Come on guys humanity is not that crapy ,there is beauty too , Jacob (as a part of it ) is there to remind us that . What we really deserve or not in life ? i mean , probably nothing ...
i’ve been playing piano for 15 years, i’m not gonna say it makes me want to quit but jesus this dude is a freak and i know he’s not even trying here. it honestly pisses me off a little, we don’t deserve him.
it's not about being perfect - it's more about being free. Just attended a school concert tonight with grades 1-4 - simply delightful. The free spirits and expression is refreshing. At some point, when we are a little older - some of us lose that, and replace it with caution, timidity, etc. Then, we spend the next 40 years trying recapture what has been with us all along. Jacob's fun, style and color is that which reminds one of a "freedom-tucked-away." It's a choice, and a lot of work to be oneself. Btw, simply just enjoy this piece of music!
Most of us are encouraged to become more cautious - when you work for a living, mistakes and free expression don't keep paychecks coming. If we vote for politics that make an easier time for all of us, we have a little more breathing room to work with on free expression. And if we all have an easier time instead of only a few, we all bounce off each other and inspire each other's free expression. It's no coincidence that the late 60s, when the middle class had the most disposable income in the 20th century, is when people experimented with psychedelia, jazz, heavy metal, you name it. If we want a little more free expression and less timidity as adults, maybe we should vote for a nice world we can share, instead of a brutal world we race to be champion of.
European Musicians tend to better prioritize this freedom of musicality in their work rather than perfectionism like they tend to emphasize in American performances
i think it's the way he's constantly moving, slouching, letting himself fall and so on. and maybe it's just me, but i'm not used to people doing that. i mean i know a few people who do, but the majority doesn't. i think that's why to me it looks a little not human if that makes sense, it irritates me (in a beautiful, captivating way, but that's not the point) which is a perfect trait for a villain. ya i put too much effort in this 😘
OMG I'M THINKING YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT SINGING, BUT YOU NEEDN'T *THE PIANO* . **puts the video at 0.25 and takes 8 years to learn this run** At least I know it's in E flat? Maybe? I'm not sure anymore. 😬
Correct me if I'm wrong, but eared it out on my piano and it sounds like a run in C major(with a skipped B-flat), but then when it hits the F on the lower neighboring octave, it climbs up two semi-semitones to G, plays an F again to transition to a run in C altered. The last note was a D.
He has a very wonderful color to his voice. Wish I would have heard it more clearly. I thoroughly enjoyed this fun session though as he was just grooving with the melody and making it his own. AMAZING 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽✨
I literally just keep replaying this. It is so satisfying to hear his voice and his skill with the piano. Jazz can literally be so difficult to do well and even though this is really casual the artistry of it is great.
The way he plays he expresses each note with his whole body and head movement and slows down and picks up at just exactly right pace with a smooth flow! He has confidence in each note he plays hence he makes the best pieces!
Looking for some other good unique version of this song, Best Part, then I saw this! Can't even imagine how he made those mixes of chords, 'cuz me, myself, couldn't do that haha. Just sharing.
This is the definition of "Enjoy music ,play and having fun" Yeah. . Unfortunatly For so many people definition of soul should be playing like J.Hendrix, BB King or singing like S.Wonder, D.Hateway, F.Mercury.... But the world changes. This guy deserves. He is unique in its style and brings something new with all his soul and his knowledge with great spirit. Congrats JC.
