Nina Blaze probably because all those people don’t have enough money to sue her. Maybe some of them signed the song rights away to the production companies which wasn’t necessarily addressed. Those people would all go broke if they aren’t already broke trying to sue her. Then they would owe her ass money for legal fees.

Yeah but some vocalists have a way of sounding different but its still them. Listen to monday morning or birds of prey by Christina Aguilera, she subdues her vocals & alters her tone to where unless you are a fan you dont think its Christina singing those songs.
When I heard that J. Lo was using other singers' voices for her choruses but I remembered her songs sounding vocally cohesive. This video showed me how obvious the con was, props to you for remembering and noticing in the first place

I agree. Mariah had the right to protest at the injustice of stealing her Loverboy sample. Mottola used Jlo to sabotage MC's music, so when they interviewed MC and asked her about Jlo, she just elegantly said "I don't know her." People just assume Mariah was being shady and mean but never knew the reason why she was indifferent to her.
1 thing is a sample from a song called "Oh, Calcutta" by the band The Meters. The beat was not created by Amerie. Just like for many songs in rap and hip/hop the same sample was used.

I only met him because my friend was a musician that passed away and after singing at his funeral, his father asked to work with me. I went downtown to the studio, which was upstairs within a restaurant, recorded the vocals- in addition to female vocals that were on the track that the producer "didn't want to use". They were given my number, email address, and other contact information, but no demo was ever sent to me. I didn't want the song for anything other than my portfolio since I was only a freshman at Detroit School of Arts, but I learned very quickly the importance of getting things in writing as well as loopholes in contracts. Fast forward and I have a professional local band, Eminent Vibrations (and apparently youtube videos that haven't been uploading so I stick to facebook live), and my heart goes out to young, exploited musicians on both sides. Millivanilli took the fall for something that essentially their producer did. The same thing "could" be happening here with J-Lo, but she seems less apologetic about it than they did. Not to mention, while not as soulful as the singer's voices they were known for, with more training, they could've come into their own. You're absolutely correct that many of these vocalists were compensated, but not all were.
@@BettyAlexandriaPride this isn't the case with jlo, if you notice most of the examples given here are of established artists or songwriters sending her songs and her keep the vocals then this video simply assumes she stole them. Then tries to insinuate that it's cause she couldn't do the vocals when most of them sound like her and she performs those songs live....

Do you want to know one of the things I LOVE about Selena Quintanilla Perez? She drew inspiration from all musical styles. Her song “Fotos y Recuerdos” is much like “Back on the Chain Gang” by the rock group The Pretenders. Selena loved the song so much and that’s why she heavily sampled it. But guess what she did out of admiration and integrity? She listed Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders as the sole songwriter of “Fotos y Recuerdos”! She gave credit where it was due.

Probably because she's at least singing something on the songs. Her voice is either mixed on top of someone else's or she does ad-libs where you know it's her. It's not like the whole song is not her singing at all. Like Milli Vanilli was.
