I agree that Euro 2016 was great when you consider the underdog stories of Wales and Iceland, but the standard of football was probably the worst at a tournament since Italia 90
@@rohithraman6488 The standard of football during the 2015/16 Premier League season was also poor. Like Euro 2016, it also had an underdog story. Definitely a dip in quality in that period.
@@danieljackson2322 I understand what you're saying but I was referring to the quality of the games. Just like Italia 90 there were some great individual moments but many of the games were boring dross
I think they've always been close actually. If ITV win, it's not by miles because the BBC have produced really good intros too. Euro 2020 however has been totally different kettle because ITV have produced their worst to a tournament since 2006. It's so bad the BBC have won by default.
Both the BBC and ITV deserve a lot of credit for the work that goes into these intros for such competitions. In 2016 the UEFA European Championships were obviously held in France. BBC and ITV clearly had very different intros to their coverage of each game but each in their own right were very good to see.👏🤝👍
Were the two players in green on skis behind Gareth Bale actually based on anyone? I'd have thought one of them would have been Steven Davies but he looks nothing like him
Funny the way ITV ditched Rooney in front of the Eiffel tower after being dumped out by Iceland. England generally clueless in International football. Fluked their way to a Semi in Russia but more PAIN on the cards next year for southgate and co.
@DuderinoDeux Well now england are sick and will do much better then the other teams. You're saying they fluked their way into the semi final when Germany got knocked out in the group stage by Korea, Spain got knocked out by Russia and Italy didnt even qualify. So I dont really see the shame in that
@@DuderinoDeux well is that englands fault that they played shit teams. Panama are shit which is why they smoked them 6 1. Like I said Germany, Spain, Argentina lost to the shit teams yet you're not talking about them which screams hatred. You're probably a salty German that's why you're hating
@@pavannair6469 England have done SFA in International Football since 1970 bar a match v Holland in '96. Very lucky to reach a semi that year as were outplayed by Spain. In 1990 they stumbled to a Semi Final. Cameroon were better. Been pretty much all set piece stuff and long ball like that over rated club side in England that largely play the same way albeit with foreigners today managed by herr klop.
@@DuderinoDeux #footballcasual yeah you're clearly American. Stick to NFL coz that's the only "football" you know. Like I said Spain, Germany, Argentina lost to the shit teams in the world cup yet you dont address that. You're now referring to the things that happend 30 years ago for whatever reason. If that's the case what about 1966? If any football expert saw your comment they will laugh at you and with that logic you have no right to watch this sport.
