Vance's point on the need for and appeal of leaders who have been "hit in the face and survived", needs to be grasped in relation to higher education and even intelligence more generally also. The elites can become woke because they lack real life experience and existential crises.

Bingo! Trying to convince us that the private and public sectors are different and have different players is one of the main ways they divide the voters against each other. Mhm, at the end he is talking about the collective wisdom. Not everyone spends their time with a thesaurus and knows the words to attribute to their rationality so instead their feelings handle the understanding. There is good and bad in this but the reality is still you are dealing with a person's wisdom. I'd say its probably a great majority of voters handle information this way. Democrats acknowledged this process and have been manipulating the emotional message to gaslight their audience. This is why they no longer need voters to win elections they just need plausibility.

I agree, it's coarse and we want parents to put their children down to listen - I also agree with the point about his being in the military; probably too it makes him relatable talking to voters - that's fine but better off camera. I know he's disciplined enough to do it. He is such a great example and inspiration for young people that I want as many as possible to know him. I'm British but America is important to me.
