Yes because she was part of the civil service which is assumed to be impartial. The issue is that the civil service must handle bureaucracy without being partisan.
It should come as a surprise to no-one that JRM, whose dad literally wrote the book on disaster capitalism, thinks that the word socialist is an insult.
@@MadKieranM to his sort it is. Socialism is paid for by taxing a portion of the wealth generated by the nation. If it is taxed and redistributed to the people then the likes of Mr Mogg can't steal it all and pretend they are going to reinvest it for the benefit of all.
@@lahtal1 While the Tories definitely put a Russian spy and someone who made off with £29 million in PPE money into the house of lords, refugees would be an improvement!
JRM knows all about "conniving". As a hardline Brexiter he moved his management company to Ireland after Brexit so his business wouldn't be affected by what he inflicted on others.
How very dare you drag up what Jackoff Reeks o Smeg said a month ago, totally irrelevant to what he's saying today......"m'lud, the defendant wishes to change his plea to "yes, I'm stupid, I forgot what I said a while ago"........
Unluckily the rules only apply for MPs not the civil service… pity though as it’s the civil servants that always take the fall for the ineptitude and idiocy of MPs
No rule has been broken and the “haunted pencil” should be very careful with his words. Inside Parliament he is protected but those same words are now heard throughout the whole world and are vile in their untruthfulness.
Outraged Tories cannot point to any rule broken but are scared in case the truth comes out about their lies and corruption. I wonder why Haunted Broomstick is so worried personally?
Anyone who supports the mendacious MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip tells you all you need to know about this vacuous specimen who hides behind a Westminster/Etonian affected accent and constantly bends at the slightest breeze.
@@bereal6590 I'd pay to see him have almost any proper job. It could be a new series on Channel 5: Mogg down the sewer, Mogg at the building site, Nurse Mogg. The list is endless.
She did not look into all the parties that's the annoying thing. She didn't do a thorough enough investigation . We already know there were events she didn't cover and not did the police investigation. Let's hope they are stupid enough to reopen the whole thing. The privilege committee will find Johnson guilty , rightfully. It will be the sanction and I think there is a vote so this is an out for the Tories to say we couldn't vote for this decision as it was based on the 'discredited' report. Anything to save Johnson
@John Owen boris commissioned the investigation led by sue gray, god knows why when everyone knows boris is a liar an in reality he should be up for murder when he allowed oaps to be sent into care homes without testing, now labour aren't that much better but never trust a tory...
@@paulmcloughlin9913 What was to stop the care homes themselves testing their incoming clients and only admitting them if clear. They had a duty of care to their existing clients, surely. Don't put all the blame on the Government. Also the hospital's should have been testing all those leaving for homes before they left. You're too keen to blame the Government when the idea of moving people out to make space was a good one. Anything to criticise a party you're not keen on. Think a little deeper before making such puerile statements!
@John Owen your very wrong I'm blaming the smug lying boris johnson, your clearly a boris fan which is fine we all have are opinions mine is mine an yours is yours
@@paulmcloughlin9913 Fine. Just improve your grammar. It's still a puerile statement though. Sunak seems to be working through the problems! Labour have no sensible answers at all, neither have Lib Dems or Reform.
Hold on was Jacob not a government minister I thought you couldn't take up other employment . Surely it cannot be right for Mogg, Dorries and Johnson to take up roles while we hold a civil servant to a higher standard. I thought Civil Servants just carried out government policy. So did Sue Gray not fulfill her duties as a CS ?
Why can't Labour do politics? they should have immediately asked JRM for proof and if cannot provide it then apologise for misleading the house. Its simple politics.
People say Sue Gray is an honourable person said Jacob Rees Mogg when we could not jump to conclusions before her report was published. However we can accuse her of being a fifth columnist and somehow orchestrated parties in Downing Street and made Boris Johnson unwittingly attend. If this Civil servant is this clever maybe she should be PM.
@@johnnotrealname8168 yes they were. Which is why they didn't provide sworn testimony to the court for the reason. The actual reason was to prevent parliament carrying out its constitutional function.
What about MP's that swap from one party to another? This is ridiculous. She was impartial when in the Civil Service job, the sign of a consumate professional. I was in the Armed Forces for 30 years and I served whatever government was in power despite being a hardened and proud Labour man.
@@dogzero1 Eh? If he breaks a code or law aside/unwritten rule as we are concerned with here that would be problematic but not switching parties itself.
Socialism - working together, collaborating together for the greater good of everyone. No one is left behind, no one is left to rot. Everyone has a home, food, medicine Profits from public owned infrastructure is pumped back into help everyone and make things better for everyone. Compassion, kindness and sharing The Tories - the public pay the majority of their wages to privately own companies who keep the profits in offshore accounts and brag about the billions they have made off the backs of the general public suffering Ohh yes, the narrative that socialism is bad... It doesn't work anymore. I want us all to be ok. I want us all to be happy. I want us all to feel valued. I am fed up with the few taking everything from us to line their pockets.
Utopia sounds incredible - Can you name one country where this has been an ongoing success? I’d move there in a minute. I’ve been looking for ages but can’t find any place where socialism has actually worked, its soooo frustrating!
@@cee-cee I would venture that your definition of Socialism is inappropriate. Socialism is not a complete and unique political system for running a country any more than Capitalism is. Both methods of organising human behaviour can exist in differing forms both at the same time and in many types of political system. The NHS, housing and unemployment benifits, the public roads, police and fire services, charities etc are all examples of socialism. Basically communal division of costs and benifits is socialism in action and this is an intrinsic behavioural trait in all human groups geographically and historically. The contention as to which system is the most suited to which situation is of course what we can argue about!
Moggie imagines himself as a wealthy industrialist in the 1910's that has connections to Parliament in the industrial revolution age where orphan British boys ask for a quarter and sell news papers ontop of wooden boxes, and I'm willing to gander that he imagines that the great British empire still exists and his favorite best friend is Churchill whom he believes is still alive. Oh yes unicorn world fantasies, How wonderful
How dare they? With civil servants continually flowing in and out of political positions with the Tories, they are not the ones to criticise this of move to labour.
I've got a pretty bad opinion of Mogg after watching him over the past few years, but I thought he might have some sort of moral rock bottom that even he wouldn't try and sink under. I'm starting to think he would, quite literally, peddle anything to gain more power. If this wasn't 2020s UK, but 1930s Germany, imagine the stuff this man would be proposing to further his reach. The thought is pretty chilling.
The man pushed for the UK to leave the EU so he could make money crashing the value of the pound. He protecter himself moving assets to Ireland but sod the British people. Who cares about the plebs? Not JRM!
He himself said sue gray would act independently and that we should respect the outcome of the report. Now the report is bad he says she has a rubbish reputation
Has any of the things she said been disproven? Boris Johnson chose her for the position, is his judgement that bad that he can't even choose someone who will rule in his favour?
Sue Gray had left her ethics role to work in Michael Goves department when the inquiry began, and took the lead role only when the cabinet secretary Simon Case recused himself from the role.Even when it was published Boris Johnson said he had been exonerated
I don’t even know why Sue Gray’s impartiality is even up for question… what she was appointed to investigate (by the perpetrator, no less) didn’t even require investigation- because a lot of the evidence was already public 🤦🏾♂️
What does that make Mogg then? A hypocritical sociopath? Think that cap fits far better than his delusional accusation based on his comments from over the years (His view of the Grenfell victims was abhorrent at best)
When appointed by the Government to head the Inquiry, Sue Gray was the most inscrutable of senior civil servants in the country. Now she is taking her considerable intellect and reputation for integrity to the Labour Party and the Conservative Party is worried!
Try this exercise: speak what you know to be rubbish in a slow and seemingly meaningful way and point your finger on random syllables. Do you feel worthless? Do you wish your Nanny taught you better manners? How does one act in this way and not evaporate with embarrassment? Edit: grammar as usual
