Fun fact: Hollywood studios once conducted a test to see what kind of material would make an audience hate a character as quickly as possible. Dog abuse topped the list, even above rape and murder. The more you know!

I like how the dog hops into the car at the end, all happy, and is like, “Alright! So where are we goin’?”

That dog actor was very good. Started off in show business as a puppy. Learned the trade in lousy cat movies. Had to work as a security guard to pay the bills. Got a couple of breaks in TV series that nobody remembers. Now his big break co-starring with Reacher. The sky is the limit now.

The few seconds of silence where they sit there with the dog in the car are golden.

When I worked as a plumber’s helper during a summer vacation from college, I got put with a grumpy middle aged guy that didn’t want to “babysit” me and gave me shit all day every day. We didn’t get along for about a month, but then we got a call for a job near the city. The folks had a cat with one eye and a tore up face, living in a filthy garage with a litter box that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in forever. We agreed to steal the cat and he would give it to one of his relative’s kids. We did, and from then on we were great friends. Miss that guy, wish I got his contact info before I went back to school.

Last May I was leaving a Dollar General when a 3 month old Border Collie ran up to me. No collar or tags, dirty, sweet and friendly with the worst separation anxiety. Highly doubt he even got his shots. Tried to take him back to his owner and he wouldn't go anywhere near him. Didn't 100% know the story and he told me if I wanted to take him off his hands to go right ahead. Almost a year later and he's an absolute blessing to have. Loves anything and everyone

I’ve never watched this show but based on the shorts I’ve seen it seems like this show is just a big dude going around and setting small problems right and not usually in a way that includes good acting.

“ . . . take the dog to a no kill shelter”. Amazing how life can appear in fiction. In my county, there is no animal shelter of any kind. The neighboring counties do have shelters but won’t accept from outside their county. Sometimes people are put in situations like this character shown in this clip. The character’s uncle likely had minimal means and compounded the problem by not making arrangements for the dog when the uncle passed. It is tough but common.

Much more people should be like Reacher than less people would do shit anymore. Clarify and eliminate problems and teach the bad guys a lesson they will learn from. What a wonderful world in peace it would be. Aside from that Reacher is one coolest series around this time.

This man trespassed on someones property 3 times, assaulted a man & kidnapped his Dog… this reacher guy is a real thug.

It was this scene originally that made me want to watch the whole show and I’m glad I did! ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!! Way more true to Reacher from the books than the movie version

reacher does not take kindly to this person not giving water to his dog, it is the dogs right and its animal abuse, an ex friend of mine knew a dog was being abused and couldnt stand it anymore do she and some friend's took the dog gave him loving home, the owners could not have cared less!!! Reality: Now Reacher has charges for assault and battery, criminal trespassing in the second degree, and theft of an animal. Looking at upwards of 2 years in jail and thousands in fines.

I really love that show and I'm watching season 2 right now which is very good as well.

The times i went through traumatic shit and - in the silence, after you cried and the world feels like a burden - you hear the happy breathing of your dog… and the pain just flows away. The end of this scene reminded me of that feeling :)

A dog is picking up his bowl outside and we're supposed to think of him as abused? For all Reacher knows a mom went inside a couple minutes earlier because Donovan got into the glue again, and didn't have time to fill up the bowl that very moment. Wtf is he doing jumping someone's fence to feed a dog he knows nothing about?

They must have deleted the scenes where he gets arrested for assault, trespass, and theft along with being served papers on an impending lawsuit and restraining order.

I have not seen this show but so far the clips have shown me that Jack is just a guy that puts awful people in their place and im all about it.
