2018 boom is almost a reincarnation of the 2013 boom,ppl don't give the 18 boom enough credit. The book was fire and every section is holding their weight including Trumpets they didn't have not one bad arrangement.

Jackson State is just too polished and collegiate for Alcorn...it is an obvious difference in sound and musicality....anyone who said Alcorn for the W needs their ears checked...JSU straight shined on Alcorn...

2 years later and I’m still amazed at how JSU contrasted the two programs. They had total command of every song they played. Clarity, blend, dynamic range, song selections from every musical genre, just everything. Alcorn on the other hand sounds like a dope high school band. AND it felt like JSU could go 15 more rounds.

Thanks Kev, for the footage! Alcorn always have a alot of energy in their performances including the GGs. I have become a fan of them. However, the boom has had a great season this year, nice and clean. I've also enjoyed the choice of field show themes this year. I always look forward to seeing them on my notifications. They got the win for me!

This was definitely among the best 5th quarters this year. I give the win to JSU overall, but Alcorn definitely did not go out a punk - sound wise they were both great. I especially liked Alcorn's Unbreak my Heart. Too bad it didn't go longer!

This was probably my favorite 5th quarter of the year. JSU with the win because they brought the heat from beginning to end. Alcorn sounded really good to me too, though. The song selection wasn't the best, but they still pushing out watts. Good to see a nice, long 5th between two good bands. Hats off to both. And yea, this footage is pretty damn great!
