This guy is literally a f***ing genious and he just spent a whole hour proving it. LIVE. ALONE. Hats off ! Everything really was impressive, exquisite. BRAVO, keep up the tremendous work !

Finland actually did something similar one year, they had one artist (Saara Aalto) produce three different songs, but the final choice was made internally by the broadcasting company.
They should ask This band to Perform live at the eurovision as an interval act! All these things are great, and they never got their real moment due to COVID, it would only be fair
@@ThornyRoseV as a Dane myself it's mindblowing for me that you guys haft to learn Danish... I mean Icelandic is 10000 more beautiful then Danish... But Faroese is my number one favorite ;)
I've waited years for proper synth-heads to compete inEurovision. Three years ago I thought "here we go", but it didn't happen. Now - eventually, in 2020, we have real synth going to Eurovision. Well ... we all know what happened. #gutted
Let´s hope and pray that RUV will let him be the only contestant next year in ICELAND with some songs, that the Icelandic nation can pick? Daði has said that he will not compete again in SÖNGVAKEPPNINN the Icelandic preliminary competition but He is willing to perform at Eurovision next year, there is not a problem that does not have a answer.
@@heijack77 Yeah I think that has a lot to do with him actually living and working in Berlin, and not wanting to have to go to Iceland to compete and maybe advance and maybe not.
Einar Friðgeirs I mean no it’s just unfair to have to compete again next year. It takes a toll on you having to compete again. He’d no doubt win again because we all love him but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s very draining on so many levels
This guy an awkward gentle giant lol love this energy man, wish I understood the language to jam to all his songs to the fullest. Think about things is on replay.
As a dane watching this, I just had to listen to him singing "Fly on the wings of love" - translated to "smuk som et stjerneskud". Your danish is very impressive.
@@eratis The thing you don't understand is is that they're celebrities across Eastern Europe. They can easily rack up votes from televoters because of their influence there.
Yes this is a real fun show, seriously entertaining, but let's not forget and realize that it is so entertaining because Dadi is simply very very talented. HUGE respect. Thank you so much.
This is fucking genius!!! I’m in the US and don’t even know why and how I got started looking for Eurovision stuff and landed here. Hours of watching RU-vid videos trying to figure out how to start streaming the contest in the US and now I’m thinking, is this dude on Apple Music? So much fun!! And what an awesome bunch of humans with this group
Props to the camera operator 📹 and his great job, and to Daði for making sure he organized (that) one. :) Never seen an "active" camera (not to mention with so smooth and fitting "zooms and turns") in any of musician's livestreamings.

@@tomjoad1363 Wow, I didn't insult you, I just said you were acting very toxic. I guess you're the one insulting me. But I don't care, I just don't like people complaining about everything they can, instead of being thankful.
The Nordics always take electronic music to another level, and the rest of us have to follow...us Irish have our own ability to take the lead too, we're more poetic and good with air instruments...the Nordics sound like a snow storm or winter's tale.. beautiful all the same 👍
So refreshingly genuine. Especially for me, watching as a synth nerd and genre fan. Keep it up, you inspire this middle-aged, overweight and mostly forgotten northern Swedish musician and songwriter. Much appreciated, and great talent as well. Take care of the family, and yourself!
I think the reason so many people resonated with this song (myself included) is how raw, authentic, and sincere is sounds/looks. You can see that Daði Freyr was nervous at the beginning, not really enjoying the moment. But then with music, you start to see smiles, joy, happiness. I think this song signifies pure, unadulturated joy and hope, and the fact that it's also presented in such a stripped down, honest way, makes it all the more powerful. I wish you guys all the best!
@@eurodara Electronica encompasses all the various forms of electronic music.Synth-pop kind of fits the bill, but I don't see why we need to narrow down music to specific genres. Electronica is one of the worst of the offenders. Can't it just be good music?
In english: We can see that the dude is sincere and he really likes to play music. Good luck to you, Daði, and your band! Greatings from Russia!
You have to be the most sympathic singers in a long time. Really appreciate your work and attitude :) p.s.: didnt know you were streaming in national television at the same time, no wonder you were a bit nervous in the beginning
en JOY Icelandic is basically old Norse, the Icelandic people are descended from Norsemen who went to colonise this new island and never returned. Since Iceland is so very isolated ( no neighbors anywhere near), the language didn't evolve like they usually do. So while Old Norse on mainland Europe evolved into modern Norwegian, Icelandic mostly just stayed Old Norse. It would be like for you and me to hear Old Dutch, you can definitely see the roots but you can't quite understand it properly.
Please please please, when all of this corona shit is over, a European tour and please please come to the netherlands, I cant express how much I like the music you make and want to cheer you on!!!!!
I’m having a hard time. But listening to this and watching the playset is so joyous and calming to the soul. Thank you for making and sharing this, and making me feel less shitty or lonesome.
I fucking love this! When you have that butter-voice and are so talented it’s just extra perfect to be a little weird 😅 Love the whole laid back setup and the wife🙏
His face in the background is hilarious. I love how often that he mentions that she is his wife. It's brilliant. Love, the real deal, is always to be celebrated :)
I AM losing my mind! You have such a wonderful talent that should be shared with the world. Plus a great sense of humor, you deserve all the things! Love from San Francisco!
Thank you. I appreciate your lies and truth. And especially your heart. You help me live. I know you are young and may not understand that, but as a 50 year old being surprised and made to smile is a lovely gift. Thank you!!
