. I won't flip a single card, even if I accidentally earn enough points to. That's without even mentioning that they doubled the chance you have to go to the last card.
Thanks for the great breakdown of points and requirements. This is a game that is supposed to be fun and a break from the work grind. All these events are either a crazy time sink or tons of money. I don’t need another job and money is better spent on AI stocks if you want a decent future. It would be interesting if you also put what the costs would be to buy the soul stones. This is a hard skip just like the post Thor fusion. I think raid is giving great examples of how to eliminate a player base.
Same. If they nerfed the points by a reasonable margin it would have been fine but they went way overboard and killed my drive for this deck of fate. Pretty much 90% of my clan is the same.
@@marcelherzog3735 30-50% for champ training, 40% for stones was silly. No one should do it or buy stones during this "event", it's the only way they'll change.
@@futux8534 yeah, I understand. I was prepared to for it, I can technically complete, about 16k points in stones available and bunch of food ready to level, but not going to engage on principle.
I love how people were like "oh cool we get to use our souls in this event, interesting change instead of the prepared shard summons we have, ok I'll use my prepared souls" Event starts and the points for souls are nerfed by a large amount meaning no one was actually ready for this. To the point that doing it the experience levelling way would cost multiple thousands of gems in energy
I was going to go for this. I had done a fairly substantial amount of prepping food ready to rank up, but seeing the points... nope, not doing this bullshit. Plarium are daft, they should be doing everything possible to stop their playerbase thinking 'wtf am I doing' 'this is too much' 'am I enjoying this' etc. Well done, Plarium, I'm now questioning whether I should be playing the game *at all* now.
Too bad, was hoping to get all 4 of the asgardian barbs but i guess i´ll settle for 3. Not giving Plarium any of my resources for this bs. They can suck a big one.

Thank you very much for all the hard work you put into the stats, i was thinking of giving it a bit of a go, but not now. I will pull stones when there is a chance of better souls, and i am not going to do champ training. Might get some points and hope i get 1 or 2 good items from a few chests
Been looking forward to this deck of fates since the start of the asgard event, then they come out of the blue and state that it's ******* soulstones and not shards. This is why they need to announce in advance because I know many people saved shards from the odin champion chase in order to do this deck of fates
This is exactly why they didn't include shards and nerfed the points. They knew a lot of us are skipping the fusion and most of us have soulstones stockpiled so we have shards and stones to burn without spending money. Its just a cash grab.
People that were around for the Monster Hunter event, knew it would be Soul Stones. Plarium repeats itself. Alatreon was obtained from Soul Stones and Training.
If it makes sense to brew 3 star food champions for efficiency, then it also makes sense to brew 2 star champions, since they are worth equivalent leveling points in this deck of fate.

Thanks Saph, another very clear and awesome spreadsheet video 🥳. Plarium nuked the points we can get for each soulstone, champ level and rank by 30-40% and I will respond by nuking my effort to obtain this champ by 100%. Btw, where is all the ‘Xena-style’ outrage? I did pay $40-50 for Xena. For Freyja, If I bought the big soulstones, I could buy five 2-packs at $60/pack. This works out to be 30000 points for $300!!! AND I AM STILL SHORT 10000 points!!! Surely this deserves outrage?

I was thinking I may go for Freya and had saved up shards for it. With this deck of fate requiring soul summoning and champion training, and with the points being nuked compared to past events, I'm not going to be going for her now. Thanks for the breakdown Saph!
Thanks for the detailed calculation! Easy pass for me. If they are trying to push us, it can go both ways. I will pile up my resources for the future events.
To be fair, I got her through the 10x shard event about a month back luckily. She actually is worth it and her shield is great. A very good champ overall, but plarium as usual has to find a way to screw over everyone.
I will get Freyja. I've been planning on this event taking soul stones all along so I actually have just enough saved up to complete the DoF without any champ training. I got lucky planning for the soul stones, but I think it is completely wrong of Plarium to nuke the points like they did for this event. They just continue to push people away from the game.
So last 2x early August you knew this Asgardian event was coming and it would have a deck of fate for a champ using souls so you didnt pull? Its ok to admit you just buy soul packs whenever they're up, you wouldn't be the only one and its what keeps this game running for us F2P.
@aelinstue9431 No, I did not know it would, I just had a feeling it would. During the last boosted summons for the smaller stones, I pulled all the small stones I could. Yes, I bought some. From then, I just saved all the coins to make larger stones. Once I got to 10 Eternal stones I just started saving essence for souls in the shop. I never even tried to imply I am F2P, don't have the patience for that. Much respect to those who are, better people than I.
So you're signalling to Plarium they can set the resource cost higher and higher and players will still pay. Not me. I have more than ample resources to complete this deck, but I will not be doing so - I don't want to tell them what they're asking is acceptable.

I knew they would do another Soul Stone event to get a guaranteed champ since they did it with Alatreon in the MH event. I saved stones since then and now I get a guaranteed champ just for pulling them.
I skipped the 2x soul stone last time for this event (including mortal soul stones). Between the 2x event before that to now, I have enough soul stones for comfortably complete the event. They have given a lot more immortal soul stones in the last couple months. Maybe do an updated analysis of soul stones we get these days and whether doing iron twins is worth it?
The calculator spreadsheet was amazingly helpful, thank you! Just wanted to see if the points were even remotely doable for me with what I have. I agree that the event is horrible, but at the same time most souls events are horrible, so I'm thinking I may as well get a champ out of it. I've been saving mine since Padraig hoping for another champ event, not sure if this is worth it but eh will see
I've been playing 4 years and only had 1 feast...used it a while back to get a 3* Rare instantly to rank 6 when building teams for Rare Secret Rooms. Pretty neat item, actually.
Saph, do you agree with the following calculation I was not the one getting to the numbers, but I think they checks. 1. Train up 3 rank 1s to rank 2 (36 points) 2. Feed 1 brew each at rank 2 (27 points) 3. Feed those 3 rank 2s (few points depending on rank) 4. REPEAT 63 points plus for 24 energy. Will have to do this 635 times, resulting in only 15k or less energy for this event!
I actually wanted to go for Freya but with reduced points and no shard summoning I just can't do it. My gem reserves are still down from the Thor fusion and titan event.
great video, great spreadsheet, I would've done this if it was the old metrics as i have a lot of currency saved up in the mystic market - but now I don't want to convert it all to only have to still spend thousands of energy on top of that
I was planning on it since I was skipping the fusion, and I got my Odin soul from my tournament win but this is such a slap in the face I refuse to interact with it. It's a shame because that Heart of the Cards badge is calling me!
Seeing the soul stone points may have changed my mind on doing this. I was ok with champ training but now this makes it A LOT a lot a lot to do 😅 I was ok with exhausting resources but honestly think it will go beyond what I even have right now…. The challenge rn is wondering if freyja is worth skipping the Halloween fusion.
Freyja was always going to be out of my orbit, realistically, as was the fusion but i'm currently drowning in 3* because I took on the clan quest to rank 100 uncommons and i'm earning points by default of that. A couple of cards to pick up books or shards will be a nice side reward to the clan gold I need to complete my Yannica in the next CVC with personal rewards, along with farming the food to upgrade her
I was on the fence, leaning toward doing it. I need to build up my roster so I can push Cursed City further. The point nerf absolutely pushed into not even bothering.

Is the new pinning system not in this deck of fate? It was my understanding that it is the reason rewards for the chests are lesser now because you are more or less guaranteed to get the epic chests. Will stay away either way because the requirements are ridiculous.
Think that system is not going to be in all decks - maybe an experiment on their part or something they feel they can add/remove to make deck events feel different.
The pinning system will most likely be used as bait on decks that have nothing else really going for it, to motivate people with a reasonable reward (3 epic flips). This event already has Freyja, so Plarium, greedy as they are, didn't want to give people too much and removed it.
was planning to go for it for the collector in me but not gonna do it. Feels better to know those resources will remain on my account than the idea of pushing for it and coming short due to time constraints
so I got freyja with 9 big stones and 22 medium. all saved, no spending involved, after last 2x soul event (4-6 weeks ago?) I had only 4 big stones, from that time I got 30 medium and 96 small stones, half of small is from iron twins the other half from events and other places in the game. 5 big stones were bought by selling some rare and epic 5-6 star souls I got during 2x events.
I already wasn't going to pull soul stones since there's no event but I feel so disheartened by Plarium's blatant disrespect to their playerbase! This is the 2nd to last big event for Freya. And event that many have frustratingly waited for and instead of leave things to be as they were, Plarium nukes the points and then still expects engagement in this event! They keep spitting in players' faces and then wonder why there was such uproar about the possible nerfs. Why thus morning EVERY CC VIDEO has literally said, "Plarium, WTF?!?!" in some form or fashion! There has always been a Raid killer in existence and it's Plarium!
I was gonna go for it when I thought I'd have enough soulstones, but i'm not about to both deplete myself of soulstones and still do a ton of champ training for a champion I don't even really have a use for.
Why is no one covering the fact you also need the food champs for training, and that also means shards. Usually people are out of food champs by the time a new event is up. That's why for fusion the Champ Chase and Sumon Rush is a good as it gives those champs.
I was planning to do a lot of champion training and only open soulstones at the end if i had enough to afford 35-40 cards. Now that they almost halved the points for the stones i'm just going to skip it. Its a shame because i was waiting for this event for months and i had shards saved up.
I was going to do it but I'm skipping now. Admittedly, I did pull her going for the Thor souls (not a boosted summons, just random). Don't really know what I'd do otherwise. Probably I'd skip since I don't think I need her and don't currently have plans to build her. Back to mino for me!
I have to correct you there: "it won't be as bad as Alatreon because I went for both champion and 5star soul" :D This morning I went and see the comparison with him: yes it was a Path but according to you and other CC he was about 108k points, with the soulstones like this: 100/1500/7500 and the training a bit over triple of this deck of fate (like 675 instead of 200 for a rank6 and 225 for rank5 instead of 70). Overall, considering we will need 39cards it's like doing Alatreon with 117k points, is it not? The souls was a very added bonus imho, for wanting to be "insane" and do it all :D I didn't go for Alatreon and I am on the fence here. Still, about CvC, one player can wait and do it on wendsnay evening or thursday morning (if he can) if he needs points, and thurdsay afternoon/evening if he can't do points for CvC, don't know Why you always say "Today or tomorrow"
@HHGamingNetwork Thanks for the vid, that saved me from snap pulling Souls before looking! Question: this is a big enough greed grab from Plarium, that is has me wondering if they suddenly need to bleed resources from us for something. The thing that popped into mind is I feel like Mythical fusions will be coming within the next six months, and now I'm questioning if Soul Chases/Rushes will be a cornerstone of those, like the regular Summon Rushes for Legendaries. Normally I'm somewhat of a Plarium apologist, since I think its a business and I love the game, so I don't mind them making money off whales while I grind F2P. But nuking the points and juking the timeline on this deck of fate is just bad faith acting on their part; I want to spend my souls/shards but can't because now I need to skip this horrible return on resources.
I'm not sure it's worth using brews on 3 stars... Purely from a level point of view you're getting 1 extra point per brew by taking a 3 star to level 10 compared to a 1 star, but by putting it into a 1 star you're going to generate more 4 and 5 stars in the long run. Over the course of the deck I think you'll end up better off by not brewing your 3 stars.
⚠TO ANYONE ADDICTED TO SPENDING or JUST PLAYING THIS GAME⚠...I stopped spending a couple of months ago. I have saved a lot of money and that feeling to need to spend gets less and less every day. BTW I was spending over $1000 every month like clockwork before. I would drop $1000 a week at certain points. The energy thing is what did it for me. All this other shit is just CRAZY. STOP FUCKIN SPENDING on this garbage game and do something else with your money. Do that other thing that you are always thinking about instead of wasting your money in this absolutely INSANE scam. Wait for GODFORGE to come out and dump plariums joke of a money grab.
I went all in on the last deck for Thors soul. I turned 32/40 and it was a grind. I used some shards but mostly champ training. I barely got it done. I can't sit around for the next 4 days and make 6 six star champs. She's good but she's not that good. Whereas Thor's soil was worth it
I don't get why you don't take commons and uncommons for 1 campaign run. If 3*'s are 1 pt per lvl and you take them to lvl 10, then you are getting 1.69 pts/energy (9lvls*3 champs/16 energy for 2 runs). If you take commons and uncommons for 1 run, you get 5 lvls*3 champs/8 energy or 1.875 pts/energy. Take uncommons for 2 runs to lvl 10 and you get the same return as 3*'s since the pts are the same for that matter.
Originally based on old points yes was going, based on new points no, not a game changer for account and not worth the grind or exhausting stones etc on her with no 2x, shes staying in the pool so no need to rush to get is a bit dirty with them knowing how many back to back grinds been going on already, fatigue is hitting all time highs
To be fair, i started with 68/16/1 souls, which only got me around 15000 points. After reselling unused souls, i bought enough soulstones to get to 40k, and now i have Freyja.
I was going to go for the deck of fate if summoning as saved for it and have 24 sacreds. Now they nerfed the points from the harder part I think the investment of resources and time just isn’t worth it
TLDR - they have jacked up the requirements both in terms of soulstones and energy, essentially they want to make any guranteed event as hard as possible. I am just going to do what I would have generally done for cvc and maybe put it a little more effort and walk away with whatever I get, the champion is pretty much impossible for me.
Well, i did not listen to CC 3 weeks ago telling us to pull at 2x or whatever shady event it was and now i have soulsstones to spare. Depends what you want in raid. Generally you are better doing the reverse of what the CC's are doing. Do as the priest says, not as the priest does :D
I would have had enough Soulstones to breeze through 40k points. It only netted me 31k. I'm missing 30 fragments for Freyja so now I need to spend the energy to get 9k points at a MUCH lower rate... wtf Plarium is trash for this.
managed to get her f2p, but only after saving souls for like 4 months. 6 eternals and 30 immortals! ridiculously expensive but she's cool enough for it to be worth
I was planning to do it but with the huge point nerf, I've changed my mind. I've gone from spending about $200/month on this game to having spent $20 in the last 6 weeks. Why do they do these things, making it feel bad to play their game?
Its a shame its not x2 on souls... but I will summon anyway in hope for some rewards as I have similar number of them gathered... dunno how much grinding I will do as I am doing the fusion just to sell those frags... I will do with Freya's if the grind is too much
The fact they think a eternal soul stone is almost equal to a sacred points wise is insane , not going to waste my time cause i dont have the energy or brews to compleate it
Was going for it but after wiping out most of my 3 stars brews and energy and got one card flip I was like 😮oh boy this is going to be painful so I stopped. Watched video and fortified what I thought so I think I will stop now before getting to deep into event. Shame was kinda excited but I guess Raid really does not want you to play or enjoy yourself. May even stop on the fusion as well and focus on Watcher of Realms where I actually get awesome rewards not just crap rewards. That means I actually get more value than my spend unlike raid where I give up more! Raid play for Awesome rewards ha 😂
I've been saving soul stones since they announced this event, and I thought stones were a possibility. I have over 240 mortals and a dozen immortals. I can do half of this event...
I think I'm going to just save my sanity and pass due to the ramp up in difficulty. being mid week as well, dont want to bust that much time on training mid week.
would've gone for her if it was either shards or if they didnt nuke the points. but she's not worth putting this amount of time,energy and recources since i doubt i'll ever book her anyway
