it really is. I can't believe he asked that. Did Jackie ever get interviewed about the assassination later in the years. Because I'm surprised she never got asked about on (on tape),
There is no way for us to receive all the information. The public is the last entity who gets to know anything. Never would we be allowed to know everything. Information is power. LOL
I have always wanted justice for the Kennedy Family From the EVIL pig's that Did this act of violence to not only the Kennedy Family but every American who Loves him and what he was trying to do for us the American people, they took our president from us. And by God I want Justice and so should every American citizen of the United States of America!! Stand up and fight for our beliefs our rights our freedom for Wich they try to take day by day and get away with pushing their bullshit ways of life down our throats, WELL NO MORE IM GONNA FIGHT FOR MY FREEDOM!!! HOPE YOU CAN ALL JOIN IN THE FIGHT TO SAVE OUR FREEDOM!
It's not like she never got any dick while she was in the White House, including from Bobby and Lyndon, as well as Clint Hill. In this segment, she even tries to deflect possible suspicion about her fling with Lyndon, by hinting, without coming out and saying it, that he made sexual advances to her while drunk. But what was she doing in "his room" to begin with lol.
I'm almost positive Jackie would have told John to not speak about how he feels to outsiders, only family and to politely say "I don't remember" bc he absolutely remembered and got that love of flying from his dad's AF1 rides and choppers. He didn't want to say anything and Jackie knew there'd be idiots who'd ask him.
Of course after JFK died...the America turned into darkness and led to vietnam and cold war which killed millions of soldiers and innocent, jfk couldve stopped the vietnam war if he wasnt assassinated
Even though JFK had an affair with Monroe Jackie was still known for looking up to her in ways of grace, style, and her voice (which she spent years perfecting) She never hated Marilyn because she knew what it felt like for Jack to take interest in you and she knew Marilyn thought he loved her, even through all of this she never even considered her a competitor because she Jack would always come back to her
I was an 8th grader when this happened and our teacher, a nun said that we could stay in the classroom with her throughout this crisis. I held up my hand and said "sister if I am going to die I want to walk home and die with my mother at our house". Sister didn't know what to say to that.
Jackie was a woman who cared. And she had class. An example is, after JFK's funeral Jackie Kennedy received tons of mail, written from people all over the nation, expressing their grief and how badly they felt for her. Kennedy then went about reading each and every letter and she wrote back, and answered personally to each and every individual person that wrote to her. It took months, but she did it. I believe the main reason why she did that was because, she wanted to help each and every person that wrote to her deal with their grief and sorrow. My mother even wrote to her and never expected to get any response back. When my mother got a personal hand written letter back from Jackie Kennedy, she cried and cried the whole day long. When my father got home from work and asked her what was wrong, my mother showed him the letter and he was upset but he was able to hide it.
I don't think anyone will disagree when I say it is simply harsh to ask a child “What happened to [his] father?” after he's been assassinated. Such cruelty breaks my heart.
Shoving a microphone in a three year old kids face and asking him what happened to his father? I bet Jackie wasn't there when he asked that question otherwise he'd be dead too..
i heard that she tried to put his head back together when she was sitting next to him in the car and when asked later she said she didn’t remember doing that because of the shock. i wouldn’t wish this on anyone like them or not nobody and no human should ever witness that. i hope she’s at peace now
That’s the only thing that makes sense, because it never made sense why she hopped onto the trunk of the car instead of screaming and rushing to hold her husband. That would have been my reaction, not hopping on a trunk
One of the doctors who worked on JFK vividly (and horrifyingly) recalled when JACKIE came up to him in the hospital, clutching a handful of JFK’S brain matter in her still-gloved hand. She tried to give it to him, hoping it would help save his life. I can’t Imagine….
It actually wasn't an idiot reporter. It was the historian Arthur Schlesinger who worked for JFK and was a family friend and remained close to the family until he died.
To me the sadest part was when John F Kennedy Jr is Asked what happened to your father JFK Jr answers in heaven and the photage played was JFK Jr enjoying time with is father in the pool President John F Kennedy one of the most beloved presidents shall rest in peace R.I.P John F Kennedy 1917-1963 JFK We Miss You 💐🌷🌸🌹🌺
Melvin Ascencio I also greatly admire both of them Jackline was very smart & very clever, she spoke 5-7 languages & held speeches it was in the 50tes & 60tes you can't compare that time with today. She truely loved Jack & he loved her, his Medic. Doct. injected him Doping Stuff & Testosteron etc. that is the reason he needed so much Sex, it was his weakness, most men were womanizers then! His Dad was even worse & her Dad was one, too. They had a mutual understanding between each other & Jack had terrible Back n Spine problem. He was a great president, it's horrible how these brutal cowards killed him. It was the worst nightmare more Jackline, her small kids & his Family! They shld ve told Bob not to canditate to be a president, even he got killed! His parents sacrifised all their sons. Poor little J.F.K. he turned 3 yrs on the Day his Dad was killed, it was his/their Destiny. His wife was very brave & it's amazing how she recorded all those Films & showed how he played w. his Kids. Thks to J.F.K we didn't have a 3.rd World with Cuba & Russia, Chrustow tried to fool J.F.K. but he had v. good advisers in his total team! Remember Russia was in East Berlin & whole of East Germany, they took lots of land frm Poland & other countries & bullied everyone there. In Germany many were scared of the russian, specially the poor got badly raped by them & the US soldiers, by the way 3 Mio ladies & they could never talk about this! Any War is a crime for the civilians. You americans pls stop Mr. Trump, he doesn't know what he is doing, he says 1 thing n does an other & he feeds his Ego non stop! My Aunt & Mum had at times an hair style like Jacky, she looked n moved greatly, God bless all of them.
The "Bay of Pigs" was a time that I recalled how close we were to Nuclear War. I truly felt it. At school - during one of our Civil Classes - they put the news on the screen during the class (the entire auditorium) were clued like to that screen and we realize history or whatever will transpire will have an affect on all of us. It truly was the scariest time for me and I was just 14 years old.
Jackie was the epitome of grace, deportment, and bravery during those terrible days after the assassination. At the funeral , writing to console a fellow widow, the wife of the Dallas police officer killed by Oswald, their hosts in Ft. Worth and Dallas, the staff of the hotels they'd stayed at who had specifically redecorated their rooms for them; on and on. She was not "silent" to everyone . And +Earthlinked, thank you for your post re the ballistics, especially your too-true closing quote.
She was a known fortune chaser! The Onassis Estate tried to give her a pittance of money! Jacqueline fought with Teddy Kennedy and top New York City Attorneys and got a 25 Million Dollar payout! Aristotle Onassis was a Oil Shipping Magnate ( he shipped oil for Arab Emirs and the Iranians)! Jacqueline was a hustler and smart to marry the guy! The big settlement payout by Christina Onassis put Jacqueline, Caroline and John/RIP (died in a plane wreck/ he was not instrument trained) on Easy Street. Caroline is the current Ambassador to Australia ( appointed by President Biden) and served Japan as US Ambassador ( appointed by President Obama)!
Look for this book : Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy. I have the Kindle version and it includes the full audio of the interviews. I think the print version may come with CDs of the audio.
now thats the violent....the evil side of America......the forces who are behind all this......guess he had to die because he was the conscience of a country that has lost its spirit that shameful day in Dallas....its all about power and money ever since...lifes dont matter anymore...RIP Jack....you were by far the side of America anyone admired....
im not shocked Jackie felt that way towards the VP. watching him swear in next to her, you could almost sense something was up. i know jackie was grieving bc it was a couple of hours after his death but there's more to it. and the vice president showed no type of remorse towards his death. not even a tear.
@user-nn7zy1dv3d Because you already hate LBJ, mistakenly think he was involved, you scrutinize his every word, action or gesture, to place upon it a sinister implication. And knowing your debased type, if Johnson *_had_* cried, you would brand it as fake.
Except MARILYN invented hers for Theater. She was highly influenced by her acting coaches. Her first husband said she sounded almost unrecognizable to him, starting from when he returned from Military duty. (She had done that famous nude “pinup” by then, and was on her way. No longer his “Norma Jean.”) JACKIE was trained by her Parents (especially her Mother) to speak softly, as a “well-bred Young Lady” should have a certain calm and soothing affectation in her voice. It was thought to make them more desirable, and a “better catch” for marriage. Her Father, particularly, admonished her to never raise her voice, especially in public. In her rare short public comments, her Mother spoke similarly. They sounded almost identical. JACKIE was teased mercilessly about it (especially by the KENNEDY sisters); and LEE rebelled against it. (Still, LEE emulated her when it suited her, as well.)
Jacqueline Onassis/ Famous Former First Lady! Jacqueline could care less! She got 26 million as the widow of Aristotle Onassis! Jacqueline Kennedy was raised to go after wealthy men! Her dad was not financially secure ( Jack Bouvier)! Her attorneys and Ted Kennedy fought Christina Onassis! The 26 million came from the 500 million dollar estate of Aristotle Onassis!
Marilyn Monroe started to become famous in 1952. By then, Jackie was 23 and already had that voice. When Marilyn Monroe "put on " that voice I don't know but it is highly unlikely she knew who Jacqueline Kennedy was in the early 50's. In my opinion, Jackie's voice sounds more natural - and Marilyn's more put on, especially the way Marilyn would move her lips when she talked. People who have heard Jackie's aunt talk say that she sounds just like Jackie - so it may run in the family.
Jacqueline Kennedy: I always sensed she was this great actress! She was made famous by marrying a US President! That beautiful veil at the funeral of JFK was legendary! Jackie then married a Greek multimillionaire after Robert Kennedy was killed in Los Angeles, California in 1968! She fled the US for about 7 years! She lived in Greece and New York City! Aristotle Onassis worth 500 Million at one time! Jacqueline got a big settlement from Christina Onassis after Aristotle died of a rare disease! She was so stylish and glamorous after the Aristotle Onassis marriage! He died after 8 years and left Jackie 26 million dollars ( equal to 100 million in 2022 dollars)! Jackie had to fight Christina Onassis over the 26 million!
I will never understand how she got through the death of her husband I wouldn’t be able to live after that. That kind of grief and pain would be unbearable. It’s good that she found some happiness again while she was down here but she did leave her young children to go and marry the billionaire in Greece. I’m sure the kids were great cared for anyways. She inherited millions and millions but that doesn’t buy happiness. And having lost her two babies oh my god can’t even imagine. Not to mention John constantly working his job must have been enormously stressful and all his cheating. No one deserves that
Of course refused interviews because she has been instructed to with grave weight of consequences should she fail to comply. Her man received harassment from circles and told her about it. She knew what was going on. But she needed to remain silent.
LBJ was a very shrewd politician and some say he was the Pelosi or McConnell of his time for purely knowing how “to play the game”. He was acutely aware that JFK only wanted him on the ticket to win the South and so he wouldn’t be a pain for his agenda in the Senate where LBJ warded great power and influence. Aside from the horror of the assassination, it greatly changed the landscape of American politics for the next 8-10 years. Many historians didn’t believe LBJ would’ve even agreed to be on the ticket in 64’ and let the chips fall where they would and then begin vying for the nomination in 68’. There were also concerns JFK wouldn’t be able to physically make it through about her four years because of his health issues. When he was assassinated, he wasn’t in good health and was taking large amounts of drugs both legal and otherwise to stay upright. Those 20-30 seconds in Dallas literally changed the landscape of American history.
I will say one thing, it all came back to the old man Joe Kennedy-he knew his sons where going to be in danger after he bs's some other people who were promised things that could not be forefilled.
4:21 Reporter: John, you remember your father... what do you remember? 3yo John Jr.: "I remember... I remember... I don't remember--ANYTHING!" (that bought him another 20 or so years.)
I have often heard that she married Onassis - only to get out of the United States. She was quoted as saying "They are killing Kennedy's - and I have 2 of them!" And that was the reason she married Ari and moved to Skorpios - it gave her the two things she wanted most - security - and the security of money!!!!!! The Kennedy's had money - but Onassis - had it in truckloads - Kennedy was a millionaire - Onassis was a billionaire!!!!!!!!
Jeff Schwartz I don't judge her for marrying Onassis. He wanted to protect her and her kids, and was very good to all of them. I believe it was a fair trade; he got to marry her, and she got protection, adoration and millions out of their partnership. If someone offered those things to me, I'd do it!
+MsJourneyfan Yes, and a big part of it, I think, was the importance of having protection from the media; not wanting to have reporters shouting questions about headshots as she's taking her kids to school or midnight mass or whatever. The kids could be safer physically, but emotionally and psychologically too. The details of how their father died would be a story best told over the years as they got older, guided more by their readiness to absorb it. That's a luxury we would all have that they didn't. At least she could control their exposure somewhat living with Onassis.
John L Shame on her, doing what any one of would do if we could. You realize she didn't need Onassis to go shopping, right? Would it be okay with you if she stayed unmarried and bought crap she didn't need? One minute she's sitting beside her husband, waving to the kids, and the next, his head explodes and he falls in her lap, a corpse. I don't know why she didn't become a heroin addict! You're scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something to get judgy about.
ALLEGEDLY: "AS I NOTED: "YELTSIN SAID NO, TO TURKEY HAVING MISSILES", BASED, UPON THE CUBAN AFFAIRS. GOT IT: "IF CUBA, THEN TURKEY", TO HAVE MISSILES."
The Kennedys were building a home in Virginia, that was to be not far from Bobby's house (Hickory Hill). Kennedy expected to still be active in national and world politics following his 2nd term and wanted to stay near Washington. Mrs. Kennedy wanted an estate to ride her horses, so the Virginia location suited them both.
President Kennedy thought his wife was a wonderful First Lady. Although it was not a job that she would have chosen. Mrs. Kennedy was shy and quiet, from what I have read in books and magazines.
She lost so much. She just lost baby before his death. But I think the more they loss and endured the closer they became. I think after the death of baby Patrick John and Jackie were probably finally in love with each other
Hope, wisdom, intelligence, vision, humor (JFK). Those that brought us to where we are today and the leadership we've had (lacked)during the last 50yrs (you). I'll stick w/ the former.
I’m only 32 and JFK’s assassination doesn’t seem that long ago to me because my Dad seen Kennedy whenever he was a kid my Dad was born whenever Eisenhower was president because my Dad was born in 1954.
J.F.K. was involved in WAY TOO MUCH ANGER & DANGER! He chose the wrong profession! A sad story. Ugly things happened. I wish I could re-write history. * Cav *
I disagree with Doris Kearns Goodwin. Jackie had an opinion of LBJ that was separate from Bobby's. I think what she said about LBJ was true. Everyone know that he had a drinking problem. He wasn't terribly cooperative with JFK-- and JFK complained to others about LBJ sitting in on meetings looking sorrowful and never saying anything. Probably the statement that you could "never" get an opinion out of LBJ was partially untrue, but everything else is true in my opinion.
After reading the book who killed JFK, I never liked LB. Especially his crude bad manners holding meetings while doing his business in the toilet. Urg!
Why would she want to die? Besides, the reason she jumps away is because she tries to retrieve the brain and bone tissue that flies backwards. Look it up, i'm currently studying it for GCSE, and it is a completely natural response to seeing a loved one get hurt or killed.
Tara Shaw Its the truth. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2485912/New-book-reveals-poignant-moments-Jackie-Kennedy-spent-JFK-kissing-feet-lips-blood-soaked-Chanel-suit-refused-off.html and: detroit.cbslocal.com/2013/11/20/former-secret-service-agent-gives-first-hand-account-of-jfk-assassination/ take a look, its a natural human reaction, i just hope nobody ever has to go through it. She was holding pieces of his head all the way to the hospital. Dont call me sick, and don't say im stupid, i never say anything without knowledge of it. As ive said, im doing History for all my qualifications and spend much of my free time researching things, the JFK assassination is a personal favorite of mine
Lewis Broadhurst That's a myth. Her body moved away before her head turned which is a natural human instinct to move away from danger. When she reached the trunk she then saw a part of skull which she grabbed but it was not the reason she moved away in the first place. Do not confuse or replace facts with what you want to believe, study it closely her body moves away from the danger before her head turns
She stayed in D.C. during the crisis for 2 weeks. She left and went to Virginia because she thought the crisis was settling. She was not sent away. She chose to go to Virginia to ride her horses. Her husband would then join her on the weekend as he usually did.
There will never be a First Lady as gorgeous and classy as Melania Trump. The horrible attacks she's had to endure against her husband would have done in lesser women.
You don’t know your History. It’s a well-known fact that the KENNEDY sisters teased JACKIE mercilessly because of her soft voice and gentile manners. They thought she was just a weak (tho “brainy”), beauty. She even refused to play Football with them. When she finally did relent, she broke her ankle, and never played again. She preferred horses. (Horses don’t like Loud and Rowdy.)
@@joiisler8986 it's all an act. The reason they won't release all of the classified information about JFK unredacted is because Jackie was in on it; she knew what "they" were planning. Just like when they shot him, she said, " Look what 'they' did to him!" She knew exactly who "they" were.
