A LHD Iveco in GB (i think), respect ! Definitely not easy to drive. Something refreshingly different than the eternal "King of the Road" hype about a Swedish brand. Indeed. No feel whatsoever to modern trucks thanks to automated transmissions, and they are strangulated further by Emissions Tax. Sorry, I meant AdBlue and all that shit....... I drive a 2016 MAN TGX 440 with Euro 6 regs and that fucking horrible ZF Clumsytronic gearbox. Compared to this old Turbostar, it's performance is pathetic!
If you take a trip in Italy, you will find tons of these beasts like yours. We also organize truck meetings, and when truckers attend to them, circa 70% of them are Iveco owners, with various models (TurboStar, EuroStar, Stralis, etc.). I don't know if you do this stuff in UK too. But I guess it would be nice for you.
yes there are meetings here,not many turbostar though,when this lorry is finished i intend to drive it home to italy and show it off one day,i've done most of the work but i have moved to scotland and my new workshop in not yet built so maybe 2019 hopefully.
they were very successful in their day but erf,foden and seddon atkinson were bought by foreign companies and asset stripped then closed down,why buy them in the first place really,as for bedford and ford(before iveco merger),they didnt really try hard enough to offer a decent product in later years in my opinion and just faded away
this is a zf box,the clutch has a problem in that it dosnt return as smooth as it should and as for a fuller box perhaps see one my other videos ''scammell crusader with fuller rto 915''.

è stato solo un po 'divertente, avevo appena montato nuovi iniettori perché fumava molto e non suonava bene, questa è stata la prima corsa in assoluto, solo circa 3 km e nessun accesso a un rimorchio
Sono abituato a un cambio più pieno con guida a destra, questa era la prima volta che guidavo per qualsiasi distanza e molti anni da quando guidavo una guida a sinistra, l'idraulica della frizione è difettosa e il leveraggio del cambio era molto rigido a causa alla mancanza di utilizzo quindi.
