Shhh, what an atmosphere! Truly immersing experience, even through the screen... And that energy from stage, I have to say, then and now, ten years later, is just nothing less. I'm thrilled about Jack White's and the band's - whatever the composition - enthusiasm and absolute devotion to the music. Great respect.

The majority of fans are young, but the interesting thing is his music is wide ranging for some many generations who are far from ever being considered hipster intellects. Jack is freaking awesome and some of us discovered his music long after he hit the scene, but you know, if you are a fan of music genius, you have to respect JW.

I like his live band(s)....but, honestly, there seem to be WAY TOO MANY instruments going on all the time. It really makes you realize how the simplicity of the White Stripes actually was an integral aspect of their sound. I prefer hearing Jack ALONE against the world...over nothing but a simple raw primordial drum beat.

I wasn't really aware of them when they were around, but I miss the stripes. The concert videos compared to this are so much more amazing.

The reason being we were all immersed in the musical experience of Jack White and all of a sudden some faceless cameraman would intrude into reality with a huge panel of bright fucking white LED lights trying to capture the moment, instead ruining it and lingering on with a camera rolling in your face for about 8 seconds longer than the brief moment of initial excitement about being filmed. There also happen to be some weird people in New Orleans that enjoy attending live music events.

During the sixteen saltines solo, "gee damn, I mind as well do nother' random solo. Did this song enough times already."

Not a bad concert, but am I the only one that feels that despite all these new instruments pitching into his live performances, it still just feels like clutter being but over the hole that Meg White's drumming left, people can say whatever they want about her but somehow jacks instruments and her's just seemed to fuse to me.. no just me?

Ugh he's fucking amazing........I feel like he deserves legend status already, despite the fact that he hasn't died or burned out like so many musicians who are considered "legendary" seem to have to do before recieving that title. But this dude seriously is a fucking enigma...there's no one else in the industry quite like him. This kind of talent is a truly rare find, and I'm happy to be one of the lucky people that know about him and his beautiful music.

That feedback at 16:02 ... Jack was really pissed. But the whole band's improvisation - amazing; improv virtuosos. You can see how they catch on to what song they're gonna play, how they all communicate within the song... awesome.

Jack has PAID HIS DUES. From thrift store equipment and self-imposed limitations, to strutting and full expression, fully facillitated, on a mountain top that he climbed. I love this.

I utterly regret never seeing the White Stripes live in their prime(from 2003 to 2007). If nothing else, it'd be great to see Jack solo....but still, nothing compares to the 4 or 5 years where the White Stripes were simply THE best live band in the world.

Jack's an Artistic Musical Genius. He's got to keep the musical genius flowing !!!! If anyone thinks that he didn't arrange every Chord, String, Drumbeat, Keynote, Tamborine shake ETC..... then they just don't understand the way a Musical Genius thinks. The guy is a BEAST !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you can say if it was better or not. Back then there was an other image of Jack White as someone who does whatever he wants with his instruments and doesn't really care that much what's thought of him.

If you're talking about the sound quality - its always gonna lack a little on youtube.. as for the way they sound as a band, yes - its messy. But thats the way its supposed to be. Its not supposed to be perfect. If it was, it would lack in something.. part of his music being so brilliant, is the fact that it is in a sense.. very loose, and in a live setting, a bit of a mess. As for the kit, thats a classic way of setting up a drum kit.

Is Jack squeezing a little sweet home alabama in on I fell in love with a girl @ 39:36? One of the many things I love about Jack is that he always plays without setlist and controls the show as he goes. You often see him using signals or body language to tell the bandmates which direction he wants to go with it. You can see this especially in the White Stripes concerts with Meg. They read each other so well
