@@RetNemmoc555 Dream With Me went Gold almost immediately. Jackie is now promoted in the media and by concert venues as a "multi-Platinum artist. I had read somewhere that Dream With Me has gone Platinum.....Not surprising.

@@cl9786 The Record Industry Association of America (RIAA) has not certified the record higher than Gold. Maybe in some other country's system based on population, but until platinum certification is issued in that country, Dream With Me is a gold record. Do you have a link?

A retired GOAT [geatest of all time] singer volunteers without seeing the finished product and without verifying Jackie's voice, a complete 'newbie', and her dedication to a career of singing first? That would stretch MY sense of credibility, but crazier things have happened. People say 97 year-old Dick Van Dyke just appeared as a 7 foot tall gnome on "Masked Singer" so it COULD happen but unlikely since everyone knows gnomes are old but very short. She would have had to know about David's project and blindly approach him on faith, and some 'need' to be back in the public eye. Certainly Foster would be delighted, but it just sounds far fetched. I imagine David Called Barbra as an important long time friend and master of the industry himself, and proposed this mashup, with Barbra knowing that Foster had HIS reputation on the line as well. This was produced live on stage with [as I was told] the video of Barbra dubbed in POST concert. Anyways, you might be right, but....?

@@jordannash1998 A couple of "superfans" were present, so possibly they will chime in regarding what the audience saw. At the time, it was publicized that Foster proposed it, but Babs enthusiastically said yes, and even volunteered to come to Foster's recording studio [only a mile away in Malibu], and help with any touch-ups if needed.

Sorry, you're mistaken. Jackie sang/recorded Imaginer for the first time on her Dream With Me album at age 10 following her O Holy Night EP which was recorded several months after AGT.. This was her first live performance of the song, just a few days after her 11th birthday.

Hi tunanorth, No worries, I have given Shakes-P, Seventeen song donations from Jackie's Dream with Me in Concert & Music of the Movies, and some other performances of Hers. The song "Lovers" is included in that group of songs. I'm sure he will try to react to all I've given Him. He has stated he wants to dive deep into her performances. I have to admit I was a little confused about her age at the taping of the PBS Concert, Dream With Me In Concert. I had stated she was 11 years old at the taping of this concert as well, in my comment. I seen enough comments to the fact she was 10 years old when she did this concert, so I was compelled to check to find out possibly for sure. I had to fact check it with Wikipedia and other music sources. They state the live performance was taped in early April 2011, on the 4th, just days before her 11th Birthday which is on April 9th, and was broadcast on PBS stations on June 5, 2011 at 9:00 PM for the first time. She was clearly 11 years old when the concert was aired, but was still 10 when it was taped. I guess for me, I have to believe what I've read is true from the sources I've checked. @@thomashaines4379 Ha-Ha, Wikipedia is far from a definitive source. At the time it happened, it was well-known among the fan community that the taping was a few days AFTER her birthday. That discussion is no doubt buried under a million gigs of forum data. I attended her "warmup" concert in Houston, where she opened with "Lovers" and debuted "Nessun Dorma"; it was like seeing Hendrix' debut at Monterey. Mind totally blown. I tried [but failed] to get tickets to the DWM concert event. Apparently the invited audience was mostly big PBS donors who had never heard of her, which is why some of the applause is lukewarm. A few "superfans" did manage to get in somehow. Stepping back from that Minutiae, the entire DWM production was gargantuan and EXPENSIVE, and all of it totally depending on a very tiny, very young girl.

@@tunanorth I have to say I am relived to know I was right in my orginal knowledge of her age in this performance. It was just there were so many comments about her being 10 & 11, I doubted what I knew. I spent a half a day trying to pin down the right answer, and like your saying there's millions of form data out there. I understand, even the info on the thumbnails of these original video's can be wrong. I didn't just believe Wikipedia's info as carved in stone either, I went further than that. When I make a comment about something, I don't like to be wrong about it, the facts and truth is what I strive for if I'm going to put it out there. It's hard to ignor what people say, especially if it's on a comment I've said. I have to learn to just go by what I know is fact, and leave it go as that. I am a big fan of Jackie's, and I listen to her music everyday. I did experience her talent in 2010 on AGT, just like so many other people, and was just blown away. I've been a big fan ever since. @@thomashaines4379 Exactly where her birthday falls is virtually nothing compared to the monumental production put on for an unproven child from a talent show, who didn't even win. [she actually did win, but that's a different story]. Unprecedented to say the least. Only Shirley Temple in the pantheon of past child stars could have gotten that much time, effort, and money devoted to a single performance. Think of all the things that cause 10/11 year olds to miss school. A scratchy throat or a sudden case of the sniffles, and the entire thing is shot. About a year after this, she fell off her bike and needed 100 stiches in her leg!

@@tunanorth Yes, I so much agree with you on Jackie winning!!! ( a different story), My wife and I ( she passed in 2015) voted for Jackie in every performance, and was so disapppointed, when Michael Grimm won at the end. It's like what they say, sometimes it's better not to win on AGT, with the exposure, you go on to do better things, and are very successful anyway, and Jackie has done that for sure, with her albums and concerts she has done, and still being Amazing. It was not good news to hear she was battling anorexia & osteoporosis too. It's good she is working through it, and trying to be healthy. I'm praying she will be able to stay healthy.

Hi rw716, My wife and I watched each of Jackie's performances on AGT and voted for her in every one. We were so shocked when she lost to Michael Grimm, you could tell it shocked him as well. You know what they say, sometimes artists go on to do better things after being on AGT, especially if they don't win. We have seen that with Jackie and also Angelina. It gives them the exposure they need to go on, and have a great career. I have given Shakes 17 songs of Jackie's performances of the Dream With Me Concert and Music of the Movies, both were PBS specials. Also some other one's that were not PBS specials. I wanted to give him enough for a nice start to a Jackie Evancho playlist for his channel. These AGT performances you have listed will be Amazing for him to have as well. I thought to give him some at her current age as well later on. It was not good to hear she was dealing with anorexia and had a car wreck and injured her back. It was found that she had osteoporosis as well, brought on from the anorexia. That's what I've seen stated. I am glad she is doing better and fighting through it as of now. I have been following Jackie now for a long time ever since her time on AGT. What a great career she has had with all her amazing albums and her live concerts. Like what you have said, and that's all I can think of as well, Jackie has the voice of an Angel. That's the first thing that my mind could think of, the first time I heard her sing. Just think, it all started because her parents took her to see the movie Phantom of the Opera, and from then on she wanted to sing all the songs that were in the movie. It was clear to her parents very soon, Jackie could sing beautifully. They were very happy that her dream was going to come true. @@thomashaines4379 Good to hear from you Tom! Before Jackie, I really didn't care too much about kid singers. All of that changed when I saw her on AGT. From 10 years old up to now, her voice is still amazing. Like we both mentioned, it's angelic! When she showed up on AGT The Champions, I was really amazed how she looked, a young beautiful young lady who looked like she was doing well. Never in a million years would I have guessed she was dealing with such a bad demon as anorexia. Hopefully she gets through this stronger and better. [davidhunter] Gee, I don't find it distracting at all!! Meaning, you haven't visited that many reactors I guess. And I can say that with confidence because "The Real Shakes-P" is NOT even close to other reactors. Guess you are just another habitual "complainer".

I remember the pitched battles held on one Opera Blog that focused exclusively on opera except when Jackie was making news, there would be hundreds of comments by opera fans objecting and Jackie fans supporting Jackie. It later turned out that the talking head for the blog wanted his blog to grow so he could upgrade his facility [in BBC Radio's building] and was fanning the flames. Once he got his upgrade, he dropped the whole Jackie debate topic.

@@jordannash1998 Hey again!! The name of the person you are trying to remember is Norman Lebrecht at "slipped disc" which still exists. In fact, if you search Jackie you will find more recent posts plus the older ones at "slipped disc". Norman Lebrecht created "slipped disc" in March of 2007 as I recall reading, so a few years before Jackie became prominent after her performance in AGT. As for your claims about "creating controversy just to grow his blog" might be true, I don't know. I have never read that about Norman Lebrecht and I have never cared for his style anyway so it might bee true.
