yeah...Izzy was by far the coolest and, in my humble opinion, the most talented, musically, lyrically, and creatively. i also think Izzy is truly the unsung hero of GnR.
Agreed. Izzy's trying to sound like JT, and obviously, JT did a cover of this on LAMF. I always thought Izzy was a blend of Andy McCoy, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Johnny Thunders and Joe Perry. Which is pretty much why he's one of my favorites.
oh, my gosh. totally. i have always thought of those same guys. always mccoy, richards, thunders, perry, and the person below who mentioned dylan - him too. then i later felt wood as well. i think because keef would sing with mick sometimes reminds me of axl and izzy a little too. and he has that ronnie wood mojo going, but in a lot of ways he reminds me of keef. i just can't believe you mentioned perry cause i thought i was the only one who saw or felt that. i think that when izzy and axl got to play with the stones it might have been the highlight of izzy's career. i loved how when they asked what song they wanted to do with them, izzy and axl chose salt of the earth. it kind of blew their mind that they wanted to do that one. they said they didn't remember it, lol. and izzy was like, what? you don't remember your own song? you're kidding. so, they had to play it for them and go over it in the trailer and izzy said he thought it was just the most wild or surreal thing playing the stones their song for them to refresh their memory. and then they went out and all killed it.
Hmm ... that could be it, but I think it is a non-album single released by Izzy only available online. There were times when fans wanted to buy songs of his and requested him put them online for purchase that he didn't even want to, lol. It's not like he needs the money. But he did it for them. Yeah, it is definitely them. I added this song to Genius.
You broke my heart, Cause i couldn't dance. You didn't even want me around, And now i'm back, to let you know, I can really shake them down. Oh..do you love me? Ah..do you love me? Ah..do you love me? Oh..do you love me? Now that i can dance Watch me now, hey! work, work Oh, work it all baby, work, work Well, you're driving me crazy, work, work With a little bit of soul now, work I can mash-potato, And i can do the twist, Now tell me baby, Do you like it like this? Tell me tell me Tell me. Oh..do you love me? (do you love me?) Ah..do you love me? (do you love me?) Ah..do you love me? (do you love me?) Oh..do you love me? Now that i can dance
@strummer77clash I'd say he's more of a Johnny Thunders copy. Again, not that that's bad. Love Izzy, and he sounds a lot like I'd imagine a sober Johnny Thunders would have sounded.
Eres tan sexi Izzy....el que mejornse vestia en Guns...las mejores letras aportaste...te extrañe cuando dejaste Guns...sin embargo..en tus letras se demuestra de lo q estas hecho...y si...I love you Izzy....
@RideMyBMW he does some songs on slashs new solo album too, i'm not sure if he's clean now or not he was on celebrity rehab and drugs really fucked him up. His groove is definitely still in him
