Yet another upload that I knew was coming 😂!! Sam Houston had their first win of the season DEEP in the bag and JSU just said "NO CELEBRATING FOR YOU TONIGHT" 😂😂 That's a HARSH way to go 0-4.

Couldn't care less about either of these teams, but it was on TV, so I watched it. So glad I did. What a great game. I love college football, man ❤

When they went up 27-20, Sam Houston should have gone for 2. Try to convince me otherwise.

It made no sense to me when SHSU didn't go for two, when they scored the TD w/ 75 seconds to play. If they converted, it's a two-score game, and if they failed, they're still up by seven. Especially after going for it on fourth down, it made no sense not to go for two. They literally cost themselves the game. On a side note, I hope the woman on the sideline is all right. It looked like she got her ankle rolled up. Edit: For those of you getting so hostile about why this line of thinking is wrong, you're missing the logic in this. SHSU clearly thought that a four-point lead would cost them the game. That's why they went for the TD on fourth down. They were essentially saying, 'After getting the ball back, we think that JSU will drive the length of the field and score.' But, they stopped short in their rationale, and instead of putting the game away, they put JSU in a situation, where they assumed that they'd have a good chance to tie the game. Even if they missed the two-point conversion, they still have a seven-point lead. There's no real logic in JSU driving the length of the field, scoring a TD, then going for the win. They'd almost assuredly play for OT. That's why these two value propositions aren't inherently equal. SHSU going for two and a chance at the win, while assuring themselves of no less than a seven-point lead had much greater value than JSU scoring a TD at the end of the game and trying to convert a two-point conversion for the win.

This is the second time this year that a maroon-colored team beat an orange-colored team with a feline nickname on the road in overtime in a conference game at the American South. Coincidences are fun.

SHSU snapped the ball on 4th and goal with 23 seconds left on the play clock and a running game clock. Jacksonville St downed the ball to stop the game clock at 18 seconds before scoring on the next play. Tough break.

Really hate when teams run a prevent defense with a good amount of time left in the game
