Recorded live at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City in October 1995. CD and Video Release of the "Wizard of Oz in Concert: Dreams Come True" was in September 1996. Proceeds to benefit The Children's Defense Fund. The concert featured guest performers including Jewel as Dorothy, Jackson Browne as the Scarecrow, Roger Daltrey as the Tin Man, and Nathan Lane as the Cowardly Lion. Ry Cooder and David Sanborn performed as musicians.

To go back in time...I would have paid almost anything to see this in person. I remember the original broadcast, and truly wish Turner would release this in HD. What an incredible cast.

I love Jackson Browne but this is somewhat embarrassing for a guy that I consider the best singer songwriter to come out of CA. Bad lip syncing at 1:02!!
