Pakistan is well near to my mind since I belong to Kashmir and I have grown up with student Muslims in school and colleges who were more or less Pakistanis, mediaval jihadi mindset ideology.

For example, the concept of each 'nationality' to be given a state of its own, and therefore partitioned territories, is a real shadyantra of khandan against India. It gives Islamists, especially, incentives to assert their separate group identity. And not just in India - in all other nations - to seek "indefinite leave to remain", get naturalised as citizens and then ask for implementation of Shariah across the state as a right to self-determination. Shameless! Add to that the concept of minorities. The moment a group is identified as a constitutional minority they are by implication recognised as a separate nationality and the cycle of khandan goes on again - Sikhs and khalistan for example. As far as Hindus are concerned, despite the differences in panthas, the underlying unity of Sanatana must be recognised, institutionalised and asserted to survive in this system, which is again compliance, but one response I can see for now.

Eg His understanding of Pakistan was so brilliant orelse every idiot goes on to say Pakistan is a bhikari state and tomorrow itself it will break into 4 smaller states 😂. I too have always felt this that Pakistan is much much more stable state than india. Hindus only care of money that they make, we all know how much of money did Kashmiris Pandit made and now they don't have their own land.
My thoughts on the importance of honouring Hindu traditions in Indic arts, using the example of T M Krishna: T M Krishna is a great singer, however has no respect for the culture of which he's a part. Uprooting devotional songs from the soil which germinated and nourished them, and leaving them to wither in a hostile, barren desert, just to make the desert look slightly better for a while, is his favorite pastime. Without the soil, the plant dies, and with continuous, violent transplants, the soil loses its nourishing qualities and the desert grows. Similarly, when Indic arts are uprooted from their Hindu ethos, three things happen: - Firstly, the Hindu ethos lose their lustre and appeal, as they get reduced to mere rituals. Thus, they attract less people, and even less graduate to derive spiritual and intellectual succour which one gets upon going deeper into Hindu practices. A terrible loss. - Secondly, the art also becomes secular/superficial, thus attracting, promoting and producing shallow people, for whom the art simply becomes a means for deriving pleasure and promoting themselves. Instead of ridding them of their neuroticism by making them a part of a divine tradition which connects the individual to the society, the environment, a deity and ultimately, the supreme truth, it feeds said neuroticism by making their art all about themselves and their idiosyncrasies. - Thirdly, by connecting the art to spiritually and philosophically bankrupt institutions, the way T M Krishna did by connecting Carnatic music to Islam and Christianity, it lends undeserved credibillity and attractiveness to these institutions. This is rank cultural appropriation. There is a reason certain "traditions" were unable to produce or patronize such arts, and it is that these traditions have been hostile to the temperament which produces them. The institution doesn't change and the art is reduced to window dressing to attract customers. It is akin to putting sheep's clothing on a wolf. For people like T M Krishna, their ego supersedes their art. Thus, they take undue liberties with the art and get confrontational when questioned. They shine for the moment, just like a rose in a desert, but the art and the tradition suffer. The tradition is the genesis of the art, for a reason. Only the bhakti, temple ecosystem and our gods could create the art. If you divorce the art from them to serve it simply as an exhibition of your skills, you're being petty, disingenuous and above all, a thief. Cultural appropriation is the worst sin an artist can commit. Just to add, he's a Magasaysay (a.k.a. CIA patronage) award winner. Just like Kejriwal, Ravish Kumar, etc.
Ravi Shankar was the same way - they exploit the tradition for their own agenda. Fail to nurture the Hindu backdrop and context to the "art". It is just about enjoyment.

Why as a civilizational country we are so stuck in the Western binary of Secularism (extreme disconnection from religion) & Communalism (extreme affinity towards one religion)? From time immemorial Bharat has been the birthplace & cradle of different mutually exclusive yet complementary pluralistic ideas & faith. Bharat has always been the land of Universal acceptance for all religions yet particularly very sensitive towards its core Indic faiths, which we call Dharma. So instead of these western binaries, we can proudly call our Bharat as a Dharmic nation, where Indic & mutually non-destructive Dharma will flourish & also have state support. Jews have their own state, so does Christians (some bluntly Christian nations & some in disguise as Secular nations). Muslims have their Islamic republics & Emirates etc. If we the people of Bharat, being of different Dharmas such as Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism & Hinduism etc. can't have our own way of protecting our own open minded practices then where will we go? As Hindus we might be the 4th largest religion (as per international definition), but being from different sects, panths, community etc. we're really very small to even make any national impact, let alone international impact. & Here we are getting deracinated day by day by the western idea of secularisation. Being Dharmic, we don't even impose our way of Dharma to any other religions, then what's the need of this term 'Secular' in our constitution in the first place (not to forget that it was introduced in the constitution during emergency). So as Bharatiya, we in one voice should ask our elected representatives collectively to omit this term 'Secular' from our constitution & introduce the term 'Dharmic' instead of it. N.B. at least the discussion should start about it, I'm not saying my interpretation is the only way.

Your reference to organs and leelas is badly rooted. The Arya (Savarna) tradition respects Brahma's creation which included Nature and the laws of Nature including sex. "Hindoos do not feel ashamed of their religion" Their religion, a legal fiction created by the British is based on Christian tenets that rejects Nature. It is a religion for Western Oriented gentlemen such as Gandhi, Nehru, Narendra Dutta (alias Vivekananda), Raja Ram Mohun Roy and their obedient follower Modi. They are ashamed of the religion from which they have been converted by the British, India no longer has a culture of its own. It has a hybrid culture where alien religions, civilization values, ideologies and cultures are dominant.. Primarily there is no such thing as "Hindu". It is a British made legal fiction for their political, administrative and juridical convenience adopted by the Rape Public of India and thrust down the throats of India's myriad religions by Western educated and tested Judges, Journalists, Bureaucrats, Police and ignorant Politicians. It has metamorphosed into a political movement whereby the Natives of India seek to defend themselves from the intolerable persecution of alien religions and ideologies favoured by India's Constitution, Laws, Judges,Journalists, Bureaucrats, Police and Politicians. I am not a Hindoo. I am a Shroutha Smartha by religion and an Arya Brahmana by Varna. If you want to know what Hindu is, you will have to ask Idnia's Judges, bureaucrats, police, Journalists and Politicians as has been the case since the British took over from the Moslems and is very much so under the Indian Rape-Public which inherited the British mantle.
Hindus deserve to have a nation for themselves. Hindus are victims of 1200 years of violence by Islam and christianity. I also accept that these invasions were empowered by caste system but this does not absolve the invaders of their crime. Muslims and Christians partitioned India in 1947. Total population exchange should have happened between India and Pakistan. All the muslims should have gone to Pakistan and all the hindus should have come to INDIA.
On the question of why Islamists have managed to fend off the West intellectually while Hindus have been only considering the muslims as barbarians, I believe this question begs more than what was discussed and remarked by Sai. Post colonial Islam was favoured over Eastern mysticism and it's not their victory or intellectual superiority. In fact, if anything, the events by the end of the previous century and the beginning of this one, West had openly waged a war on Islam in the garb of War on Terror. There are several uniting factors. * All the 3 Abrahamic religions have a common group to hate - idol worshippers. * Custodians of Islam are the Arabs and they are sitting on a stock pile of oil, which were the basis of almost all of modern civilization. * The West somehow thought they were not vulnerable to any attacks and whether these were staged or otherwise, once Islamic terrorism got to them, the tables turned. * Unholy alliance with the left. This has assumed a very high significance in the last decade as the Left seems to be training the Islamists come out of their jaahiliyat or barbaric attire and try to use the victimhood narratives to a whole new level. What can be attributed to Hindus as a drawback is that there is a lack of a concept that is parallel to Al Taqaiyya or an equivalent deceitful doctrine.
I am sorry but those are all loaded questions. For someone with the intellect of Sai Deepak, we need to ask better questions. I want to know which “liberals” did not condemn the murder?
