@@an_38kitkashyap So have You Listened to Walking the fallen,Sounding the seven Trumpet, city of evil, Hail to the king ,The stage album?? then you should. A masterpiece was created.
@@lunginnrh939 I've listened to it. Listen. I'm saying only for me, and I would prefer Jacky's sound than Syn, in all the songs you've mentioned. And BTW, my feviourite guitar players are Jason Becker and Marty Friedman. I'm not saying Syn's bad. He's a brilliant composer, and a guitar player. But, I sometimes do find that he's worshipped more than his actual ability. He's not the most greatest(no. 1) out there. You can add him in the greatest list, but not at the top. There's more players better than him. And if you speak of modern players, than remember there are guys like Tosin Abassi, Jason Richardson, Angel Vivaldi, Andy James and many more. And Jacky surely is among then now. That's why he left that band. He wanted to be in a more virtuoso band. Just listen to Jacky's collaboration with Jason Richardson. He did a blistering solo. And for more melodic songs, listen to Cry Venom : Soul Shines through. Would remind you allot of the 80s
@@an_38kitkashyap lol bruh it's his choice... Your taste and his is different... Cause personally I like syn's melody too... And he was way better dynamics as he incorporate a little bit of jazz and reggae... But it's all personal choices so i wouldn't care less if you like Jacky's better
There's no actual competition unless you're just looking at speed. I guarantee if syn tried he can play just as fast. But he chooses not to, he enjoys the songwriting and making you feel something more than just going for speed. Syn imo is approaching John Petrucci's level in recent years. I feel like in the next album or two he will be there.
And Syn is more technical, as he emphasizes advanced economy arpeggios, whereas Jacky plays generic three note per string alt. runs and common five string sweep patterns at a ridiculous speed. Syn is definitely more of a technician, as his most of his solos utilize intense acrobatic arpeggios that are fast enough to maintain relevance.
Jacky should play for a band like dragonforce in his young days. Played for falling in reverse was good choice but his music skill was kinda in a waste.
As much as jacky can go fast a good solo isnt how fast you can go syn could to that all day but he has melody and dynsmics dont get eme wrong jacky is a crazy good guitarist and i respect the guy but syn will always come out ontop due to being a amazing song writer and all round guitar
It's really funny, because I find Jacky's solo to be more melodic, and has got that 80s feel. And his solo albums are just wow. Just listen to the song Rain by him. It's just wow. And of course, technically, Jacky is superior here. Those who says that he only sweeps, are retarded. Jacky can do simple FIR thyoe of Sweeps, to highly complicated Jason Becker type of sweeps. And hai economy picking is just flawless. And same goes for his logatto. Even tho I'm from the 2000s, I always preferred 80s shred. And Jacky had that. Also, check out his collab with Jason Richardson. It really shows you who's superior out here.
@@vena7429 I listened to both the guitarists and found really good solos in both of them. And for your kind info, Jason Becker and Marty Friedman are my fav. So there you have it
“Syns could do that all day” lol, that's just false. He can go fast, sure but not nearly as fast as Jacky and even then it would be sloppier than Jacky. Jacky has some of the craziest and cleanest techniques in all of guitar world. When I first heard him play in one of the shred wars from Jared and he played some of the most melodic shred I've heard ever. Syns is good sure he was once my all time fav even. But Jacky is still better his fingers can probably move faster than sound reaches your ear, he has a greater knowledge in music theory, and if you think he isn't melodic or a good writer then you haven't listened to his music at all. Avenged sevenfold was the better band but if you think that Syns is a better guitarist than jacky then you are terribly biased.
Glad I didn't have to step in on this, but imma do it anyway. Jacky has this spotlight and there's no argument to disprove it. Syn/a7x is great but way overrated. Jackys skills are no longer bottlenecked by a band and his sound fuckin flourished. Needles to say, Syn isn't much without his band.
You didn't ever listen to Jacky did you? Listen to some of these and tell me he lacks in his guitar playing or what he feels ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2ZZ3aTIlLqw.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ITv7zezNBNY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bJajA0aOWs8.html And for his technicalities- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fxz6iZciaCY.html
Jacky Vincent also plays his guitar up on his tits where it’s the easiest to play bc your wrist doesn’t have to hit any weird angles. In comfortable. Syn can play this ridiculous stuff w his guitar down way low. Especially higher notes, your arm is fighting your hip making incredibly hard to play. Clear to me who’s better.
Playing guitar isn’t about how low you have your strap, that argument is kind of ridiculous, but now that you mention it maybe that’s why Jacky’s playing is so much cleaner.
@@howlinhirshy8358 Synyster is awesome and I'm really not a fan of these comparisons but.....Jacky can play everything Syn plays but Syn can not play everything Jacky plays.
@@floydgtr It's not about being able to play a song(and I %100 believe syn can play those) it's about writing that song. Jacky has great technique but syn's soul feels better for me
@@mertcanel9721 I love Ax7 and Syn is an amazing player. I just prefere Jackys style. Have you listened to Jackys solo albums? The first one was very shreddy - in his 2nd one he mixed many styles of music and guitar playing. 😃
