LMAO!!!!!! I love this video feed. After he'd made that statement, I couldn't hear anything else for laughing, had re-play the video to get the full review.
I personally think its awesome that CIGA got the first Chinese GPHG with this watch and I'm glad to see non-Swiss and especially affordable brands get them. What I would LOVE to see them do now is make it a bit smaller so more people like me can wear it comfortably. BTW this song was in Die Hard. I never forget a score.
I have a firend that melted down four inches of gold leaf. Into a pile shape. He tested it and was having trouble with the acid test. So he took it in to have it tested and it came back as not gold. Copper, zink and something else
I’m so dumb; when I first saw the title of this video I thought YOU had 68 hours to make that dial and I was like this is gonna be a wild banger of an episode!! Haha great vid
"You either hate it or don't like it." That makes sense, and New Zealand should be in the very centre. We're often ignored. Peace and blessing to you too, my brother.
You are exactly right on your time observation. I tell young people when people are on their deathbed. They all want the same thing. It’s not another real estate deal. It’s not a fine dining experience, or a hot stock tip. Millionaires or poor people all just ask for more time. Use it wisely. Don’t ever let anybody waste your time. Make memories with the time that you have. Love your channel thank you so much! I admire your skill sets and bringing old watches back to life. Chris in Miami.
Joe, that is an incredible looking timepiece. Personally I watch you to see your skills and now you show me that you’re also a wordsmith as well. Brilliant job. Nothing but respect. You forgot to do a funny song for us though…😂
When the conversation started by the CIGA comes to an end, I would retreat to a quiet corner of the room, slip it into my pocket and revert back to my Apple watch.
Hmm, well 'the value of time' to me means a watch that could save my life: Breitling Emergency and for travel, a Rolex GMT Master II. The Breitling twice saved my life and my old "Rolly" has stood up to everyday punishment when I'm not working. But that thing which is described as a 'Fabergé hockey puck' would find itself whistling straight to the bin. _Am not a fan_ , for no matter how much 24ct gold leaf was applied, I'll bet my cheapest Casio would be more accurate. Otherwise another delightful video. I love your remarks, but most of all your excellent watchmaking skills. All the very best from Wendi UK 🌻
@@NekkidWatchmaker Very expensive is their 'emergency', but I'm a navy trained chopper pilot _and_ a trauma surgeon with an air ambulance charity, and there is no price to life. Thank you so much for replying. May you travel well and be safe! ~Wendi 🌻
I like the watch and I find the method of telling time with it common sense. It’s big, that’s true, but not too big. I know it wouldn’t be for everyone, but I’ve always liked statement pieces.❤️🤗🐝
Guess it’s a bit out of time cause the dome is gone soon! But maybe for the one or other’s probably a nice reminder of old freeking times under the dome. 😅😊😂
Toasted crumpet, buttered with 5 drops of Lee and Perrin’s arranged 2,4,7,11 and centre. Slather on the marmite…heaven on earth! Even though we clearly disagree about the brown stuff, I enjoyed your excellent review;)
Joe, I REALLY liked the original silver/blue version…until I saw this gold/black version!🥰🤤 I like a watch with a point of difference as much as I like the mainstream look/looks. It’s a stunning watch up close no doubt. Nice delivery & review as always mate!👏🏼👍🏼😎🇦🇺
This is really such a one-day gadget. Super cool to let a whole room full of people be amazed at what you have on your wrist. But it is indeed nothing more than a hideous 'Fabrege hockey puck' as you call it. It has a very high carnival grabbing machine content.
I guess its each to their own. I think I prefer the black and gold design. After all black and gold is a classic mix of colours. This said its a bit too chunky for me but no doubt it will be a conversation starter at the dinner party.
I know wristwatches are more jewelry nowadays than timepiece, but an overly-styled piece like this goes a bit further in that direction than I'm comfortable with. I prefer a wristwatch that looks like a wristwatch. :)
Not a watch I would wear myself, but that's not the point. Design is more about exploring new methods and looks. Kudos to Ciga for breaking new ground in design and having a philosophy that brings attention to what is most precious - the Earth, and, of course, time. And, thanks to the Nekkid Watchmaker for bringing us fascinating videos and a little bit of his own philosophy.
i think its a nice looking watch and beinf ceramic instead of metal is a big plus for me as i have a metal allergy, tho 1800 is to steep for me being disabled
I think I need hands. Or at least the western hemisphere on it. Yes it is a statement piece but I am not sure I would invest in one despite that delightful, informative and entertaining review.
My friend…. Background in industrial/aerospace ceramic. It’s great but it’s just another media for artists to work with. Has its benefits and detractions. What you’re providing is art on top of art! You know it. All art should be an inlet to the soul. YOU! Through your efforts are facilitating this. Go ahead, be humble, but you’re running on a wavelength of human understanding far exceeding the subject of your videos. I know it and others do too. Thank you for your service to humanity.
My valuable time is best spent here watching your videos while I stitch. I like the watch. It's striking and not the mundane run of the mill copy of a Rolex.
Nice one, Joe! Man, these things are weird! I'm not sure I could get used to telling the time this way, but they sure do look fancy! I enjoyed the "Marmite" comment, but (although I never thought I'd say this) I kind of missed the usual approach with your trademark "all-singing, all-dancing routine"!😱😱! I usually make disparaging comments about your singing, but I guess, as Joni Mitchell would say, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone"! I also missed you actually taking a watch apart and putting it back together. I know that's probably mundane to you, given how many times you've stripped watches down, but I find it fascinating in an almost *Zen-like" way! I find myself kind of hypnotised by your voice and watching you work! 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Keep them coming, Sir! I look forward to the next one where hopefully we'll have "Trouble" around! 😄🇬🇧
Thanks Phil. I was under a time deadline for the companies release date so had to play it safe. Also if I’m ever going to make it as a wrist model for a top brand, I need to show them that I can be serious too. Lol.
I like both of the watches that you have reviewed, both look elegant on your wrist, and they would look good on mine as well. Have you reviewed any Invicta watches as yet?
A very serious review with that classical music in the background, i was waiting Jungle is massive " Incredible by MBeat and Ali G to drop in. But on a,serious note Black and gold certainly looks better. 👌
Oh dear, in the words of John Travolta in Grease “what a hunk of junk” nope, wouldn’t even use it as a paper weight. Let’s get back to screws, oil, buffing. Cheers, keep well 👍

Every inch of time is as precious as gold. Throughout history, gold has been the carrier of civilization and value. It has undergone extensive tempering to obtain this brilliance and texture, just like the value and meaning that time gives to life. Use the Blue Planet Gilding Version to convey how time has baptized life, making it more precious. Life is short, so how to create our own value in a limited time? When you raise your wrist, what you see is not only the time but also the value of life condensed into time.
Great video. Really nice case, strap and movement but bad gimmicky design. No way it takes 60 hours to do the dial unless it is a Squid Game where they are blindfolded and have to start again when they make a mistake. Also for nearly 2 grand you should be able to choose western hemisphere. Thanks for sharing. 👍
It is a gorgeous watch Joe, but like the other one, I still don't know how one tells the time with it. $1899? I think I'd rather keep my Pulsar Solar that I can easily tell the time and date and buy 2 airline tickets and go to England on a holiday with my wife. Cheers to you and yours Joe.
I enjoyed your presentation no end and Trouble is a great model. Erm ... let's say I'm probably not a target for their marketing. Tara a bit and see you soon.
It's definitely an interesting piece... but I would rather my expensive watch had an easy-to-read time dial. Just saying...I would use the watch as a watch.
Well that was very professional ish 😮 Joe. Not for me, I have neither the time or money, but I make the time for your presentations. Be well - peace ☮️
