Jack and Marie Lord were such wonderful people . The way that they helped the needy and the poor as well as other charitable organizations is simply amazing ! Jack and Marie Lord , if you both can hear us from Heaven , thank you for your kind generosity by donating to less fortunate people in Hawaii !
From 1968 for 12 seasons Jack Lord truly played his role of Steve McGarrett down to perfection. For 12 seasons my husband viewed every single episode that there was of the orginal Hawaii Five 0 because it demenstrated two things. The first one was always to tell the truth and to be honest while the second one shows that being greedy or commiting any bad deeds will take anybody to the jail and like Steve McGarrett always tells Danno "Book 'em". I feel so lucky to have been able to watch the original show. I watch now every chance I get. Loved Jack Lord. The "new" show is Crap!! He was the greatest!!
Nobody was better than Jack Lord. I wish I had met this fine gentleman. Hawaii 5-0 will always be the best show on television! He was like a father figure to me. God Bless him forever! I will miss him.
Jack Lord's portral of Steve McGarrett was without exception, outstanding!!! He was a tough no nonsense cop. His show lasted twelve years........longest running cop show on TV. As stated in the previous comment, long gone but not forgotten. Long live Steve McGarrett!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what the problem is but Jack Lord was in love with someone else he was in love with Francz Nugence I know I didn't spell right but he was in love with that woman
WOW! Jack Lord was a very handsome man!!!! Our family use to watch the "original Hawaii 5 0 back in the good ole days". Long gone but "not" forgotten!!!!!
Hawaii 5 -0 was one of the best television shows of all time, the cast were all great. When I was stationed in Pearl Harbor on shore duty, I would watch Hawaii 5-0, my late paternal grandmother watched it as well, so did her neighbors, my late parents did also, so did my brothers.
have just come back from hawaii and when there thought a lot about late 1960s hawaii, jack lord and the tourism wave that started because of this fictional show, also the boeing 707 and eventually the 747 would bring many many people to the islands and they are still coming today!
I always loved watching Hawaii Five o and Jack Lord living in Hawaii and years ago I wanted to live in Hawaii but they have too many hurricanes, Back in the eighties my father sent a letter to Jack Lord and requested a 5-0 badge and weeks later he got a letter from Jack Lord and the man sent his very own badge he used in Hawaii 5-0 and I thought woooo that was his only badge. He Jack Lord said he can always get another one made up, but later on in2007 six years after my father had passed on I had to sell it to some gentleman in Mentor Oh. said I will buy it and he did he gave me a good money for it. If I had today it would be worth over six figures that rocked my boat WoW! but I had to to pay some bills left behind. That's another reason why I enjoyed watching 5-0 this is true story I had a good time enjoying it while it lasted.
@@ww-dw4zq Thanks for the memories of Jack Lord in the first James Bond movie Dr. No he played Felix Lighter .Then I started watching Hawaii 5-0and Steve McGarrett was born and so was book'em Danno. I really enjoyed watching Hawaii 5-0 McGarrett was always trying to get Wo Fat . Wo Fat was always an enemy of 5-0 or getting in to McGarretts hair. All I can say is Mrs . Jack Lord he was a great actor and that I say he should have gotten an Emmy Ward for his show thanks so much for your liking my comments. Aloha and stay safe.

Year's Ago I Came Across A Book Entitled "Is Any One Hear From Brooklyn"? It Had A List Of Famous People Who Either Born And Raised In Brooklyn New York. It Said That Jack Lord Was Born in Brooklyn New York At 829 Halsey Street In The Bedford Stuyvesant Section Of Brooklyn New York. How True Is It?
Matthew Bulger : Jack Lord born in Brooklyn, N.Y.. But, I don't know the address. "Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lord was the son of Irish-American parents. His father, William Lawrence Ryan, was a steamship company executive. He grew up in Morris Park (now known as Richmond Hill), Queens, New York."~from Wikipedia. Thank you!
