I would love to buy this as a children’s book and read it to my small impressionable child so she may grow up one day sailing dogs across small bodies of water with her drunken father
mummy joe videos have this weird ability to make me cry while also literally just being about a captain who sails dogs around like an uber meeting a dog who wants to sail along with him
A DETAIL I LOVE ABOUT THIS IS HOW THERE IS ONE GIRAFFE IN THE ZOO AT THE START AND TWO GIRAFFES AT THE END TO SYMBOLIZE ITSY BEE JOINING THE ROYAL FLEA
had an incredibly rough day full of chronic pain and emotional turmoil. got home, laid down, and this was the first thing youtube suggested. I needed this
Matthew 11:28-30 NIV “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Praying for the health of those who are suffering...❤
An ode to Itsy Bee, who sails 'board The Royal Flea, and Mummy Joe for now I know what art is s'posed ta be: Not just brooding tunes nor cryptic runes to fill bottles in the sea, But a lovely dance that just by chance can shed a tear of glee; A celebration of all this life that through all strife you can see- An ode to Itsy Bee, who sails 'board The Royal Flea.
Me name is Cap'n Bitters, And me sails 'the royal flea, Sailin' dogs from where they live To where they'd like to be Me sails 'em to volcanos Me sails 'em to the zoo- And then me sails 'em home again Before their supper's due One day me picked a mangy mutt Down by the bloomin' coast, Her name was Itsy Bee And she weighed less then a oat Me asked her where she'd like to go Aboard 'the royal flea, She said "All I'd like to do is sail the open seas!" Me taught her how to feel the wind And how the tides behaved And how to jive and come about And give the gulls a wave She grew her sea legs quick And had a swagger can't be bought And twasn't long 'fore Itsy Bee Could tie a bowline knot. Me gave a sight and saw the sun Was sinkin' awful low... We sailed into the little cove That Itsy Bee called home She gave a wee farewell, And layed off with her head hung low Me knew'd for sure that Itsy Bee Was sad she had to go. As me hauled the anchor, Me chanced look back once more- And what me saw was somethin' That no cap'n could ignore... For Itsy Bee was livin' In an itsy bitsy hovel And her mother was a buoy, And her dad a washed-up bottle Me felt a line was tuggin' On me rotten capn's heart Me yelled her name with all me might- And gave her quite the start If ye'd like to keep on sailin' Why the fleas got room for you! And bring your crusty mother, And your drunken father too! Me name is Cap'n Bitters, Her name is Itsy Bee And we sail dogs from where they live To where they'd like to be We sails 'em to volcanos We sails 'em to the zoo- And then we sails 'em home again Before their supper's due
You need to write a children’s book. This is genuinely one of your best videos yet. It’s so sweet and wholesome and refreshing. PLEASE look into making a book
i think this might be the best video on the internetz the animation, the rhyming, the colors, the message, the way it goes from him being alone to them both, the art style, the voice acting, the way it sounds and the way it feels is all to perfect. you’re far too underrated, man
@@ammaralrai7022 yeah, but this is stuff i see people with millions of subs make. i don’t like saying underrated that much but his content has genuinely helped me through awful times
This is a crazy story about finding a companion one relates to and helping them out of a dire situation. He was a lonely and bitter drifter; until he finds a smol sick dog that just wants to travel. He shows the dog the ropes and teaches her how to do it. Before he skips this town he realizes that the dogs kindness will probably make it so they can never truly leave with a crusty buoy for a mother that barely keeps the house afloat; and a washed up drunken father. He comes to the realization that itzy bee will more than likely end up just like him lonely and bitter. He decided to save her from this fate by giving her a way to live her dream; and in time relieving his loneliness at the same time.
mummy Joe I just want you to know that I wrote this whole thing down on a page in my old compass book, your tale of cap’n bitters and the seadog itsy bee is forever in my logs
I literally did the same thing right before I read this comment! I wrote it in one of my writing journals, so it'll always be there for inspiration as I write my magnum opus!
this is the sort of talent that has Mother Goose beloved by generations and generations. you seriously have such a way with words, stories, and visual art.
I HAVE WATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES AND IT BRINGS ME TO TEARS EACH TIME HOW IS THIS SO WHOLESOME?? I LOVE ITSY BEE SO MUCH I ACTUALLY MADE A PLAYLIST FOR JUST THE VIDEOS FROM YOUR CHANNEL :’)
I greatly appreciate the genuine understanding of sailing and the royal flea is such a charming little gaff rig. Always makes my little sailing heart glow when I find smth like this (:
this is technically a poem (has rythm and has a storyline) with a framing device (the story about bringing dogs from where they are to where theyd like to be)
I don't know what it is about this childrens rhyme but it actually makes me emotional enough to get teary eyes, you've outdone yourself Joe, thank you for this
honestly as an animator and artist who watches alot of content where the story is sad and depressing and has angst this was a HUGGEEE breath of fresh air
This is just really cute, and I dunno what else to say. I just really like this, and I'm glad I found a channel that makes simple and adorable little storybook like videos like this. :)
I love this poem and it's music and illustrations accompaniment. it brings happy tears to my eyes every time. it's definitely one of my favorite poems ever. it's so sweet and adorable, and it melts your heart away.
