Google "Einstein Gödel walk" or "Einstein Oppenheimer walk" and you find photos where these pairs walk around the green IAS yards. In the movie they simply put on the same clothes to copy those old photographs and made real life scenes out of it.
Well, both came from the exact same era and so naturally might have similar mannerisms and speech patterns, in spite of their drastically different career choices
Watch this blowup after Oppenheimer drops, social media gets crazy and hyped and then finds clips of the man talking while placing phonk/sigma music over them
@@marcelotapia3970that's not the point of the comment though? They meant that people will get crazy and be making sigma edits of him when it gets extra popular, they didn't say anything about being special.
Actually cillian murphy has lived the actual life of robert Oppenheimer in the movie he the emerging star in hollywood definitely he should get oscar of 2024....
@@davidallbaugh6858 Yes ,and there is a simple answer! The allies knew by second half of 1944 that the German nuclear programme was stillborn and going nowhere! That caused a crisis of conscience with many scientists and yet they all ,except for one ,decided to carry on anyway .Oppenheimer even took a hand in deciding which city in Japan would be forced to take part in the Manhattan project and was very careful in instructing the air force at exactly which altitude to detonate to obtain maximum effect !!!!!!
@@petethepeg2 Yes it is true that by 1945, we knew that the Germans were not going to have an atomic bomb, but the A Bomb was needed anyway to convince the ruling Japanese Military Oligarchy that the war was lost and they had to surrender unconditionally. The only alternate to use of the Atomic Bombs was an invasion of Japan which would have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of American and Japanese soldiers and Japanese civilians. The A Bombs were used to shock the Japanese militarists into realizing that further resistance was futile. BTW: The firebombing of Japanese cities that began in March 1945 killed hundreds of thousands of Japanese, mostly civilians. The firebombing of Tokyo alone killed more than 100,000 Japanese, more then were killed in either Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Even after the two A Bombs and the Russian declaration of war on Japan and their invasion of Manchuria, it still took the intervention of the Emperor to break the tie in the Japanese War Cabinet in favor of surrender. Also the Japanese Army after this decision, had to put down a mutiny by die hard Army militants who apparently preferred the annihilation of the Japanese people to the "dishonor" of surrendering.
Why we need a movie about this man ....we have documents , so there is no real need for the fiction of a movie from Hollywood with all typical distortions....
The movie is a biopic. It's based on the biography American Prometheus: the Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Martin Sherwin and Kai Bird.
@@Americangirl1991 I know....but it is the same as the movie about Bernstein....we have the documents, so why we need a movie....best wishes , always welcome
As per my knowledge and understanding.... nuclear deterrence has played a pivotal role in global security.....world - Oppenheimer would be utter cahoas and uncertain lives
@@Tanya_skype did you actually understand what I said? I'm not referring to the Japanese expansion in WWII, it's not directly related to that. It's not something exclusively related to the US as well. It's about the MAD and its geopolitical effects.
