I was moved by letter at end of clip and could relate to what father grandfather and grandson shared and felt 3 of my sons myself and my father I have had the privilege of diving with and I couldn’t be more proud of that .

I was immediately awestruck by the wonderful poetry you delivered. Your story really moved me. I was able to capture such vivid thoughts of those experiences In reverence of your father, thank you for the captivating imagery you shared with the rest of the world.

I was wondering along the waterfront at Toulon, France in 1975 when I accidentally found Cousteau's research center. I spent the day there.

I have mix feeling about developing human's habitat underwater in the ocean. I think ocean is suffering enough with our disposal and greed (over-fishing, off shore mining etc.). I respect Jacques Cousteau and his research, I hope he would feel the same way if he saw the ocean condition nowadays.

Grew up watching Jacques Cousteau on TV in the 1960s & '70s. Now we have destroyed the oceans. He tried to warn us.

Not entirely. It will only be a matter of time before we disappear and the oceans heal themselves.

Actually, large ambient pressure living space would facilitate saturation diving for crews large enough to work very large undersea farms like those built today by Oceanspar corporation. They are limited now by the short duration of "bounce dives" from boats, as most of their time has to be spent decompressing on the way up. To scale up sea farming, we will need habitats very much like Cousteau's, or todays Aquarius Reef Base.

To save the ocean, we must live in it. To gain a personal stake in it's preservation, to directly monitor the health of it's ecosystems, to undertake coral restoration projects and because the nature of humans is that they don't care about pollution until it's happening in their backyard. Internal combustion engines don't work underwater: All transport is battery electric and zero emissions. All energy is renewable. Structures become reefs. It is a uniquely 'green' way of life. Or blue perhaps?

What are some other good reasons you believe humans should live at the sea floor?

People need sunlight to live so you can't live in the sea floor

No we don't need to live in it the way to protect the sea is to not throw trash into the sea or the ocean will pollut
