One the best interviews I have listened to on Combat Story. It seems like I have said that a few times. Our family lost a Green Beret SSG Keith Bishop in Afghanistan. He was my nieces husband. I listen to these interviews to not forget the sacrifices all of these men the living and the dead. Thank You.
I’ve read Murphy’s law, and I listen to jack and Daves podcast every week, these guys are unbelievable soldier’s professionals with ethics. Keep leading the way lads, from a UK fan 👍🏻

Re: identifying enemy combatants: There's a reason the Allies didn't regularly wear camo in Europe and the Japanese didn't regularly wear camo in the south pacific: the advantage gained from being slightly less visible to the enemy does not out weigh the benefits of being easily recognized by friendly forces (who you are obviously more likely to be in contact with). The beards, the local garb, the indigenous vehicles, etc used by coalition forces often led to misidentification. You were not the first, nor the last. Don't beat yourself up over it.
Jack, Ryan I subscribe to both your channels. Excellent informative and accessible to non military types like myself. Glad to see you two finally getting together. Top respect!
This guys evolutions really resonate with me because I’ve been there. I’ve been the smart guy the dumb guy the tough guy the weak guy the rookie and the vet. This is so relatable that it makes me feel really good that I’m not the only one to have felt these feelings. I’ve been in a position where I’ve been ready to die and said fuck it. I’ve been crazy excited to be where I was and about what I was doing. Extremely relatable story and I respect the hell out of this guy.
Great podcast. Big fan of The Team House podcast. I have even more respect for Jack for being open and transparent about the FF incident he was involved in. Yet another example that war is chaotic and not like the movies make it out to be. Good work!
As an MP that enlisted in June of 2k I remember the beginning of the Army AKO era. But when I initially went through we had to do the DA 3975 on paper. We heard rumors of a digital version coming but never seen it till shortly before 9-11. Years later even though nobody had done a paper 3975 in 6yrs, I did Reserve training mission that was out in the sticks so we had to gather a bunch of paper copies and have classes on what was and wasn’t required.
Good stuff! I love both the podcasts. You gentlemen keep it up! 19 years and counting on active duty and I love the stories. They take me back to the magical years when I was young, reckless, foolish, wild, angry, and hungry for more war!! Where did the damn time go???
They talks are…I wish he didn’t put the camera on himself the whole time…it’s annoying listening to someone talk, and he has the camera on himself the whole time…
Jack Murphy and Dave Parke are both badass's. The Team House podcast's are fucking awesome! Q and A get's ridiculous and the interviews are painted very well, like your there in the moment. Need more of these guy's to talk, and more people to listen. Mike Glover and Kevin Owens with Field Craft survival is great. Tim Kennedy, Clint Emerson, and my favorite atm is the Shawn Ryan Show and Vigilance elite. But This, Combat Story is always awesome. Also GBRS and DJ Shipley is another favorite. Coloin Noir, Andy Stumph at Cleared Hot and Mike Ritland at Mike Drop are all other badass's to follow. Thank you Gents for your stories and service.
That had to be brutal but Jack did the right thing putting the bad ambush behind him. I think it's every fighters nightmare. Great story as they all are
Thank You, Ryan Fugit, for Your Military and Intelligence Service, Thank You for this Podcast, and, Thank You, for the use of the proper doctrinal term , " CIA Officer", and not, " CIA ' Agent' ", for those Men and Women who NEVER, EVER, served in either DIA( Defense Intelligence) , ISA( Military Intelligence) nor CIA( National Intelligence) , the terms are accurate. Thank You, Ryan Fugit.
Enjoy his podcast. As well as being proud of being from the same county he's from Westchester New York. got to give much gratitude and appreciation of service to him 🤘🏻😁 To free the oppressed !!!
Have you ever had a “first fart” in a vehicle? I haven’t yet, but it’s my dream. Imagine getting to be the first person to fart in your own car…damn that’s sweet success right there.
Such a great interview. Interesting story. I have a bit of feedback though. Sound levels and quality took away from the subject. Interviewee too low interviewer way higher.
Used to be AKO and your account would be disable after 30-days of none use...lol. Every time you logged on you had to call the help line to reset your password and then your sponsor would always have to authorize your account and they were anyways busy. Now they changed all that to Army Enterprise and have contracts with Microsoft.
'The things that make you good in combat, make you a complete train wreck..' I'm so glad that I had a kind British officer attached to my brigade to listen to my intellectual rant on '.. how I'd do it..' while in a rocket shelter. There is so much more I could say, but comments aren't the venue.. Thank you🫡
Yeah, audio balance was definitely skewed. Another production issue was watching Fugit drink coffee the entire time Jack is describing a part of his story. Need to have the guest on camera when they're talking.
Jack pisses me off some times with his liberal views, ( mostly on Twitter) but I find him to be an honest guy, good reporter too, actually he’s the type of reporter we need more of…
What the hell you fire on your own team? Why? I didn't know this? How does that even happen? Omg. Did you get court marshalled? Or demoted? What definitely would have fixed that situation would have been better comms. I think that was the downfall wass the radio communication and not communicating with your team to let them know what you are about to do with the ambush.
@@1976thompson damn the good idea fairy must have been out in force for years in order to keep that website. Sorry you had to deal with it too. I must have been locked out of that website at least 1000 times. Congratulations on the retirement. Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your Service Rangers I appreciate you guys big time and this is why I want to ask this question from you the legit Rangers. Would it be considered disrespectful If I design WW2 Rangers t shirt im not trying to sell it or make profit nor do I want to pretend im a Ranger no im not and I wasnt meant to be but I do Respect and Admire the Rangers specially the WW2 Darby's Rangers im new into designing t shirts and I just want to make one to HONOR my favorite Defender of my country which is the Army Rangers the (scrolled one) but im hesitating to do that for I would never want to Disrespect the Rangers. I understand to be a Ranger you have to earn it and It wasnt meant to be I did not pass MEPs because of psoriasis so I accepted the Cold Truth but I do Appreciate the Rangers so im asking an honest opinion from the Real Rangers if its ok to make a t shirt of the WW2 Rangers or would it be disrespectful because if it disrespectful to you guys I will not continue what im planning to do out of Respect. All I really want is to show my Support thats all I mean I rather sport the Rangers over the Lakers anytime anyday without the Rangers sacrifice who knows I may not even be alive if those Nazis and Imperial Japan army won. I know I said a lot I just hope I get some honest answer I just dont want to disrespect my Heroes and thank u for ur Service
I gotta say that Jack Murphy is the one and only American soldier whom I found legit. Who is not full of shit! You can tell how he is keeping it real about all the dark sides of the dream many happen to have. We should all really admire his honest, righteous and ethical approach to all this. Because we gotta remember it’s not about the bang! It’s about the ethics, why we fight?..
⚠️ GUEST REQUEST : EDDIE GALLAGHER - SEAL screwed over by a “WOKE” military… The author interview was good. How about the subject of the Phillips book.? Thank you again. ❤️
