Fucking brilliant! I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a proper belt squat machine but most take up a ton of space and cost a fortune this looks so innovative!
It's really a cool piece of kit. But I've invested in a Rogue Monster rack. I'm curious if this will work on my rack. Or hopefully Rogue will make a version of this that works with their 50 Cal system.
@@bmstylee Does anybody know if this will work with the Rogue Monster 50 Cal System? I have that setup and may be interested in this Sorinex attachment for belt squats.
PSA: Yes, this J*Squat attachment works with the Rogue jammer arms (LT-1 50 Cal Trolley). It attaches to the 3x3 jammer arm via a single 1” diameter hitch pin or detent pin, inserted transversely (in the left-to-right direction, or right-to-left direction). I have found this to be a very useful piece of equipment. The kickstand is a really nice feature, makes loading and unloading plates super easy, and also it’s just really easy to start and stop a lift. Sure, it doesn’t have all the features of a dedicated belt-squat system like the Rogue Rhino, but if you don’t have the room for that equipment, and you already have/plan on getting jammer arms, I’d say the J*Squat is worth considering.
I can't get over the simplicity. The one thing I love is that Rogue and others pushed this massive overbuilt platform that takes up a ton of space and Sorinex comes out and shows the world simplicity. I'm dying laughing. Sorinex has always been quality and Rogue IMO second to third inline (debatable I know). I've found that with quality comes a price. Rogue came out with there belt squat attachment for $1600. Sorinex comes in with an attachment to another useful tool, the jammer arms, for $499 😂😂😂😂😂😂 . Even if you bought both the Adjustable jammer arms $999 and the belt squat $499 you're still cheaper than the overbuilt belt squat attachment Rogue just released. Talk about a slap to the competitors face ROFLOL
Depends if you want to belt squat out in space or hold onto the handles. Also depends on how particular you are about the load ratio. Rogue states it is a 1 for 1. There is no way this attachment is even close to that with the fulcrum being so far back. But still both nice piece of equipment. Plus with the Rouge you can do alot of extra pulley work. Upright rows...side laterals, curls..etc. etc. Still not worth the price tag in my opinion but comparing one to the other is a little misleading.
But how's the ROM on the overbuilt platform systems vs this j squat? And I'm curious if you can leg press, is it worth being able to also belt squat? Thinking out loud, I guess this one has much less spinal loading whereas the leg press can induce lumbar flexion.
Garry Dye it’s not really an issue with the location of the fulcrum; it’s the location of the load and moment arm in relation to the force application. If the plates were the same distance from the fulcrum as the belt, it would be 1:1. As is, the load is 60%, according to Sorinex in this video. That is a big drawback for me as well because I don’t want to load 700lbs to feel 420lbs. I loooove the Rhino squat and would love for this to be as good as that, but it seems to have its limitations as well as its positives. If you already have jammer arms and don’t want the footprint of belt squat, this seems like a great way of getting 80% there...or 60%, as it were.
Can you be a little more specific? What attachment do you use? What belt set up? I have a landmine but I’m not sure how to turn it into something like this
Will this attach to Rogue Monster 3x3 uprights? Will the Jammer arm attach? I would like this rig for my garage. Significantly less cost than a belt squat machine. And much smaller size.
@@SorinexExerciseEquipment does it require the purchase of the jammer arms, or can it work by itself.. It says jammer arm integration as an option, but I can't find if it's a requirement..
