Caverns of time packs are mostly reprinted old cards for a mode most people don't play. I'm playing twist a bit and even I haven't bothered watching any caverns openings... Also you often mention how people ask you where the hearthstone content is and I'd just like to say (as someone that only watches your hearthstone content) that personally I'd rather you played the game when you actually want to and had fun because that makes for better videos as well; even if that does mean taking a break or only playing around expansion releases.
1:50:28 Wild is the best format by far. You just need to be at a sweet spot in MMR and you will play some of the most fun matches in Hearthstone. It is not rare for me to have a long match where resource management was important to be able to win. I can use any cards I have ever opened basically and can create my own unique decks. Recently, I've been playing renethal dragon hand warlock and was playing against renethal triple yogg mage and I was able to win the match after playing kazakusan when I ran out of cards. The problem with Standard is there are almost never enough cards in the format to make an interesting deck that is unique. Almost every deck is just playing pre-made packages of cards. At least in Wild there are enough cards where it can be difficult to decide what makes the finale cut.
To be honest, Alextrasza and C'thun sound like a sick combo on one turn, if you have Battle Tactics Hero Power to reduce their cost. She goes down to 3 mana minimum, and C'thun goes down to 4. So they are a 7 mana combo. Throw out Alex to make the opponent's HP 15, and then C'thun to obliterate, and voila.
Texas resident here: That part in the north is called the panhandle, you were right, and 16-17 hours is about the maximum trip inside Texas from one corner to the other.
The odds of your opponent getting the abomination on a discover (which provides 3 chances) and assuming 50 8-cost cards in the pool is 6%! To figure out the odds, you have to calculate the chance they will not get the abomination for each of the 3 chances. For the first card, it's 49/50 (49 cards are not abomination). The second card is 48/49 (since we have taken one card out of the pool) and the third is 47/48. 49/50 * 48/49 * 47/48 = 0.94 or 94% chance to not get the abomination. So 100 - 94 = 6% chance to get the abomination. The fact they got such a perfect answer is pretty absurd! Edit: I don't know if your 1/15 guess was just off the top of your head, but damn that was pretty much the right answer!
But as we said, that's not lethal. C'Thun is buffed from other sources, so when bounced, he will be too small. His real damage is only 11, so the opponent would still be alive at 2 health if my quick math was right.
Man, I tried getting into Wild but there's just practically no variety. It's either Discolock, a Jade deck, a C'thun deck or a mix of the latter, across ALL classes. I've not seen anyone try anything more varied yet.
I feel like for discard warlock, the 1/3 imps were actively harming you. You know what, with so many silverware golem, I stand correct. Probably need cards that discard 2 or more, but cant control that.
The talk at the end of the video is exactly why I quit HS but stayed with SNAP -> Often times it felt to me like I lost since T1 simply because I matched into bad deck... and Mirror Matches, the thing I hate most -> I lost simply because I was so stupid and didn't draw as well as my opponent.. and even if I win such a match, it still feels like a defeat... the Location variance in SNAP at least can give you some edge against opponent, even when it's Mirror Match...

@regisstreambin judging with how the last two videos did comparatively I'm not too sure time will make that much a difference, it honestly looks like youtube isn't pushing your hearthstone content at all, last few videos I've had too come find even though I'm subscribed.
@@armytrainer on his main channel, the last HS video had 51k views. The last before that HS video had 51k views. The last before that HS video had 54k views. The last before that had 64k. His Snap videos ranged from 104k to 24k (most recent to be fair). I'm not discounting that YT doesn't push HS content to folks, which Regis has commented on before, saying he would have split the audience if he'd known Snap would take off, but I think pretty recently his HS stuff has held its own and the pack opening video (which didn't get pushed out, pretty clearly) was an anomaly
If it helps at all, I personally thought the pack opening was a fun nostalgia trip. Not the most exciting content ever, but definitely not the worst thing you've put out in 7 years. It's just, as people have already said, opening packs for mostly reprinted cards, and even the new ones are exclusive to a format most people steer clear from, all of that in a game with a slowly decaying fanbase. It's as niche as content gets, unfortunately.
I think more than anything you mention, you are simply tired of the game of Hearthstone and want to justify quitting for at least a significant amount of time. I think you are having difficulty coming to terms with that because of how much you have played, because it's a game that has meant a lot to you, and because it is the game through which you built your audience. Obviously there are other reasons and there's not no weight to the other points you make, but I don't think those points are the crux of the matter.
Opening packs is literally the worst content for hearthstone, we want too see the cards being used not obtained, and when you already show everyone what the cards are prior its quite pointless, its nothing like opening real life packs , and we know youre going too obtain all the cards in any exspansion one way or another. Idk, just seems very redundant
