I’ve seen jack skate in Melbourne city it was insane, I was riding a 4 stair with my homies and there was a massive gap next to it, man goes Mach 10 and fakie tres it first try no warm up
I’d love if you made more videos like this one: I really appreciated how you broke down tricks and spots and as someone decently new to skateboarding it gave me more and more appreciation for this part. Thank you!!
@@justins9786 if you dont like them just dont watch them... you dont have to hope they dont put them out and disappoint all the people who actually enjoy them... unless you get off on schadenfreude or something
Loved your take on Jack, I was watching this and flipping out and you pointed out parts I didn’t even realize. The fast skating is where it’s at, thanks man
This is late, but dude. I went there last year and i'm not kidding when i say it looks impossible from the top haha. I'm still genuinely shocked at how anyone could think of jumping down that thing
To add to your Janoski bit, I had the original, first pair of Janoski SBs & they were low tops. They had the almost square, black leather cowboy-ish laces, black upper, white midsole, plaid/removable insole, & I think the tag on the tongue said “For Daily Use”. Pretty basic shoe nowadays but at the time when it was only blazers, dunks, & maybe some Kostons, people had a love hate relationship with them. When I wore em to my local for the first time my friends & people around were like “are those golf shoes?” “Those aren’t even made for skating I bet” “those laces are ridiculous” “who the fuck is Stefan Janoski?!” So years down the road when Stefan Janoski is a literal millionaire off that sneaker design alone & almost every SB pro/fanboy has skated multiple pairs, it reminded me that change is slowly accepted into skateboarding & only if certain “gatekeepers” acknowledge or deem things as cool per say. Wordy pointless RU-vid comment but it’s my experience & take on Janoski sneakers. Ya, go GiftedHater & go Jack O’Grady yay
same thing with slip on vans. '' are those nurse shoes?" and dont get me started on skinny jeans lol. same kids in middle school who talked shit about both came into school the next year wearing both after the pack came out with "got my vans on" song.
I had those original Janoskis with the square laces. I think they came out in 2010 or around that time? They were black with baby blue logos on them. I had always skated a chunkier shoe, like the old school Vans Rowleys and TNTs, or something more low profile like the Era or the cheapest, most basic Emerica and Etnies the skate shop would sell for around $45 bucks which were similar to a suede Era. With that being said, the Janoskis were a big departure for me and the first Nike shoe I had ever skated. I ended up loving them though. I mostly skate half cabs now, but after revisiting this video, I think I'll hit up the Nike outlet and see if they have any Janoskis.
@@johnny8030 when I was in high school, kids would throw bottles and yell out the three letter f word to my friends and I when we were skating or walking down the street and they would drive by. As soon as I got out of high school, I would see those same kind of kids wearing the same tight pants and stuff that they were targeting us for. When I first got into skating, we used to think that Ed Templeton's pants in Welcome to Hell were tight lol.
Got into this company after this review and the Jenkem video. Such a sick company-great graphics and vibe-and these animations are rad. You are spot on with everything in this video. At least I agree with your taste. It seems like Aussies all around are sick skaters. This guy is fucking epic. Beautifully gnarly skating.
I'm from a small town in Australia and I agree that when people skate fast it makes lines look very stylish some of the older skaters who have now moved away and Gotton sponsored by Nike skate very fast and very clean it's really cool to see.
The crusty spots remind me of how Finland is. Everything is fucking crust to the max. It’s so hard to make anything smooth since the frost lifts everything up during the winter. Asphalt everywhere and not the smooth kind, the big ass rocks in a soup kind. Even the skateparks need some fixing every few years, if theres some tiling involved. But it makes you appreciate the few places with smooth surfaces and gives you kind of an edge to skating in general
A bit late to the party but the guy who does the animations for Pass-Port is Sammy Thornton. Source: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qADe8n7LvBE.html&ab_channel=jenkemmag at 56 seconds.
One thing about him going fast in Australia is that it is a country that had to build a fuck ton of infrastructure with not a lot of people.. so hills didn't get flattened and everything steep and crusty af. Takes a diff type of dude to skate some of these spots
I think the Santos ABD was way up the bank, smaller, there was a 9club they did a break-down of this absolutely insane Jack part. Think Jerome spoke knowing the spot.
The Nyjah comparison on the lines is jaded.. following from the back with a phone with the skater going away from you is gonna make you seem to be going a lot slower than someone following you with a fisheye on a vx..
Kitsch slapped hard. Very refreshing especially in relation to oz skating & where it is at this time. Years ago When Magenta came to Perth Josh Roberts done a film Crossing the perth dimension. I hold those two in my hand
To be honest I hate it when skaters skate into the street and play chicken with cars like that. Especially on purpose like Nyjah did skating straight toward the oncoming truck. That should be illegal and is such a dick move. It doesn't make you look cool when you do selfish stunts like that. Those drivers don't care that you are a pro skater they just see an idiot skating toward oncoming traffic in the road. It just makes these people have bad views on all skaters because of dumbass stunts like that.
dog love the vids and the general attitute but honestly draggin nyjah for not entering a roadway at full speed after a fucking insanely steezy two tricks just feels unnecessary
At 10:38 that spot that isn’t a spot is called cannons when I used to skate there.. Stevie Williams has a trick there is the dc movie. Bet you can’t work out which one? I’ll give you a hint.. it’s a manual trick
