I could listen to her speak all day. Her voice is soft, but she is very poised, professional, and eloquent. I think she will be an incredible role model.

I'm not a fan of the Trumps but Ivanka is definitely the most likeable. Amazingly well-spoken and not insulting people left and right. If Donald Trump took an example from her he wouldn't have been shredded by the media like he is now for his controversial statements.
Trump purposely used controversy to fuel his movement and get over 2 billion dollars in free coverage, he played them at every turn. Trump is a fairly intelligent man who has been in the public spotlight for 30 years and has used controversy in the past to fuel business and launch him forth, he knows the game better than anyone in the media because he's played it longer than some have been alive. This isn't to say he was fake in his statements, his key issues are something he has talked about since the 80's, he exaggerates and he purposely makes some outlandish statements to get the media to explode over him while never going into something truly damaging to his movement. A great example of his manipulation of the media is when he announced a speech about the birther movement, Trump then just gave a massive show of 20 minutes of veterans endorsing him followed with a 2-minute statement on how Hillary started it back when she campaigned against Obama for the nomination and he finished it. At his heart, Trump's brand of comedy is trolling, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the media, he basically got the media to flaunt its bias to the world. Trump didn't get to where he is by being an idiot and Ivanka didn't just magically become intelligent, part of that is her extremely high education but part of that is also Donald Trump.

Ivanka's is incredibly intelligent, but I suspect a highly dangerous woman if you cross her. You can clearly see the deep machinations in that brain of hers when she talks. It's hard to tell who she truly is from these few interviews, but it's clear that she's extremely well trained in portraying herself publicly. My family's far from being billionaires but my parents are both physicians and if I didn't want to work a 12-hour day or have goals of my own I probably wouldn't have to, so your statement's irrelevant because I still believe in working hard for what I want in life. Newsflash, Donald went to UPenn as well and there's this thing called legacy (especially for families with lots of $$$) that pretty much guaranteed her in and would have gotten her through all her classes. Maybe I worded this incorrectly - I'm not saying she doesn't work hard NOW to support her company and family (however, she has lots and lots of help to do both - she surely isn't doing all of it alone). But the point I was trying to make was that me and Ivanka are not on the same pedestal to compare accomplishments - She was born 1,000 levels above me because of her money and status. So yes, the unfortunate truth is I probably won't reach a fraction of what Ivanka has accomplished, not because I don't work my ass off every single day, but because she was born luckier than I was. She never had to work to reach that initial level of accomplishment. Maybe she has to work to maintain it now, but she didn't have to struggle getting there. Does that make sense?
Sure, coming from an educated family places you in an environment to be successful, and maybe I am being hypocritical. But my parents are immigrants, so I never received the "benefits" of having a well-off family that Ivanka did. No college legacy, I wasn't ever "handed" money (I was still taught I had to work for it because I watched how hard my parents worked), I wasn't handed a family business, etc. I understand what you're saying, but again refer to my earlier comment. She does have to work to maintain her businesses now, but she receives a lot of help doing so (AKA she didn't build it from the ground up) and she never really had to struggle with the start up, which is often one of the most difficult parts. Again, I do respect her as a person, it's hard to be this normal and put-together in the family she comes from. But I don't necessarily believe her accomplishments say as much about her as they do somebody who started a business from the ground up. That's the only point I was trying to make, and then the conversation strayed off-topic.
