I think she forgot this guy was still going to strip clubs when he was engaged to her and then ditched out on a wedding that cost a fortune. It didn’t take him five minutes to pick up with someone else and actually get married. That doesn’t sound like someone who sees your value, respects you or could ever help you see the best things about yourself when he moved on so quickly. It’s beyond hard to live with the fact that you were robbed of having the family with someone you should have had. She can never go back and regain that time. It’s tough being denied something so sacred as having a family with someone you loved so much. He resented that it was her new found fame that was bringing all the spotlight and cameras to their relationship. The more magazines were in pursuit if Jennifer the more resentment I think he felt. Competition is never a good thing when it’s created by outside forces pitting two people, who are supposed to love each other, against each other. No doubt he regretted the way he responded but sometimes the damage is simply done.

When she said “I didn’t think much of myself and so the world didn’t think much of me”. I don’t know if I should have empathy or if I want to shake her for wanting the “entire” world to love her. Many people find JLO cool and inspirational but to be surprised that some don’t can’t be a shock to her - just like there are people she doesn’t like. JLO is the one that wants to be seen and looked up to. It’s in her and has nothing to do with the outside world. The need to seek validation will probably be never ending unless you find peace within.
