49er fan here. Also ASU fan. I was at this game where he walked us out of the stadium. He was unstoppable. Never thought on that day I would be happy to hear your name again Cowing!! lol Welcome to the 49ers!
Wasn't thrilled at the 49ers drafting a shorter, lighter receiver. But after looking at his highlights, he's impressive. If he stays health, he should be an awesome WR in the NFL. Probably won't be much of a blocker though.
Interesting pick...seems more quick than fast, but I like how he regularly reaches out to grab the ball in the air rather than let it come to his chest.
49ers seems to be drafting receivers that play some of the role performed by Deebo. I guess when Deebo were out, they don't have any receivers that can perform that role.
During the season I was like damn Noah Fifita is alot like Brock Purdy. and these wildcats kinda play like the 49ers. Cowing looked like a copy and paste version of deebo. Not in size obviously but play style.
I think he will be like tre tucker was last year where he was taken in the third round and poeple went wtf, but he ended up being pretty good but not great
