ITS TIERLIST TIME!! Steel Division 2 Meta 

I roughly agree with the tier list. But it is quite mindboggling how the famous german divisions are so bad in this game. Meanwhile you have amazing divisions in this game but were historically completely irrelevant and poor on the battlefield such as CIABG, the romanians, etc. I get the balancing act but it got to a point now when it is a bit ridiculous.

There's a bunch of divisions I could quibble with, but this is a great tier list and you justified your decisions well.

Pretty sure Vybor is the one in C and bezugly in in C. Because B in russian is V in latin alphabet.

Nice tier list for the most part, its pretty accurate for most skill levels and QP. If you want to hear my 2 complaints about then I would say you are severely underestimating 5th Geb and it should be in A/S tier. Yes you need to play it vanguard but noob or pro anyone I've suggested it too has had amazing success. On ranked/QP I played about 80 games and only lost 1 against 4th falls on sieldce. Its basically responsible for putting me #1 on the leaderboard. And friends who have tried it and grinded out the ladder have shot up +100 from the division alone. Also beaten stardekk/gonzo/farid etc in tourney format games as well. Basically I'm saying I would take it on any map or matchup and still have confidence that I have a decent shot at winning. My 2nd complaint is that I love 5th SS and 116th, but I cannot understand why you would 116th below 5th SS, they should be on the same tier. You complained that 116th is too expensive but its far cheaper than 5th SS options, but both are good either way.

Großdeutschland is probably A/B considering how much cheap AA you can get and the amount of armored CQC shock infantry armed with STG 44’s means you’re winning every town fight. You’d like to see Panther G’s but the A is nothing to scoff at. Too weak of an air force and not enough armor piercing ability to be high A or S tier.

Nice tierlist, gives a good general idea of strong divs. Obviously a lot comes down to personal experience. I will mention though, that I think you are sleeping on Dody. Imo it's very high A tier at least

As a person that plays either czechs or british paras i like what i see The jump 6th AB did is spectacular and AB paras are my favorite unit

I can't make the 1st Airborne work. Their lack of solid AT, especially anything for 2k, I can't play around. Their AT guns seem to miss and not pen enough.

Nice tier list, i probably i would only change Dody and 1st pancelos to put Them in A, and 715 imo Is S tier. 6th corpul B tier every time i play against this you rush like a mad man in A and It's game over

Could you do unit tier lists? Or are there too many? I think it should be possible if you don't count the clones/doubles with just different flags.

Well of course people will comment. there are so many divisions people will rarely if ever agree fully with a tierlist. Everyone will have differences such as due to their playstyle which affects things subconsciously and also just experience, But the discussion is part of the fun and here are my 2 cents in your comments. VDV and rossel I think you undersell. VDV has 2 cards of great value ranged inf. And with the buff to ppsh 15pts squads are very deadly when they swarm. Rossel is a all in or all out div. It can do lots of scary stuff on maps that arent slutsk. It really is only tanks anr partly at tab that suffers. But it has good ways othwerwise to deal with things. 9th belongs down there more as they have a inftab with 1 amazing cards 2-3 medium cards and the rest is pretty bad. And when you have as shitty an aa tab and not great things going on in many other places it hurts. I agree with baktina 184 but agree with you more than yourself ;) hence why I think they could potentially be even lower. This also applies to 358th. Broania I think is middle, it can do great in right matchups and as long as its not cqc bonanza map they have good outs. I think they are similar to 1st pancerna though that they play very differently to really get their value out of them. Pegasus div just struggles against everything that isnt heavy or a medium armoung of armor. As while they have some decent cheap inf they dont have anything with a punch and lack in inf support. Making them pretty bad at everything that isnt swarming and dealing with heavy tanks. So if opponents main gameplan isnt heavy tanks and they dont hopelessly lose to shitty inf spam pegasus will just suffer. 2nd tank and especially 3rd tank you are underestimating. They have standard soviet inf, decently sized being a panzerdiv as well and then good tanktabs. Especially 3rd tank, ontop of isu152 the best soviet unit in the game. 10th and 2nd tank is very similar and I think should be very close in tiers. I think the points you make here applies to 2nd mostly as well. 28th jäger you should look again at, they have some sturms that got buff that look really juicy now with a great very curve. They ironically suffer in CQC though like you say. 12th SS is another one I agree with you and you should just stick to your guns and put it further down. You mixed up bezylglogo and vyborg sign but easy mistake. I think you should look at vyborg inf again, it is 19th parking level bad and therefore I think they belong roughly in the same tier. Bezyls weakness is like butler, it has some nice stuff but it runs out of the nice stuff and then relies on bad stuff. 1st blindata is just very slightly above average so mostly agree. Then not too much to add, 3rd us armored is maybe somewhat falls under similar category to brionia but better version. 1st pancelos you should listen to yourself. Its completely bonkers. About the same level as 2nd pancelos. 2nd has more varied tools to deal with most things but 1st just does the good stuff better. Making both divisions a nightmare to be against unless you play on the most open of maps. Dody is similar to DFL which I think you ranked right. Some worse AT but just so much better inf and in other areas. Dody is in similar category to the rest of the allied western divs from the expansion. Just crazy. You say other than inf not much there but it is at least at the level of DFL if not better in most areas. Making both on the level that I can see it either in top of A or in S. 11th SS is what you say but that isnt enough to bring it up to the level you put it I think. Feds is my main div and I think you overestimate it. It has some nice tools but was just midtier before the patch and the patch shot them in the knee. They are good at 2k against divs that arent great at it and have a nice but shallow mix of armor. But the inf really struggles now as Strelki DT didnt get any of the new keywords so their molotov only every will kill pgrens in cqc and not much else. It is similar to pegasus but with better mix of armor and different inf tab but has similar weaknesses. I think you havent played tf45 in a while because they still are very strong, from top of A tier/ S tier they might have fallen somewhat due to not getting too many of the new creep but the start was strong enough for it to just keep up. Agree with 715, many think its cremé de la cremé and while good not good enough to really stand amongst the best divs in the game. Agree with the cav divs of romanians but dont think its enough to be as high as it is high in a tier lower. Think 17th SS is slightly overrated. its very good but compared to many of the new things it isnt "broken enough" to be top of the hill. more or less agree on the rest of the S tier. So yeah a longer overview on my thoughts.

I seriously tried to love 20th panzer, but those pz IV and marders just explode every single time something 45mm+ starts to shoot at them, it felt really underwhelming. Had better experience with almost all other German tank divisions, its probably just me, but handful of heavy tanks is great tool to have.

Question, from your experience, what are the divisions that get banned the most? want to try tournaments soon but not sure which divisions to master. want to make sure i don't pick ones that always get banned. I am looking at B tier and A tier.

So, I have a question. Do Arty Leaders act like Infantry Leaders anymore? If they don't, how should one adjust their division to compensate for the change?

in B tier there are many A/A+ tier div, in C there are some that i don't agree but well understandable from a bal player.

One question, why not talking about 6th SA? its not like it has nothing goibg for it. It has decent arty, ok tanks and lot of .50 cals. Not great but there is something to talk about

I mostly only play as the finnish divisions and when on the allied side I play as the new british and US divisions and glad to see them on S tier. Edit: I also sometimes play as the new zealand division

1st special brigade just obliterates any infantry only thing its lacking is counter battery and that debatable because of the centaurs. it's AT on the infantry suck its a coin toss if it hits for me it usually doesn't. it also struggles with 2k as most allied divisions do. only thing that remedies that is airplanes and centaurs.

Kessel maybe not that bad , mid or better in B tier? Branderburger have commando trait

Yeah, this is all in the eye of the beholder. It depends on playstyle, how this list ends up. If more aggressive, or more defensive, the list will look different. I like the 8 cav purtata as well, it has a lot of "stuff" that you can just throw at your enemy. And they're cheap! Where 17th SS also has a lot of varieties, but also more expensive.

It's kind of sad that the things that make the German Divisions bad are the things that were bad historically - demoralised, poorly equipped, shoddily supplied blobs of random units bodged together and held up by barely functional poopenfarters like the Ferdinand - but the things that made the Allied Divisions good are the things that were good historically - mobile, cost-efficient, survivable tanks and trained, homogenous infantry forces with excellenty artillery It's also a joke that all the S tier divisions are meme tier shit like 17th SS
