J costa reached out to us and asked us to do a review on their variator and clutch kit. So far we're very pleased with the variator kit, but still need more time with the clutch. These variators should retail for $150-170 ish, let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned for the next video on these rad products!

Hey, my ‘05 ZUMA 50 just started to have bogging issues on hills and I noticed that the clutch bell and assembly wobbles when I pulled off the side and started her up. I’m new at all this and am learning a lot but wonder what to do here. Should I just buy a new clutch assembly? If so, What is a reasonably priced one for a stock Zuma? I feel like this could be the problem as I get a lot of vibration from that area as it is boggibgvdown and feels like it is wobbling out of control possibly and burning off the belt quicker than it should be

The center bushing on that variator is bronze (self lubricating) very nice.

Really interesting idea. I like the look and design of the Reveno clutch more in my head. Similar (ish) idea (no springs, centrifugal force activated) but seems like the Reveno clutch has WAY more surface area as opposed to the bullet shaped sliders. If this design performs as well at half the cost of the Reveno clutch tho thats huge. Also changing those bullets as they wear down HAS to be cheaper than changing the Reveno pads. Them bitches are spensive. Looking forward to seeing how they perform over time. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the input. I run the reveno on my zuma and I’m Not too sure about it. It works but recently I’ve been having clutch issues. I need to pull it apart and see if how it held up to the abuse

You need a heat shield for the starter then you can burn your wooden block. Swimming free

Your videos are great but please make a detailed explanation video about cvt adjustment. I’mean Not the basic roller stuff and clutch spring stuff. I’m talking about when changing contra spring (rear pulley opens faster slower) when rear pulley angle (rear pulley opens slower faster) where are the exact differences. What is the best flank angle for the pulleys? Is there a perfekt flank angle or depends on setup? How to calculate then. How to Calculate the perfekt flank angle, length, thickness of the v belt. That’s would be a so interesting video because in Germany nobody there are different meanings on rear pulley angle, nobody even talks about flank angle. I want to learn this stuff so I start watching the English and netherland videos and Posts.

Would recommend you guys get a yamaha bws 100 it's really a lot of fun but do one of the older model's (2000 model recommended) reason for my comment is cause i have the bws and would love to see you guys with one

@@Scooterswapshop Oh sorry i didn't know cause I'm from a different country. But as I'm watching this vid I'm wondering which rollers are the best for my scooter. I want more acceleration and don't really care about top speed but my bws doesn't want to go faster than 90km/h (55.9Mph) wich is really not that fast

how come you didnt weigh the variator assembly? keen to see a total weight comparison against a multi-var malossi and delta clutch/bell combo. Clutch sounds very noisy at idle.

We did the variator was the same weight I just lost the Audio. Yes I agree this clutch I think is made more for track use not street

Hey guys, love the videos! i got a question. Is scooter tuning illegal in the united states? im from germany and i want to know how the law is on 50cc scooters and their tunability. In germany you aren't allowed to go over 50cc on scoots because of the frames not being able to withstand the speeds or something like that. Would love to know how the law is in the US about 50cc scooter tuning!

My bike is a 2007 cpi gtr 50 my problem I’m having is that it has no power to get it moving i have to push it to get it going once it’s in power band it drives fine but anywhere under that there’s nothing

The bike dosnt run perfect but I don’t believe this to be the problem because when the tires in the air it’s completely fine but on the ground even under it’s own weight it struggles I think it’s a clutch problem but I have no idea how to fix it
