The regional theme park company Adventure Landing, which owns a water park in Jacksonville Beach, has been fined by the U.S. Department of Labor for violating child labor laws.

@MuffinCHeeler Florida’s GOP, led by Gov. DeSantis, signed laws allowing teens to work over 30 hours per week even in hazardous jobs, while 12-year-olds can work in agriculture. The GOP claims this fixes labor shortages, but it's our kids being forced into unsafe jobs, while immigrants-who could fill these roles-are vilified. Immigrants aren't the problem; it's GOP xenophobia infecting half the population. This is why Adventure Landing did it, with other businesses to follow. Florida, end the GOP reign of terror.
