My vote is for JABRA and truly after watching this video and the hard work of your guys to guide people like us, I hit the button to subscribe which I normally don't do except creative people like you.
Thanks for the review. Wondering if Sennheiser SC 160 or Plantronics Blackwire C5220 might be a better choice for me. When working from home, I want to hear my kid or my pets doing stuff around the house or the doorbell ringing, but I don't want others to hear it through my microphone. Some of these most popular headsets seem to be too closed which can make them too isolating or uncomfortable and sweaty when wearing all day long. Working as a programmer, I have so many calls a day discussing bugs, test results, pair programming etc.
@@CallOneInc I shared with my co-workers here at 3M b/c we are going full VOIP and we have to pick our headset of choice 'virtually' so we are all looking for the one that does the best at noise cancel and also a good battery/talk time. So your view count might go up some today :) Thanks again. Great tests.
Hi, thanks for this video. I just would like to ask what headset would you recommend for people that has animal noise in the background like neighbors dog barking and chickens
I know this sound crazy or stupid but can you test it with babies or kids on the background most especially if kids are crying out loud or shouting. I'm working from home actually and got kids and this is one of my biggest problems. Hoping the Jabra will nail it.
tried the Plantronics Savi 8220 and it's been a disaster. My voice gets echoey all of the sudden, A2DP bluetooth to phone is a complete joke. skips like i'm holding a 1st gen portable CD player and going for a jog. listening to music from phone then call comes in on the phone. answer it, and now it's not connected anymore so i have to select bluetooth on my phone again. incredibly high maintenance, very poor connection. on top of that random beeps and dead tone sounds mid call where both me and the person i'm speaking with can hear and drowns out the conversation for about 10-20 seconds. Will be returning. this is unusable.
Can you use the Jabra Engage 75 directly connected to a laptop via USB? The company that I work for doesn't allow us to use bluetooth devices. In the videos I've seen you're just using them wirelessly. So I'd love to know if I can use them via USB. Thanks!
Hi - thanks for this!! Do you happen to know which headset+mic is recommended for a webinar-recording? I'm looking for the mic with the least 'hiss' in the audio and least sensitivity to 'p' and 'f' sounds / or breathing / going 'overboard' in the audio-recording. Looking at this from the point of a video-editor. Love to hear if you have any idea regarding this - thanks again!!
Hi to you both, i dont need a headset right now as i use XLR mic setup but just based on this test, I think Jabra performed the best with the noise cancelling, the plantronics has the most connections but the noise cancelling isnt as good as Jabra, nor the mic quality of Sennheiser. In order i would put Jabra 75 first, sennheiser second, plantronics last
I am considering the Senheisser 5066 (Thats how its sold in Amazon UAE). A lot of reviews point to the fact that the metal headband is not suitable for people with big heads. Are you able to comment on this ? Would really like to know your inputs before I go ahead and purchase one..
Nice video. Succinct and useful. Can I ask, specifically regarding the Jabra which sounded best to me, can you hear your own voice when you're talking on a call? I don't mean ambient voice I mean through the headset? I can't handle being on a call and not being able to hear myself lol! Thanks for your help. As an aside, I'd be curious to know your assessment of a headset like this vs a "quality" set of earphones such as the Bose 700 which claim to have good and numerous mics to pick up your voice. This is in the context of working from home predominantly for calls and zoom meetings. Again, knowing if I you can hear yourself properly would be really helpful. Please and thank you!
@ Call One, Inc. I think it's pretty funny how Catholic in DC linked a video that is clearly far more edited, especially audio-wise, as compared to your much more natural videos. Thanks for the great and honest comparisons! I work from home and I travel a lot. I've got dogs barking in the background while at home (not great insulation for my walls) and of course while traveling, it can get very annoying when my audience can't hear me that well. Is there a headset out there that combines the best ANC speakers ANDperfect noise-cancelling mic out there? Right now, I use the Plantronics Focus UC, which is AMAZING for the noise-cancelling mic, but when I'm on a plane, I have to switch to my Bose QC35 IIs, as they are so much better with planes and overall travel. With regards to the noise-cancelling mic headset, I was really leaning towards the blue parrot BX450, except I really like the dual-ear of the Plantronics Focus. So...you guys have gone through pretty much every headset I've been looking at - got any solid recommendations based on my requirements? I'd really like to just have one headset to rule them all, but that might be too much to ask for... :(
@@CallOneInc thank you for the reply! Yes, ONE DAY we'll get there! Once again, you're videos are the prime example of what is needed for real reviews! Keep up the good work!
Hello! Can maybe anyone help? I have Jabra Engage 75 but noise canceling is so down low, that I can hear about what people talking in 5 m radius, and the do not talk loud. What kind of software have you used to test thous headsets?
@@CallOneInc Of course! Thanks a mil. I love your channel. One more question.... In your opinion, which would be the best between the Jabra evolve 75 and Jabra engage 75 as I've seen you testing both. In terms of noise cancellation?
This may sound like a dumb questioned but is the noise cancellation displayed in this video only to block out noise for the user or does it also block them out for the person on the other end?
Great Test! Can you tell me what you think the difference is between the Jabra Engage 75 and the Jabra Evolve 75 from your "Mic Test Showdown background noise" Video in terms of Voice quality/clarity when calling in a loud environment? There aren't any review online comparing the engage to the evolve series. Thanks =)
@@CallOneInc thanks a lot for the detailed answers!! :) Most interesting is the voice quality that the other caller will hear (clarity and background noise cancelation). However I realize that that can only be compared in a test probably
Maybe this could be late, but if the active noise cancellation on the headset is important? I used Jabra for its unsure unique features compared to Plantronics except ANC
Great question! Let’s first understand your use case. What type of role do you have? What device will you be connecting the headset to? For example, a desk phone (brand/model), computer (Windows/Mac/Chromebook, USB A or USB C), other? There are several solid performing headsets including the Jabra Biz 2300 and 2400ii series, EPOS Impact SC 600 Series, JPL TT Element series, etc.
So, on the other side of the coin, which of these blocked the dog/vacuuming noise from you the best? Having a noisy cube mate next to me I need to block him out from my hearing, not just from the mic.
really great video however can you tell me if the Jabra 65 UC noise cancelling is as great as this? thats the one im looking into purchasing and you dont have an review for it
i have a 6 month old and work from home and at times may need to keep him in office with me . I'm looking for something with excellent noise cancelling and thats affordable. the jabra 65 uc stereo seemed what was best for me.
Would you be able to do a similar test to this with newer headsets and also during the test, could you stop talking maybe for like 5-10 seconds (as if you're listening but with mic unmuted), I wonder if the mic will then think Mariah is the speaker and pick up their voice?
Hi Wesso! Thanks for your comment. We have several new videos. The challenge is we're all working remotely now, and Mariah has moved on to Logitech as our Channel Marketing Manager. In recent mic test videos, I use a TV playing the news to simulate people talking. I have been trying to get my wife to join me in doing what Mariah was doing, but she's shy and doesn't like to be on camera. She's my complete opposite. 😁 Anyway, take a look at these ru-vid.com/group/PLOmK3KI8aDaVR64fuVXeMl4_AkNuJbMtE Contact us directly if you have more questions! M-F, 8am-5pm ET. Hi Daniel, we test several headsets on our channel and use them to record audio for videos using them. Yes you can, it’s up to you. I would love to understand what type videos you will be recording. Here’s a playlist with several headset mic tests: ru-vid.com/group/PLOmK3KI8aDaVR64fuVXeMl4_AkNuJbMtE
@@CallOneInc Thank you! I'm looking for a mic for voice over, and did that question because I'm, afraid some noise canceling mics could reduce the audio quality
@@DanielMessias1997 if you have a dedicated quiet room for recording voice overs, there are mics designed for that. I don’t test them but I know they exist because EPOS use to be a part of Sennheiser and they make mics for voice. Here’s a blog I found www.voices.com/blog/which-microphones-are-best-for-voice-actors/
Hi sir good day... im planning to be a live streamer, but the problem is, i have a noisy background and a crowded place... Can u help me. or can u recommend a headphone that have Noice cancellation with anti static noice???? so that when i play online game like PUBG my team wont get angry about my background noice??? thank u sir.... please reply
This video is hitting all my buttons. 1. Quick short video with incredibly useful information 2. Hot chick sitting and smiling Seriously, though, thank you for posting this.
@@CallOneInc I have noisy environment, outside hawkers or children sounds also comes.I just prefer that it can be connected to phone and laptop . I just want headphone with microphone ( if mini piece is available then that also is considerable even single eared).
What's the best wired Noise Cancelling Mic headset right now? We've tested a lot and I mean a lot of these headsets but seems to get overpowered when there's more than 3 people in the room talking at the same time.
@@CallOneInc Thanks for the reply. We are connecting via USB(PC) since we are using softphone. I am already at a point of trying out broadcast headsets =). Really hard to find a good one for a noisy contact centre.
@@CallOneInc On point on the budget part. We are in the Philippines. How I wish we can have all the agents work at home but difficult on the kind arrangement that we have. We had purchased and tried a lot of headsets but none seem to work for a room of at least 50 people let alone a hundred on the same day. Currently we have expanded our budget and is definitely looking for a better solution. Thanks for your help.
@@carlb641 Definitely agree with the Jabra Engage 50, but take a look at the Jabra Biz 2300 USB headsets as well. Avoid voice tube type headsets, and make sure that agents are trained to check the position of the mic boom is positioned level with the mouth. If you haven't already, also consider how the rooms are set up to absorb, not reflect sound...
@@alexwilliams451 Thanks for your input. We've already tried the 2300 but doesn't seem to work. Right now we are using the engage 65 since the 75 is not allowed in our country for some reason. Works well but can still pickup if voices get really loud. I've just put in plugins to lessen bg noise but it gets cumbersome maintenance wise.
Wireless Earbuds: Apple AirPod Pro, Sony WF-1000XM3, Sennheiser Momentum, versus the above headsets, preferably existing in-ear products with Active Noise Cancellation, please, and thank you 🇸🇬
