The first time I listened to this song was around 2 years ago. What really made me like the song the first time I listened to it was its melody. Didn't really mind the lyrics that much at that time as I couldn't really relate to it back then. Now, I'm in my last year of high school, and we just got back to a face to face modality of learning from 2 years of online classes. Back in online class, I really didn't pay attention to any of my classmates (especially the transferees). However when we got back to face to face, I was immediately drawn to this one particular girl. However, just 2 months in, she transferred to a far away school because of some complications. I managed to tell her that I liked her. She said she couldn't give an answer yet because she was focusing on said complications first. When she left, I cried knowing that the classroom won't be the same without her. When I listened to the song again, the lyrics suddenly made more sense now that I can relate to it. Out of all the crushes that I've had in my entire high school life, she was the only one who made me feel this emotions (especially the crying part. Even I didn't expect that I would cry just because of this). That was when I realized that this wasn't just a mere "I like her" scenario. I was in love with her. So that is why I'm going to wait even though she's far away now and no matter how futile it is.
