Yes, D.O. is a serious actor. Korean directors/producers said that D.O. is not an idol actor but an actor's actor. That's how good he is at acting. He has won a lot of acting awards.
Seniors in K Entertainment always address him as a humble, lovely but a solid personality. He is a quiet discipline man, yes. He mentioned it in interviews that he is strict towards himself. For whatever critism that need improvement, he mentioned, all EXO members are open about it. They can take criticism well. The manager said how he worried about D.O. juggling 2 careers at the same time even during his peak time as an idol. There's a lot of idol actor but active with both balancely, hard to find. Mostly will slowdown one for another. Some even choose only one. Give up acting or leaving the group. For the seniors watching him juggling his time back and forth between idol activities especially concerts and film/drama shooting..really amazing. Its not really about how great his doing even though he IS doing great .. but what catch people in the industry attention is his personality and attitude.. discipline. So basically you kinda right about his quiet discipline. He said it many time he is the type that will do his things quietly. He is friendly but doesn't like the flash. As a fan, i like even more when i read his interviews. He is simple, not trying too hard to appear somewhat intelligent or artsy or too special as an artist but he is a master of his own artistry.
D.O is my exo bias and yes he is a pretty well known actor. He's been in shows like 100 Days My Prince and Bad Prosecutor. He's also done movies like Swing Kids, Along with the Gods and his most recent one The Moon.
Yess, actually iu and DO are two of the most critically acclaimed idol - actors. DO has quite many acting projects already, I think clearly more than iu.
@@Killdeer25 I think IU has more credits because she was a child actor (and the experience shows, she's a brilliant actor), but D.O started within a year of debut and almost right off the bat jumped into small but gritty roles in hard hitting dramas and films rather than the typical fluffy romances that idols do (although he's done a few of those too). He also has a second (third?) family of actors that he is as close knit with as his EXO members. A lot of them are older and influential actors that he starred with in his first roles and they mentored him and supported him in his career. He's also worked with some directors on several projects. Kyungsoo's network of people who love and support him runs deep in Korea's entertainment business. Proof that he is not only amazingly talented and hardworking but he's also just a really decent human being that everyone is rooting for.

Like I said in another comment, Kyungsoo is bias wrecking the entirety of kpop for me this comeback. He's always special to me because if I hadn't seen his acting, I would never have got into kpop. But where he's at with his acting, this album and his new company, I think he is poised to be one of the greatest artists of his generation. In his 20s he was so driven being in one of the biggest kpop groups and establishing himself in his acting so that now he has an extremely respected career in both fields. Now with his own company he can take all that talent and reputation and good will and have the creative freedom to do whatever he wants. I can't wait to see what he does.
I first started out as a Baekhyun guy, then it was Chen because of Last Scene. the Kyunhsoo came in with his last release album and it was a done deal for me, I love his new company as a reactor, his channel has already treated me better than just about every other one
@@Killdeer25 Baekhyun's still my ult bias but I will always love Kyungsoo for being the one that brought me to EXO and kpop. I would be in a much darker place in my life if I hadn't found them. Kyungsoo just seems so happy and confident with his new company, whereas Baekhyun seems a lot more worried that he needs to impress everyone. Chen and Xiumin both seem more happy and confident in Baekhyun's company than he is. But I guess he has more pressure because it's his name on the line. Also in typical crappy kpop fan style, Baekhyun has had a lot of hate thrown at him for leaving SM and threatening EXO's future whereas no one seems to think anything bad of Kyungsoo for leaving. Which is so unfair to Baekhyun. Neither of them have wrecked EXO. SM lost them, that's their problem. I think Kyungsoo and his manager had a plan to leave and start their own company for a long time. Whereas CBX seems to have left more abruptly because SM wasn't being forthcoming about their contracts and their past earnings so they are kind of making it up as they go. I think they will do well, mainly because of how relaxed Xiumin and Chen are. Hopefully Baekhyun will gain his confidence when they have some successes under their belts. I want to see him confident and happy like Kyungsoo, Xiumin and Chen are.

That clip of IU recommended Thats Okay was a door for me to know Kyungsoo as a singer and Thats Okay is THAT song that broke my wall of KPOP idol, and since then Kyungsoo become my ult bias not only in EXO but in music world. His vocal tone and his songs always touch me, and i really love his personality a lot. He is a simple person and humble, effortlessly cute adorable and funny. Thank You so much to IU for introduced me to Kyungsoo as a singer ❤ Oh and yess he is an actor and one of Trusted actor in the industry. Oh so you became an exol when Kyungsoo was enlisted? Right?..his enlistment was such a surprise back then bec he enlisted 4 years earlier. He is my bias too but I saw him 1st in a kdrama...he was a psycho and I was actually scared of him 😅 when I learned that he was just a new actor I was impressed so I looked him up. @@CheG1224 yup, i heard Thats Okay on May 2020, i've already watched his movie swing kid, and his drama pure love and 100 DMP before, i knew he is a member of EXO but i never interested in idol group backthen and i never heard EXO song before. I can say that i really didn't like idolgroup musics before, they sound too noisy for me I only like OST of drama and movies i've watched. But i like CNBlue music, some of IU and AKMU songs especially their ballad one. For me they are unique. But Kyungsoo and EXO broke that wall for me and i became a fangirl for the 1st time in my life. But i think only them that can enter my wall.. i've tried to listen to other bg/gg from 1st - 5th gen but still none of their song can make me stan them at least until now. May be i like 1-2 of their song. But don't get me wrong, It doesnt mean their music or their vocal is not good but it just my personal preferencess.. it maybe just my ears that are very used to EXO sounds 😅

The Eve was the 1st dance practice I checked 😂 just bec it has the most views and I found out why 😂. I checked out EXO songs saying I will download just the ones I like. But I ended up downloading all their albums then 😂 Tempo was my 1st CB and damn I was fangirling! 😂 By this time I have been wrecked by ALL the other members but Kyungsoo keeps letting me know that I am his.. hehe 😁❤️ I do appreciate other groups but like you never had the interest and time to stan them. Yes, I had already watched it. But watching along with you is always fun! Then they went from 'I Do' to 'Love Wins All', and your " Oh No!" was the same as mine. It was so sudden from an upbeat song but man they killed it together! Such a great collab! And side note, the freaking Cello had me in all my feals. My favorite instrument, above piano, guitar, violin, you name it. You break out a Cello and I'm all goosebumps💛

Watched this episode the 2nd time with you lol. D.O. has such good songs. I hope more kpop artist release songs like these. Songs that will get you emotionally happy and sad. It's just too much banger and intentionally cool songs in the market that it's getting tiring. But maybe it's just for us, who are kinda in the older generation. lmaooo. D.O. and QWER recently just crashed my IU exclusive playlist lmaooo. Speaking of QWER, I'm still waiting and checking your channel from time to time.
