They used kitsch because the haters called them talentless and so for the use of kitsch because of their own style they use in their MVs. You can’t even deny they are the most unique K-pop girl group.

A lot of ppl hate this song but I loved it. I feel like the hate IVE gets is sooooo unnecessary. And btw Kitsch is an early 20th-century word borrowed from the German language and it refers to things in the realm of popular culture that are artistically tacky, like car mirror dice, plastic flamingos, and dashboard hula dancers. The significance here is that these items, styles, trends, or garnishes are usually praised in ironic, weird, sentimental, and even appreciative ways. Almost like a tacky art that holds much value.

i feel like this song has to grow on me even more, don’t get me wrong i absolutely loved this song because of how different it was to their other songs! and yesss rei looks amazing with pink hair, i feel like this is definitely gonna be her era😭 a little fun fact, rei and gaeul were credited for the rap making for kitsch !!

For those in the dark, kitsch is a 19th century German word for cheap art form that nouveau riche would buy to pretend they're classy. The whole lyrics basically is a clapback to the haters, "it's okay if you think poorly about me, I will enjoy myself in this cheap life". Ctto Got that explanation from another yt channel I also think one part of the song is for their haters who criticize them for winning song of the year award (love dive). The pre chorus 'everyone copies the way i dance. pop up on your algorithm everyday! Other idols and netizens do their dance on tikotok and other platform it went really viral especially the narcissistic part. Then wonie or yujin said 'cant control how high it goes its a crazy score. No one can expect this nineteens kitsch. Like their saying why are you doubting us the score and how the song went viral tells it all.

the "kitsch kitsch kitsch" is stuck on my head

this is my opinion, and i'm not sure if it's gonna happen or not. So far in IVE's music-thingy they've done one concept. And thats like love/heaven, then they had a switch up called ' After Like ' which was last year. THEN we got this, completely opposite of their old concepts. What I think they might do is every 2 songs, and a couple of b-sides, they might switch their concept. They could be like Red Velvet, yet they know what would go viral. (Not saying RV's music doesn't go viral, I love their music). IVE could go really far, but I feel like they shouldve stuck with the royal concept.

The song is catchy as hell..love the prechorus/buildup

This song is about criticism and hates that everybody receives even they're not deserve to have for they just living their life what they want. Esp. like Wonyoung whos always criticize in everything. This song wants to trash those kinds of things. Its a PRE RELEASE song included in a full album, but the title track is soon to come.. 😁
