I have a J&L installed in a 2018 Ford Mondeo (Fusion). I have a question. Is it necessary to clean the inside of the separator ?? Do not empty, but clean the interior. Thanks
Yes, we recommend a good deep cleaning every 15k miles or so. We recommend removing the separator from the vehicle and spraying brake parts cleaner or similar through the filter and lines and allowing the parts to air dry, and then reinstalling.
Roughly every 15k miles or once a year you will want to do a good deep clean on the separator and filter. We recommend removing the separator from the car (if possible) and spraying brake clean all through the filter and separator and allowing it to air dry before reinstalling.
