In this video, J3PO demonstrates the patches available in the J3PO Signature Prophet 6 Patches sound bank. This video contains about half of the available patches. Just bought it. Those patches are fire !!! The basses and leads are straight flame ! Please do more for the P6 ! Better have 50 fire patches like those than 800 wacky patches.

Purchased! I was hoping you would do something like this. Any chance of you posting video tutorials of you reverse engineering some of these patches? That would be super helpful! Nice to have a bunch of playable patches for live and studio use.

Hi, great patches as always. Im a big fan of your playing. I just wanted to ask you - in your sound set for the REV2 there is a brilliant electric piano sound. Do you think this type of sound is achievable on the P6? Thanks and keep up with the great work. Cheers.

There is an EP sound included in this pack. However, the modulation capabilities of the REV 2 allow for much more detailed modeling of the architecture of the sound of an EP. So in short, it won't sound AS electric piano-y.

232 is close perhaps. I also just bought and experimenting now.Very useable set of patches. Btw the Mac sysex link in the pdf doesn’t work, though you can cut and paste which is no biggy. Cheers Julian!

ahhh that patch unfortunately is long gone ... I just re-listened to that clip. You could start with the 230 J3PO Pad and add some chorus to it...and possibly up the attack slightly so it takes a little longer for the sound to develop. I think that should get you pretty close. ;)

J3PO Just curious about your opinion, how do the p6 and ob6 compare in your eyes? Which synth would be better for what? :)

@@iTsSdRaWkCaB one is not better than the other. They are just different flavors of basically the same thing. Having one does not negate having the other. You can make similar sounds on both. But you can also make wildly different sounds on both. The presets on the OB6 attract people at first more than the Prophet 6, but if you dive into the world of sound design, you see that both synths are on equal footing.

I've been thinking about it. The only problem is that it's hard to tell what most VST synth people are using these days. I personally love Serum. I feel like you can make virtually any sound on that synth. And I think a lot of people use it. I'd like to set up a poll to see what soft synth our community is gravitating towards these days.
