This deck shows how toxic we are as players, trying to kill our opponents with poison damage instead of regular damage. But wait, you say, you can kill your opponents with regular damage too because toxic does both! With Ixhel as our commander, we are able to poison our opponents while stealing their stuff. There’s nothing better than making our opponents double salty, using their stuff against them while their poison counters tick up. Let's see how toxic we can become.

In one of my games, on Ixhel I had: - Grafted Exoskeleton (+2/+2) infect - Snake Cult Initiation (Aura) - Poisonous 3 so Ixhel's toxic 2 + infect 4 + Poisonous 3 = 9 poison counters per swing. 😅

I tried yesterday having grafted exo + nocrogen communion so its toxic 4 + infect and hit a friend with invigorate, that was a nasty one shot

Tainted Strike and Infectious Bite are 2 great ways to spread counters at instant speed. Infectious Bite has "gravy" text of dealing damage to any other creature (might work with creatures with Infect and/or Deathtouch) but the most important part is the second one, which reads "Each opponent gets a poison counter". Tainted Strike on the other hand, aside from obvious use on opponents creatures to let them do the work for us (and maybe one-shot someone with poison damage), can greatly help our creatures with Toxic because now power gets +1 bonus AND converts into poison counters IN ADDITION to those given by Toxic X mechanic. Another thing I've observed is that recent creatures with Toxic 1-2 (especially in green) have huge power, like 4+, which in my opinion further justifies inclusion of T-Strike in this build. Heck, even Ixhel would appericiate that bonus, dealing total of 5 poison (Toxic 2 + Infect with 3 power), letting her immediately turn on her Corrupted ability.

Nice deck! Super keen to put something like this together. Assumed you left out venerated rotpriest because it's kind of a dead card in the deck? Was wondering how you might upgrade the deck on more of a high budget? :)

Yeah, Rotpriest isn’t really good in the deck. It’s better in the infect mutate deck. I would upgrade with more fast mana and reserved list cards like Hatred.
